verticalzero
Part of the European Coaster Club's USA tour was to Mt Olympus Theme Park. Ever wonder what happens to cell phones that get lost on rollercoasters? Well, this should be testament to the number of phones are lost purely in the Hades tunnel at Mt. Olympus Theme Park in Wisconsin Dells, WI.
Kennyweird
This is why the tell you to secure all loose articles before riding, but people still don't listen...
Markieb
How kool and odd both. The park does not retrieve lost goods to return to customers? That kinda sucks!
mcjaco
^ Huh? Please check this out: TPR's TOS I know you're new here, but that post makes no sense. And "kool" is mispelled.
Carnage
How kool and odd both. The park does not retrieve lost goods to return to customers? That kinda sucks! Mt. Olympus' employees are as lazy as they come. It's a chore enough for them to get off their butts to check lap bars. I can't really see them climbing down into that tunnel daily to bring back smashed cell phones.
Markieb
Employees may not want too, but it seems daily pick ups would be standard policy. I just find that odd.
Robbie
Thats interesting actually, I figured there would be more though.
ElToroGirl84
Looks like one of them is a camera. It surprises me no one working at the park retrieves these and tries to sell them.
Robbie
Yeah, because I mean I sure could use a cell phone, and I see some pretty nice ones! No one would ever know the difference
Carnage
Employees may not want too, but it seems daily pick ups would be standard policy. I just find that odd. Again, Mt. Olympus just doesn't seem to be the type of place that would bother sending people out to collect broken loose articles from a tunnel.
astroworldfan1
Isn't Mt. Olympus the park where their employees have been photograpghed sitting on the control pannels for the rides? I find the employees way to lazy. -Tatum
holyblakbelt
Maybe they should add this statement to the rules they say before the train dispatches... "Remember, never text and ride at the same time!"
dockers
When I read the title, I thought that this was going to be about those Verizon "Dead Zone" commercials. I wonder why they're all in a pile like that...maybe the incompetent employees put them in the pile.
Markieb
Vertical Did you have access to a non public location to shoot this picture, or is it in an area in plain view?
zeke11793
^ If I understand correctly (from the other pictures in the gallery), This was part of a tour of Hades' tunnel that Mt. Olympus did for the European Coaster Club. But no, this area isn't in plain view.
Angry_Gumball
Wow...that is crazy. Are people that tied to their cells that they have to make/receive calls while on a coaster? Wow...and I thought having to make/recieve calls while driving was bad enough.
Wes
^ Probably more a product of loose pockets than anything.
Markieb
This was part of a tour of Hades' tunnel that Mt. Olympus did for the European Coaster Club. Good, then there is no temptation for someone to try and get them by jumping down from the queue!
Carnage
^ Probably more a product of loose pockets than anything. That'd be my guess as well. I'm thinking this was probably taken right after the first drop in the tunnel. That drop hits you pretty suddenly, so any articles sitting in a loose pocket are going to come flying out. russell
Did you have access to a non public location to shoot this picture, or is it in an area in plain view? Actually... the shot is mine, and it's no where close to "in plain view." It's actually fairly deep in the tunnel (maybe mid-way?) and, I'd guess, it's a place for employees who scout the tunnels to toss loose items. There are also several hats strewn around the tunnels on various poles and under tracks (of course)... My entire flickr set lives here in case anyone wants to check it out and comment or what-not... Otherwise, the ECC "American Adventure III" tour with daily trip reports lives here.

Josh Linn
Damn, I even see a BlackBerry in there too...that must've been an expensive ride.
