atem122
The Gravity Group just released their pov, looks like a blast
DiSab
That looks fantastic. I'm loving how much airtime it's gonna have. Any word if it'll have more than Voyage? It looks to be close, if nothing else.
CD
That looks amazing! Airtime a plenty! lol Did anyone else think a few of the hills closer to the end of the ride look like they were shaped weird?
tanthonyam
Wow! After watching that video, this is what Terminator SHOULD have been! Maybe it would have a line.
DBru
I counted 19 moments of airtime...so not quite as much as The Voyage, but still a ridiculous(ly good) amount. The layout looks amazing, but some of the trackwork doesn't look quite right. Some spots look way too tight and rough---those PTC's will most likely tear this thing apart. Nevertheless, it looks like an awesome ride.
themeparkman25
^I am going to sound so pathetic here, but why would the PTC's do that? Seriously just out of curiosity I would like to know why. Is it something to do with the weight?
atem122
I think it is a weight thing, from what I heard Roar at SFA is hell because it's so rough, but Roar at SFDK which is pretty much a clone with slight differences, but uses millennium flyers still runs "gci smooth." The PTC's have been blamed for bad Roar's downfall so I'm betting they do have a weight issue.
packfanlv
^Roar at SFDK does not still run GCI smooth. In fact, smooth is not a word that can be used to describe it at all. While it is not painful, the ride jacks you around quite a bit. This ride looks absolutely amazing. I have to get back to China to see the two new Happy Valley parks. DBru
The PTC's just don't articulate enough to handle those quick turns/transitions. If the Voyage had been built at any other park besides Holiday World, you would see what I mean...
DiSab
Plus, the fact that each car on a PTC train has wheels in the front and back doesn't help the matter. The cars are just too long and don't have very good maneuverability. (So, basically exactly what DBru said. )

I guess it isnt Terminator smooth, but I mean it was completely re ridable, plus the only real woodie (screw you colossus) that I had been on before was ghost rider well and the 2 giant dippers in Cali Edit: On the plus side, ptc has designed new smaller trains that are just one bench per car, they don't look amazingly cool or anything though
DiSab
^And, last I heard, those single-bench PTCs still had two pairs of wheels per car. Which really completely destroys the notion of "articulated." The length of the cars, and thus the length between the wheels, was dramatically decreased, so while it will track better than the double-bench trains would, they still won't track as nicely as an articulated train (ala Millennium Flyers). Ravine Flyer II was originally going to be the first coaster with these single-bench trains, but they changed it at some point before opening because they didn't want any problems with the opening of the ride. And as of right now, I haven't heard of any other rides getting these new PTCs, so who knows if we'll even see them.
