The park operations and staff here horrible. With two exceptions for Goliath and Acrophobia's staff. They were singing on the mic, getting the crowd involved, and just all around fun.

BUT. It was the usual SF operations I hear about.

-Ninja, GASM, and I think the Wile Coytote were all one train ops, making it hard to get those credits.

Wow, that sucks that the park wasn't operating well when you went. Well by reading your TR it sounds like you didn't really have to wait in any serious lines despite the poor operations, which is good.

p.s. Wile E. Coyote is a one train coaster.

The no bag policy/loose articles was very 'loose'. I could put my shoes/camera/phone in any of the places to the side of the station! I liked that a lot. Though on Goliath, they didn't let you put bags there.

Now, that truly shows you how bad the management is there. They aren't even telling people to keep their stuff except shoes in the lockers, and that's a big deal this year to not let people on rides with that stuff, or to put it on the side.

I acually love the Staff at Six Flags Over Georgia. This one worker was telling me about the reasons why they're taking out Deja Vu, before the offical announcement was made. She was really nice!

Thanks Monster Plantation worker lady!

I'm home! As promised, I have the pictures. But it's going to take a while to get the pics up without my laptop and iPhoto. So bare with me!

Here's a teaser..

^Ha...nice. Check out the girl on the second row far right. Someone had too much of the park's pizza LOL.

EDIT: Never mind. The photo was deleted. It sure was funny.

Can't wait to see the pics!

Alright guys, the photo TR starts here! The only hold up I have right now is this - we got dropped off at the park around 3:00 and my parents didn't get back to the park until about 5ish. During that time, we hit the back of the park - Ninja, Superman, GASM, Mine Ride, Wile, and the Skyride. So those pics are all on my brother's camera...they will be up later.

After 7 hours, and Atlanta traffic, we see the awesome Goliath towering over the highway!

Welcome to Six Flags Over Georgia...home of what could be the best steel coaster and best drop ride in the USA!

Gotham City...home to one freaking INTENSE old school B&M invert, the classic Mindbender, and a nice swing.

Batman, it'll make your legs feel like jelly!

Posted

Through the magic of TPR, I just transported to you the ghettos of Gotham! Batman has a really nice queue set up with great theme. I really liked it!

Time for my ride on Batman! After a front seat ride, it was AWESOME! After two more rides...I felt kind of sick. Two times is more than enough on this ride. It takes a seat as my #2 invert, behind Afterburn, but before Raptor.

After spinning up, then slamming you through one corkscrew, it'll whip you around and then throw you through another corkscrew!

On over to Mindbender! You're looking at one of the most unique lift hills ever...go ride it and find out why

First drop madness!

Look out for that loop!

The second loop is hiding in there...

Oh...that 'third loop' is awesome! Mindbender is very smooth!

A very nice addition to Gotham. The villains have to their ride too, right?

Six Flags Over Georgia is a very nice, well landscaped park.

Something speeds by though the trees as we head over to the other side of the park...

I may be crazy, but this woodie is great! Ejector air all over! And I don't mind a rough ride. I like to be rattled around on woodies.

I seriously loved this ride. Cyclone is my #2 woodie behind Rumbler!

Oh....baby....

You're hardly sitting...kind of standing. It's like...you're bending over/squatting! lol!

Who cares?? This is freaking awesome! The guy singing, the tilt, the whole feeling and the airtime was just incredible. It challenges Giant Drop. Destroys Drop Tower and all previous Intamins!

Wait...what's that wayyyy up there?

Stick around and you'll find out

^, ^^umm, it's the South, that's why. It does look horrible though, but it is just another way for the park to make money. Hopefully this isn't a thing that begins to show up on other rides, as it would run the look of a ride. Plus, I'm not going to do something just because I saw an advertisement on a coaster.

Great photos and report so far JZ, and I'm looking forward to the next installment. SFoG looks like a really nice park, and hopefully I can make it out there in a few years.

I'm going to, for only one time, agree with the Gator (GO DAWGS!). What in the world did they do to the Mindbender? I didn't like it when they painted it green from their old Grey model back in the day, but man, a TNT ad on a quality coaster? I knew Six Flags was desperate for cash, but not that desperate!!!

Also... Great pics! Good eye and camera speed!

^I was thinking the same thing, and while this is one way to make some money, there are far better ways. They could put up some posters or banners around the park, and it wouldn't look as bad as this. Plus, more people would see them as they would be along the paths, and not on a train that travels through a wooded section of the park away from the view of park guests.

Oh my God. What other things can they do to Mind Bender's trains to make them even uglier. They weren't like that for this year's Fright Fest.

Way to go Six Flags. Way to go. Well, don't judge a coaster by it's train!

Yeah, unfortunately the Mindbender trains have been turned into a giant Nascar promo. I thought it was really ugly. I mean...put them all over the park as posters or on top of Acrophobia! But wrapping the trains in them? Bleck!

The current...

I was really shocked to see this. But hey, it's a Six Flags decision...

Just as KI changed names, the ride still stays the same! Mind Bender was great!

p103.jpg.bcd37d4dddc69e01fbf52f7f631eaeb7.jpg

Before. These looked cool with the lime green!

Posted

Wow, those mindbender trains are intense.

Hey, if SF needs to make money then I guess that's a good way to do it. It doesn't hurt the quality of the ride so more power to them.

Posted

Oh, there are more!

Time to head over to Georgia Scorcher! They were letting you adjust the seat to sitting down! My friend to the right is like...6'2"..and I'm 5'9" Stupid op, you won't unlock it! God, this is going to be uncomfortable...

OMG! What is that up there?! Brother's reaction to his first stand up!

Woah....it's...huge! What is that?!

And we were pulled away on the drop to quick. Argh corckscrew madness! Btw, the seat looks like someone's shoe kicking me in the crotch.

Quick, everybody do the Jesus!

Hey BuddyChrist! Wait...what's that guy looking at?

Arg...there's so much B&M in the way...I just can't make out what it is!

....more to come

Those Mind Bender trains make me sad. It's a good thing Mind Bender is (in my opinion) the 2nd best coaster in the park. (And yes, that lift hill is very strange.) Looking forward to more pictures!

The adventure continues!

So, it's 100* out....let's cool off! Here we go...everyone act like you're a bear!

We haven't even gotten wet so far...this better get us wet!

What?! We didn't even get wet! This is pointless! And the signature move is stolen!

Ah, now let's head over towards this 'Goliath' thing I've been hearing so much about..

Hm, here it is! Let's see what this is all about...

Yeah baby! Here we go!

And up that lift hill. There ya go lift hill enthusiasts!

I think I did the 'Big Mike' face on this drop. Holy crap, awesomeness.

Hold on any way you can! Or...don't!

It's a looooonnngg way down!

Anyone see German Tom in the 4th row? And looks like someone couldn't hold their hands up!

Speed down, then shoot right back up to airtime heaven!

Everyone has their own 'airtime face'

Did I mention SFoG is a beautiful park?

Yeah, that helix will plaster you into your seat.

Forecast calls for more airtime hills. How many more? I think like...5 or 6. You ready for them?

I think this calls for a 'through the trees' shot. Well, this isn't Cedar Fair, so it's possible!

Heck, let's go OVER the trees!

A quick interruption for this overbank.

OMG...there's more?!

Yeah, soon enough...

Great TR! I was there a few weeks back - and LOVED IT! Nice to see some close-up face pics on the coasters. I think there's a new trend there...

What in the hell did they do to the Mindbender trains???

^, ^^umm, it's the South, that's why.

Trust me, people in the south don't need to be reminded where and when to find NASCAR on tv.

Lamest advertising at a park....ever.

^ True dat.

though, to be fair, Indian Beach does something similar on Cornball and no one seems to give a damn.

It doesn't matter. You have flawed opinions

Look at the ride op... he's on his cellphone.

Though, I guess this is to be expected.
