OK - I bought two of these new DVDs for some 11 year olds that love coasters (my niece and my best friend's daughter). I think this will be a great Christmas gift for these girls.

I think this type of footage will be great for kids whose parents might not want their children subjected to the PG13 langauge of TPR humor.

Just watched the first disc (btw, thanks for the package guys!!! I love you both!) and I'm really impressed. I'm not much into the coaster DVD thing, but it was fun to watch the full POV's and stuff. Definitely a great purchase if you really dig coaster footage. And it made Alexis motion sick just from watching it, so it really captures the rides well.

I preordered it. Haven't got it yet, but my local post office is notoriously slow. It took literally 3 weeks for a First Class package to get here from the next town once...

Yours was shipped so you should have it any day now!

Glad you liked it Wes. I feel the same way. It was a difficult decision for me to produce this DVD because I'm not into "coaster footage" videos. But I figured "Ok, if I'm going to make one, I'm going to make one that I'd at least watch!"

So while it doesn't have anywhere NEAR as much humor and antics of the traditional TPR DVDs, I do think it's more entertaining than your normal footage video.

I recieved a copy this afternoon in England, great video's of the coasters, only 1 thing wrong. 2 much screaming.

Is Tatsu really that rough.

Best Video: Thunderbird and Starliner, could hear the wheels working.

Worst Video: The Voyage, screaming girls and hardly any wheel sounds, I thought this coaster could of had new footage of the ride, but you added some old video instead.

If there is another "Coasters in the raw", please strap the camera to the front of the train and send it round empty.

For £10 it's still a bargin for 2 disc's..

What are you talking about? Other than the POV, which was provided by the park and probably won't ever get updated, almost all the offride stuff was brand new and shot less than 5 months ago!

Hate to dissapoint you but that probably won't ever happen.

This is just my personal opinion but a POV video with NOTHING but coaster sounds would be freaking boring as hell. I mean, we left the entire lift hill in when we had it and as much "coaster noise" as possible. Heck, I'm pretty sure that this disc has more "coaster noise" in it than anything else we've ever produced, and probably most other DVDs as well, but since there were very few times where it was just us on the ride when we shot the footage, whatever was in the background is what the microphone picked up.

People scream on coasters, and that's what the RAW audio is!

There is always a critic. I guess I am one too. Could you please have random naked women soaping each other up in the stations in your future DVDs? and oh yeah, make sure there is coaster noise too? No? Darn, I guess I will continue to be happy with whatever is on the DVDs the way they are, which are fun.

I just started my collection and I love Coaster Expedition #1. Looking forward to the rest of the DVDs.

Most of the DVD is excellent and I do admire you Robb for going out of your way to get layouts of the rides onto film so everyone can enjoy them at their leisure.

I know most B&M's are super smooth and I wish they made woodies, but the Tatsu video shakes a lot, is the ride that forceful.

I've only been on "AIR" which of course can't be compared to Tatsu.

What is the pretzel loop like to experience. I can't wait to try a "Pretzel Loop", the nearest coaster to me is "Speed Monster" at TusenFryd, Norway.

I meant the POV of "The Voyage" was an old one, liked the new stuff on it, would of loved to see the "Triple Down" with the lights on.

If there is another "Coasters in the Raw" DVD, please can the following coasters be filmed:

Superman at SFMM

Viper at SFMM

GASM

Texas Giant

Big Dipper at Belmont Park

Blue Streak at CLP

Screechin Eagle (before it closed)

The Beast (both braked and full speed no brakes)

SOB with Loop and without Loop

Flight of Fear coasters

Batman and Robin coasters

Superman ROS

MF

Mantis

Zippin Pippin

Big Dipper at GL

Ravine Flyer 11

Raven

Vortex at Kings Island

Canadian Minebuster woodie

Mindbender at West Edmonton Mall

Legend at Arnold Park and Holiday World

Big Dipper at Camden Park

Cannonball at Lake Winnepesaukah

Yankee Cannonball at Canobie Lake Park

Comet at Lincoln Park (if possible before it closed)

Cyclone at Coney Island

There are many great coasters in the USA which can feature on the next DVD if Robb decides to do one, and hopefully he can choose some of those which I have listed.

I love all the coasters in the USA, so much choice and better in the layout / design. Can't wait to enjoy a whole morning or afterroon at Timber Falls, front or back seat for best .

I come from a depraved country (England) which does not have many decent coasters. Most of the English parks are scared to build a good coaster with any length, height and wood coasters are so "rare".

Thorpe Park could do with a Mini Hyper or a Twister woodie, it was a mistake for them to purchase "Stealth", the park should of made the ride longer with more turns, hills and twists.

All our health & safety rules kill's 90% of any coaster plans, e.g. Not allowed over a certain height, not allowed to go underground.

**** Did you know****

Due to H&S problems: Lapbars and seatbelts are being installed for the 2008 season on the "Big Dipper" and "Rollercoaster" at Blackpool..

Both rides are perfectly safe with no restraints whatsoever.

Lapbars are on "Cyclone" at Coney Island and "Big Dipper" at Belmont Park, but if they added seatbelts as well. is that fair or gone too far in safety..

I think it's actually due to poor mounting of the camera. That was video shot by the park. I was there the day they shot that and if I remember correctly they built a huge apperatus in order to mount a camera.

In my experience the farther away the camera is from the train, even if it's attached to something, the more it's going to shake.

When we shot Air, we mounted the camera directly to the train and the footage we got of that ride is beautifully smooth.

The 70 coasters I rode in England sure did suck and I felt so deprived. Just like anyplace about 10% of the coasters are really good and the rest are average at best. That country is what 1/10 the size of the US so how can you even compare the amount of coasters between the two.

England has 2 coasters in my top 10 not to mention so many other good ones in Europe which is closer to England then half of the United States is to me.

I feel no sympathy about what your country has as I would much rather go to parks outside the US.

^You have a better shot at the naked women then the no noise at all! I mean, this is a TPR Video!

Based on what I have seen, I do believe this is true....Ok, Ok, I will accept the noise, as long as the naked wome....wait, I need to be a little more specific.... as long as the naked (non ACE) women are still in it.

[snip long list of coasters]

I've got a few of the Coaster Expedition DVDs and some of them have one disc with the "normal" TPR video stuff, and a bonus disc with POV footage. Yes, the footage is set to music and edited to begin and end when the song does, and there is some off-ride footage as well, BUT quite a few of the coasters on your wish list have full POV footage in the Expedition series already.

Pick out a handful of coasters you really want to see, look up which Coaster Expedition volume has them, and try it out.
