astroworldfan1 Posted January 17, 2008 Share Posted January 17, 2008 Did anyone watch American Idol tonight?? Well, the second person on the show was a man named Paul Stafford. He sang ( or tried to and failed) runner up, Elliot Yamin's Wait for You. Pretty much it was not good at all! But, Randy liked the ending he put on it. Before he butchered the song, he said a little about himself. He first I thought he said he was a parking attendant, meaning he went around writing tickets. But he is a park (baseball, etc.). Then he said he was a member of the American Coaster Enthusiast. I didn't do well at all! Almost died laughing when he gave himself "two thumbs up!" . Thankfully there was the guy who had saved all of his pulled fingernails in a ziploc bag, if it hadn't been for him... And she was soo polite! I wish she would have gotten a golden ticket. She was doing this for her mom, not herself. On the other hand, I couldn't stop laughing at the girl who wanted to legally moon Simon!! And she has a liking to show the "finger". She couldn't sing anyway! I also don't know why no one from Louisiana hasn't tried out in Texas? Zen Coaster Posted January 17, 2008 Share Posted January 17, 2008 A cable TV channel here in Australia - FOX8 - is screening every episode of Idol 5 hours after it shows in the US. So for once we're seeing it at the same time as you are instead of 3-6 months afterwards (so cannot discuss it or go to the OS without finding out the outright winner). It's been two years since any channel has screened the American version here. My eyes popped out of my head when Paul introduced himself as an ACEr then went into perpetual rolling mode with all the coaster references. The two thumbs-up he gave himself was one of the most pathetic I've seen. Then he started singing. Sweet Jesus. Is it just me or is there even a higher freak to quality ratio than there used to be? I think my favorite was the guy that had never kissed or been intimate with a girl and he’s 19! But umm anyways so yeah there was a guy on last night that said he was an American Coaster Enthusiast. She couldn't sing anyway! You mean Willem (sp?) Dafoe? She was a dead ringer for him. The stalker song was pretty funny. I lost it when he said "If I were Columbo I would Peter Faulk her." It will be interesting to see some of the nutjobs they have when they show the Omaha auditions. I can't believe American Idol actually came here. BTW, did anyone like the No Sex Allowed or The Stalker Song? From last night? They were some of the funniest auditions i have ever seen, and that includes the randoms on Australian Idol.
