hersheypark1315 Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Was the supports that were up supposed to be the lift or for the norweigon lop?
Ccron10 Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 ^^ He probably goes to the Hershey Hospital which is across town. ^ I think those might be the lift.
Tanks4me05 Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 All I can say is that it's very... orange. But I'm looking forward to the coaster itself quite highly.
kraken613 Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 I would think they would have the webcam up soon since its gone verticle.
Hersheyparkman123 Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 ^ the colors, are orange and cobalt blue, because the Hershey School Colors are blue and orange. HAHA i go there. i just went by hersheypark 5 mins ago and the break run or some slanted long trach was put in.
coolhandluke Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 ^^Yes. I am so glad to see this thing get vertical. I'm hoping I can make it out there next summer. I'm a little confused though, is Hersheypark tying to make this out as their best coaster and biggest attraction? Or are they acknowledging that Storm and maybe a couple others are still their landmark ride(s)? Not that it makes a difference in terms of my interest, I was just curious.
Packers Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 It must have gone vertical pretty quickly! I was at Milton Hershey 2 weeks ago and the supports weren't up yet. Hopefully they keep up the good work. PS. BRTeller I suspect you are taking the pictures on the hill near Milton Hershey to see the progress?
Hersheyparkman123 Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 ^^ I dont know. i feel as though that is what their going for. but i feel as though Lightning Racer is still their landmark attraction...thats just my opinion. But i feel Fahrenheit will be their landmark attraction.
King of Ka Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 ^I'd have to disagree with that. They don't seem to hype LR that much, and I don't think most the visitors know it exists.
alpengeist04 Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 I think Fahrenheit will be a great ride and very popular, but I still consider Storm Runner their landmark coaster.
Yankee cannonball Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 ^^I agree 100%. I told my friend the other day thar I wish the wooden caoster at our closest park didn't suck donkey ball. he said "of course it sucks, it's a wooden coaster! anything made in in the 1800s would be old and rickety!" the GP view on wooden coasters needs to change.
bspellx5 Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 I'm going to try to go this summer in July, and I'm pretty excited about riding it. I love Hersheypark in general, and this is just another reason to go. Also I was wondering, does anyone know where the Howler is going? I haven't heard much about it.
Hersheyparkman123 Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 howler is going where that virtual theatre replaced conestoga.
Ccron10 Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 ^I never rode it when it was around, but it should've stayed because IMO it's better than a basic carnival ride tornado. Both are family rides.
hersheypark1315 Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Does anyone know if those supports were the lift or what....reply
Yankee cannonball Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 uh... forget I ever wrote this post
FeelTheFORCE Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 ^ Steel Hawg is going to be 96 feet tall with a 120 degree drop. Link
BRTeller Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 BRTeller I have a question for you. Since you seem to be the only person getting construction photo's of Fahrenheit, when will your next trip be? I really appreciate you taking the time to show everyone how the ride is coming along! I plan on getting back to Hershey maybe two or three weeks. I'm glad you like the pictures . Also I noticed someone said that why do I go to Hershey for an appointment. I have diabetes like I stated before and I go up there becuase Hershey has very good doctors, and are also famous for that and not just the park. Packers - Yes I am taking them up by that college or what ever it is. Not all of them though I do go into the parking lot and take pictures there to. If you read my captions, I touched it! -Brandon
knowit Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Conestoga was a GREAT ride. Lots of air time and very smooth! I'm actually sorry they got rid of it, but according to what I heard, the pin in the rotating mechanism became too hard to maintain. (the manufacturer updated the maintainance manual) As for the colors of the ride, it's not that color because of Hershey High! Trust me, if they were going to make it any school colors, they'd make it brown and gold!! GO SPARTANS!!!!
knowit Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 I believe that steel hawks drop is going to be considered an inversion.

John Peck Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Conestoga was a GREAT ride. Lots of air time and very smooth! I'm actually sorry they got rid of it Well, if your ever in the Northern Georgia region, stop by Lake Winnepesaukah Park and you can ride it there.
