  1. I've been shocked all day. Turned on TV this morning, getting dressed for work, see BREAKING NEWS... and then big Heathy, gone. It's very tragic whether it was an accident or deliberate. I never thought he was a fantastic actor but certainly was good. Although this Dark Knight performance looks like it is gonna rock! So sad that we will never see him play another role.
  2. ^^ I'm with you on that one. I could probably get myself in the line for it but thinking about it.. nah, not worth the risk of something terrible going on. Haha I always think of that Simpsons episode where Homer gets stuck in the waterslide, which I'd have to say would be one of the most terrifying experiences. AHaha then having other kids come down to break up the "cloggage".
  3. The blonde fighter from Oregon was very cute.. But man, watching those auditions made me realise how many overweight people there are in the USA.. it has to be 1 in 4 at least.
  4. Well yes aside from The Dark Knight which I can absolutely wait for as the Joker is one of my favourite characters & Indy 4.. The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian - The music in the battle sequences rocked in the last one, so I hope this one delivers double the dosage. Sends chills up and down your spine, waters your eyes and makes you wish you were suited up and in the warfare as a hero. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - A fun series and another installment hopefully means another fun cinema experience. Yes Man - Jim Carrey's up and coming project, expecting a release late in the year. Apparently it is similar to Liar, Liar but who knows, I'm looking forward to seeing it. 10,000 BC - Seems similar to Apocalypto which I thought was an all right film. Good for one viewing but not again. Still not convinced that it will be great but we'll see how things go.
  5. Heya Everybody, hows it going? This summer.. (need Don LaFontaine to be speaking this), I'll be in Hancock, New York up until the end of August. I'll most likely have a couple of days to spare so I just wanted to know if there were any decent theme parks around or any must-sees rides/attractions that you guys would recommend. I'm not really interested in a minor boardwalk style family fun park.. more a thrill-junkie, savage pelvic thrusting park, if one like that exists. Merci.
  6. Well just as long as a closure doesn't occur at any time during September 2008, I'll be satisfied. I haven't been there yet but on the official website, the rides look absolutely wicked and I can't wait to visit it later this year.. so if it closes, as a lot of you have said, they should move the quality attractions into the Universal parks and amp up the theming. Theming rules.
  7. Wow man those photos of Wonderland brings back so many memories. Just then I looked at Google Maps to find its location compared to mine and it is actually not too bad of a distance away... I remember thinking the car rides to the venue would take an eternity. When I first went there as a kid, I recall being terrified of The Demon & Bush Beastie. Once I was older, I conquered my fears on both and just loved them.. although I never went on the Bounty's Revenge up-side-down boat thing. I still wish it existed.. it'd be wicked to go down there on a weekend with friends for some mild thrills. It's really nice to see these photos as my head is being flooded with memories right now. Great stuff!
  8. lol Geez.. how many people is this supposedly offending? 20 at most? Out of the millions that visit, losing 20 park visitors is almost nothing. I know Disney wants to satisfy all but my point is that if people don't like something that on an attraction, then they don't have to ride it --- nobody has a gun to their head, screaming and spitting at them to get on the damn ride. I mean its a few words of dialogue and if there is only a minority complaining, I'd say leave it.. it will just mean 20 people less to wait behind in the queue.
  9. I was actually expecting the boat to come screaming down and either hit him or come extremely close. He probably thinks he's invincible and that its no big deal to cross the fence and climb over the tracks of a ride in operation. It was in water too so even if he did have sufficient reflexes and agility, all movements would've been slowed down... definite hit. Just a moron.
  10. My homepark used to be Sydney's Wonderland until it closed down and the top ride there was easily THE DEMON. Now the closest park would be one of the Gold Coasts' four - Dreamworld takes the cake as generally the most fun but the best coaster probably lies in Movie World with Superman Escape.
  11. But why do parks have to follow crazy what if scenarios!?!? Car company's don't even have to make a car that will keep you alive in a 37mph crash! It's ridiculous to make parks make rides like that! lol No I agree with you, I was just explaining their point of view. They almost need to introduce a personality test to determine whether people are allowed to enter parks or drive cars etc. Way too many clowns on the loose, endangering other peoples lives.
  12. Haha wicked video. The promo worked on me, I wish to attend these!
  13. It's a pretty tragic situation. I can totally understand the motivation for the parents to sue the park as their rides should be safe, no matter what the case, even if it is overloaded by 500 riders. Still, I totally defend the park as many as you have. I could imagine a group of 10 piling up.. I could imagine that, but not 70 (it was 70 right?). Especially at that height! As if they didn't think something could go wrong.. well maybe they didn't think at all. There was bound to be people who were terrified at that height and clogged right at the top of the slide. One push from someone next to you and off the edge you go. And sure we can defend the kids actions by saying they are young and they don't think and everyone has done something similar at that age, but what does that mean? What does that do? Excuse them? No way. It's sad and terrible news, but it could've so easily been avoided.
