Yeah I remember seeing that and thinking..."Wow, I'm surprised no one has posted about that!"

Should be a nice addition for the park!

I could swear I posted about this before, I've known about it for months... oh well!

Yeah this will be a pretty good addition to the park. It's only 140 feet tall though, that's almost 100 feet shorter than the one at Magical Midway. Should be a fun ride though!

Maybe at wnycoasters you posted. Hopefully, if MFI and DL are done in the same day, I can do a meetup with the whoole gang on the Behemoth/Ravine Flyer II trip. (Definitely Seabreeze, too.)

Those types of ride make me crap my pants. I got on the one at Magical midway in Orlando and I was screaming like a little baby. This ride is cool and terrifying. Who makes these rides?

These are a good fit for small parks

Funny they bought one... I always though a Star Flyer would be awesome on top of a vegas casino or on the edge of the Grand Canyon or Niagara Falls etc. YAY for more Star Flyers!

Yay for Martins. That park really has been getting some much better attractions and beautification in there in the past 7 years.

The operator, who was originally a carnival operator, is really understanding the need for A-Ticket items and a unique park atmosphere.

This is turning out to be a prelude to an upcoming season of excitement where I live! I have never even been to Martin's Fantasy Island, even though I am only about an hour and a half away. I think that this might be the year that I visit for some hot Star Flyer action! It is too bad that they did not go for the 250' version, but I can see where that might be a bit too much for the family atmosphere of the park. I wonder if the Falls will be visible from 140'??

Good news for the area:

Darien Lake: Moto Coaster (How's that for a name?)

Waldameer: Ravine Flyer II (Hope to get out for some pix soon)

Hershey: Fahrenheit

Canada's Wonderland - Behemoth

MFI: Star Flyer

CP: Revamped kiddie area

Bad news for the area:

Conneaut Lake fire

No more Geauga Lake (Dominator/Big Dipper)

^Take a look at this picture, and notice how small those chains look in Joe's hands. Yeah... THAT is holding you. Then factoring that the swings move up and down a 200 ft (or however tall) tower while spinning a pretty good rate. You'll crap a hammer.

Seriously! As awesome as the Big Shot is, take it out and put a Star Flyer on top of the Strat! I soiled myself enough on the flyer in Orlando. I'd probably have to convince myself to do one on top of the Strat. For me, that'd probably be the scariest ride ever.

Glad to see another one is getting built in the U.S.

I actually wasn't scared at all on the magical midway one. Although that probably had more due to the fact that I was totally buzzed on beer and chicken wings.

I can't get myself to ride a Star-flyer due to the 4 small chains supporting the chair look so weak.

What is the best solution for me to try and get over this fear so I can enjoy the ride

I tried the one in Orlando and it was the scariest thrill ride I've ever been on! This will also be a nice tall attention-getter from the highway outside the park.
