matteocrepaldi Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Thanks Six Flags fot not removing them!!!
Coaster Palooza Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Thanks for the shout out. I don't think I got the smashed pennies from that machine. I know that one of the Pirates of the Caribbean machines was broke in either Disneyland, or DisneyWorld. Can't remember which place. Great TR by the way!
shesaidboom Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Jer, I think this shot really needs a train in it. I was too impatient to wait for one. Can you help with that? My company admires the work you did with Raptor. Oh, I see how it is. NO MONORAIL SHOUTOUTS FOR YOU! (awesome TR, as always!)
BeemerBoy Posted October 4, 2007 Author Posted October 4, 2007 ^ Ooooops. Did my staff fail me and lead me to pick the wrong engineer/designer? Crap, someone will get fired for that, I promise! Scott, Please tell me you bought that hook after readjusting your "package" with it! Nope. I left it there for the October TPR crew to find and play with. Yay for more El Toro Fan Boys!!!! Yep. Guilty as charged. Thanks Six Flags fot not removing them!!! Riiiiight. Anyway, moving right along.... Time for the final installment. It was a short but sweet visit to EPCOT this time around. I had maybe about an hour and a half in the park. I knew I wouldn't be able to do much, but it didn't matter. Just walking around the place is enough to make me happy. I really wish I could've timed my visit to coincide with both the 25th celebration and the Food & Wine, but eh, such is life. I still got to have a frozen banana and listen to the Voices of Liberty in the American Pavilion. By the way, the show at said pavilion will close soon for refurb if it hasn't already. For today's nugget of worthless information, I can tell you that the screen used in the show is the largest single piece movie screen in the world. If I remember right, it's 150 feet long, and has been there since day one of EPCOT Center. Which is why it needs to be changed. It has too many small tears in it, and they have contracted a company who has promised to replace it within the three months scheduled down time. (Or so I was told.) Anyway, time to close this report out with a bang, wandless style, beotch. Bye Epcot. As always, I'll miss you. Here's a look at the greatest planter ever. Thanks for reading. Hope you enjoyed! As does the original logo. She looks so good. It took forever, but without a tripod and just a steady hand, I FINALLY got a pretty good pic of the interior of Mexico. (pats self on back) This would be China. It's cool. A view from Italy back to naked Spaceship Earth. These folks were nice enough to chat for a few minutes. They rock...in a very melodic a capella way. The Voices of Liberty. Or, a picture of the people who perform as the "Voices of Liberty." This is the showstopping finale centerpiece of Illuminations. If you haven't seen it, the globe opens up, and the sky becomes littered with a rain of fire. It's pure death and destruction at its finest. The imagineers developed it as a park closing crowd control method. It was easier to just kill off the masses each night. Fast forward to World Showcase. Mmmm, Japan. Okay, really? Seriously, you guys couldn't have found a better pose for Goofy? I'm not sure these signs have ever been changed. I sense they will be soon though. Oh well. They were still setting up for the F&W. I was left to imagine what it would all taste like. The food and wine...not the decorations. Ah, that's it! Thank you God. This Year of a Million Dreams really did pay off. Next, it looked like this. We got to Epcot, only to find several emails from Nantimi in our inbox. This was the first odd piece of puzzle. Monorail red, you can do the rest. Monorail green, take me to the Transportation and Ticket Center, pronto!
BeemerBoy Posted October 4, 2007 Author Posted October 4, 2007 Must. Get. EPCOT. Love. Soon. EPCOT love is now in place.
Ed Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 These pictures of Epcot are awesome... I've never really got the deal with the park before.. But it does looks like an awesome place. Mono...
bigjohnson51 Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 I'm patiently awaiting the Pluto video on youtube Great TR!
bgwfreak Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 This has "I just saved a lot of money by switching to Geico" written all over it.
mcjaco Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 Must. Get. EPCOT. Love. Soon. EPCOT love is now in place. I just started my Friday with multiple orgasms. Thank you!
gmoney422 Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 Beemer, had a fun day at GA! Probably better off without a ton of pics of me and Larry. The report wouldn't be as funny with our ugly mugs polluting it. "You totally got like 3 feet of air that time...!" Terrance, I smell another potential statue credit...! G$
BeemerBoy Posted October 6, 2007 Author Posted October 6, 2007 Terrance, I smell another potential statue credit...! Oh, God no! The thought of Terry at Disney frightens me. Anyway, yeah it was a blast, G. Everything but the multiple staplings throughout my time there.....including (of all rides, Batman! ). And I swear, if I ever see that punk Nitro ride op who stapled me, walked away, laughed as I left the station, and then left before our train returned, GADV might be short an employee the next day! I've really never been so ticked off at a ride op in my life. Other than that, yeah, good times.
larrygator Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 sorry I missed this posting when I was away. It was cool to finally meet you. You're OK, for a fan of a school with a big duck as a mascot. Aren't you glad I didn't invite Big Mike to GAdv to ruin your day
Coaster Palooza Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Scott is awesome...see other thread if you want to know why. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39263&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=20
