It was a pretty good show, nice footage. It annoys me though when people boast about rides with false information...TTD, the first 400', 100mph coaster...but I guess whatever sells...Fahrenheit looks nice, that was the first time Ive seen it in action...

Well, it wasn't too bad, but I think it's weird that they didn't mention Maverick or El Toro at all while at CP and SFGAdv. I haven't been on either one yet, but they seem like the best rides in their respective parks to me. I guess they figure people watching the show only want to see the fastest and tallest rides out there, not necessarily the "kind of tall but really intense" coasters.

You beat me to it! I noticed that too. The general public wouldn't know the difference but for us it's kind of annoying.

They said first coaster to break the 400' mark. Not that it's 400ft.

And that would be false information. TTD is not the first to break 400ft.

Dragster was the first full circuit coaster to break the 400 foot, 100mph mark. Superman's just more of a thrill ride not a coaster.

Dude, trust me, you've got about 8 years of flame war on that particular issue that has come before you. S:TE is a roller coaster, just like Wicked Twister is, just like any other shuttle coaster is.

Just watched it, and was picking out all the little details the whole way through. At one point my mom asked me who I was talking to (just so you know, I'm just going into college and am not crazy... well, not completely crazy ). It bugged me how they showed TTD and Kingda Ka, the supossed "King of Coasters" *Bullcrap* and they didn't mention that they both use the same launch system.

It was funny to watch though, because it was essentially a show for GP who wanted to feel like enthusiasts. That Terminal Velocity did look sick though!

Oh, and does anyone happen to know who that "Coastin' Steve" guy was? An Acer, or just some guy who's a nut on another website? (you know, much like our beloved Big Mike)

PS- I could pick this apart, and it would be fun, but I'd rather wait and see how the topic evolves I think Robb should do a full blown documentary (has he?) and see if Travel Channel wants to air it Blow the GP's minds!

^^Yep, cause Fahrenheit and TTD are so original. Fahrenheit is a newer version of Maverick, essentially, and TTD's original brother is Xcelerator here at Knott's But TTD and Kingda Ka are apparently not alike either

My "favorite" part of the show was the Firehawk segment. That was the only one where I was seriously annoyed with all the people involved. New? Future? It's an old ride that got a new paint job and new trains. The B&M Flyers are more revolutionary than the Dutchman. And the guy they had doing the "commentary" during the ride was a real winner

I think it's because some people would notice the similarities between it and Fahrenheit. Which one's newer? Millenium Force still has enough of the wow factor to make its own segment.

Anybody notice the wha...girl in the Fahrenheit station freaking out? Calm down, you're not on Stormrunner. I wonder if Coastin' Steve is registered here...(nice goggles)

I thought it was a great show. Nothing more than I would expect, but it was still a good show. Maybe this will bring a few more in the future.
