coastercrazed49 Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 I was wondering how long do you think you will be doing TPR Trips. This is because I made an agreement with my parents saying once I'm 16 and I can afford it I can go on a trip. Any information would be appreciated.
jedimaster1227 Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 ^I believe it was mentioned earlier that they are planning to return to the UK in 2009.
coastercrazed49 Posted February 11, 2008 Author Posted February 11, 2008 I wonder if there will be more trips in the states for 6 years or over? I'm wondering if Kidtums and school might be a challenge.
yankees15 Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 You bring up a very good point coastercrazed49, because I too would like to go on these trips once I am older and have the money. Right now my parents won't give me the money for the trips. So, when once I graduate and have the money I would like to go on these trips.
mcjaco Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 I wonder if there will be more trips in the states for 6 years or over?I'm wondering if Kidtums and school might be a challenge. Aren't most of these trips during the summer? School isn't much of a problem for anyone at that time.
ebl Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 I'm sure Robb and Elissa have a special trip planned for Kristen's college graduation, so rest assured there'll be plenty more in between. Someday, I may actually go on one myself. Eric
Force 310 Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Yeah, I hope the trips will be going on at least four to six years from now... my parents aren't exactly what you would call "coaster enthusiasts" or "GP who are mildly interested in something about coasters" or even "people who can tolerate coasters." So even though we probably have the money, adult accompaniment would be impractical, to say the least.
coastercrazed49 Posted February 11, 2008 Author Posted February 11, 2008 I wonder if there will be more trips in the states for 6 years or over?I'm wondering if Kidtums and school might be a challenge. Aren't most of these trips during the summer? School isn't much of a problem for anyone at that time. Its not school thats a problem its that my parents say that they don't want to pay for something they don't want to do. So I will have to go alone and I am to young to go alone on a trip right now.
SharkTums Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Trips are currently planned through 2010. You never know what will happen so get on one when you can!
downunder Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 ^On come on Elissa, you should plan to keep going until KT can take the reigns. I know how hard you both work on these trips combined with everything else, I don't how you do it at all, but I'm grateful.
coastercrazed49 Posted February 12, 2008 Author Posted February 12, 2008 Thanks for the information Elissa. So in 2010 I should have enough money to go on a trip myself, and I will be 17 and old enough to go on my own. It will nice finally meet everybody and do something I really will enjoy.
coaster05 Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 I would think that the trips will last until someone finally whines one time too many and Elissa slaughters half the bus in an anger fueled rage.
SharkTums Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 ^So you're saying this will be the last year?!?!
astroworldfan1 Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Elissa, do you think Beth,Dallas, and Kristen will oneday take over the site and continue the legacy that is Theme Park Review? I can see Robb and Elissa when their senior citziens still riding coasters and traveling around the world. -Tatum
coaster05 Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 ^So you're saying this will be the last year?!?! I'm surprised you made it through those couple of people during the UK.
AllenA07 Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Elissa, do you think Beth,Dallas, and Kristen will oneday take over the site and continue the legacy that is Theme Park Review? I can see Robb and Elissa when their senior citziens still riding coasters and traveling around the world. -Tatum Over thinking this a bit aren't we! So lets see Robb is pushing 40, (I believe he's in his late 30's but lets round) and the average male life span in the United States is around 75 (again some rounding has been done). That means Robb has about 35 years left... So Robb, any plans for what happens with the site in 2043? Yeah I could have figured out Elissa as well, but I feel as though I've been lame enough for one post.
larrygator Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 I believe 2043 is the year that roller coasters are targeted to be built on the moon. So the Alveys will be able to answer that lingering question.
BarryH Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 By 2043, we should be up to the DVD "Coaster Expedition 9,257." It may not be on DVD, but a futuristic media. It might be all digitial or something we download directly into the chips in our brains.
Tanks4me05 Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 ^ Assuming they will do only one Coaster Expedition a year (with an occasional two a year) , it will be around Coaster Expedition Volume 55. Montu - one of the most amazing vintage, nearing antique B&M creations ever.
larrygator Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 I suspect Volume 10 will be the Midwest Trip and Volume 11 will be Japan/Korea. I think a new volume will be released with each new TPR trip.
