Swimace
Wow, this ride is starting to look a lot better than I expected. I have to admit that from the concept art I thought this thing was going to be pretty ugly, but it's actually turning out to look pretty nice. kraken613
The drop dosnt look as good as a Euro Fighter drop. It dosnt look all that steep compared to some Euro Fighers. Thats just my opinion!
yankees15
Wow great pictures! This is going to be an awesome ride, I'm so excited!
knowit
I concede------It's an elevator shaft----although it could just be a stair case----Or the top of a multi-floor under ground free fall drop ride!. I can dream, can't I??
Swimace
The drop dosnt look as good as a Euro Fighter drop. I think it's the supports on this make the lift/drop not look as good as the towers the Euro-Fighters use. Just a dorky opinion.
King of Ka
^^^^ I think it's the track. The Euro-Fighter track from the side looks more like a line, whereas with Fahrenheit's Intamin track, it's harder to pick out the past-vertical degrees visually. Yankee cannonball
^it might also be that hershey park is taking "myspace pictures"

Swimace
^haha, yeah I get where you're going with that one ^^^^ I think it's the track. The Euro-Fighter track from the side looks more like a line, whereas with Fahrenheit's Intamin track, it's harder to pick out the past-vertical degrees visually. That's a good point. I think that a Euro-Fighter's tower looks really solid, much like a traditional lift hill. In contrast, FH's lift just looks like a mess of track which is probably a result of both the supports and the tri-rail track. ...just my two cents. knowit
sorry if you thought that I meant if RXCC was a terrible ride...I didn't mean it that way. I was just expecting a little more from the effects department, considering the company they used for the animitronics. It is a fun family attraction, and I ride it with the kids every time I go. fahrenheit1315
So anyways those close up pics are awesome. Wonder why they didnt finish the lift yet and the webcam seems to be down since friday?
knowit
Perhaps they want to wait to cap off the lift hill in some sort of topping off ceremony like they did with Storm Runner or like six flags did with kingda ka.
Hand 0f Time
When you compare Storm Runner to Fahrenheit, it actually does resemble quite a bit. the elements are compared, yes, but the layout, not so much. Lol, just thought of something crazy, but what if on the opening day, the producer of "Fahrenheit 911" would make a special guest appearance in it? natatomic
^Hah, like he'd be able to fit. And there'd be a better than even chance that I'd spit in his face anyway. No, as long as I'm indulging in this stretch of a connection of celebrities to a roller coaster, I think it'd be cooler (and less political) for the writer of Fahrenheit 451 to be there. Haha...cooler. I made a pun. :}
Hand 0f Time
Haha...cooler. I made a pun. :} Indeed a bad pun, but was hilarious. connection of celebrities to a roller coaster Are celebrity's taking over priority of general pubic to rides now?! God dang, another reason that many people hate their guts. It's bad enough they get front row seats in major sports-games without having to pay, but now this is ridiculous!! Hand 0f Time
Oh, lol. I thought you were referring to celebrity's getting into the coaster trend. Didn't know you were basing off that comment from my previous crazy thought of Fahrenheit 911. God, I feel dumb, lol. Anyways, back to topic, I found a good picture of Fahrenheit. But I mainly got this picture just because the long flight of spiral stairs. I wouldn't want to climb up and down on it daily for ride check-ups. Looking nice so far. fahrenheit1315
the ride looks and is gonna be amazing. The construcion seems to be at a standstill
Ccron10
After looking at the lift and not seeing any chain dogs, it seems like the coaster will have a cable lift.
knowit
Relax, the tower isn't even complete yet. it will be a chain
coastercrazed49
The station is also coming along. A chain would seem like the way they would go with this coaster. I can't wait to see them finish off the pretzel loop, the top of the first drop, and to see them start the testing.
Ccron10
^ and ^^ Not really. if it was a chain, it would need to have chain dogs. Usually the chain dogs are part of the track when they are molded. But since I don't see any, it has to be a cable lift hill. Also, how would the cars evacuate if there's an E-stop? That spiral staircase is too far under the tower to reach the trains. With a cable lift, if the power shuts off automatically, the trains could be lowered manually.
yankees15
^I could be wrong but I read somewhere that they were going to have two chains next to each other that lift the train. With there being two chains they don't need the anti-rollbacks. Again, this is just what I have read so I could be wrong.
Swimace
Also, how would the cars evacuate if there's an E-stop? That spiral staircase is too far under the tower to reach the trains. I was wondering the same thing, but does it need to be able to evacuate from the lift? Does anybody know how or if Eurofighters are able to evacuate from their vertical lifts?
