TorontoFCfan
Kings Dominion has some construction fences up. So it looks like 2018 for sure has to be our year. We should be able to get something GOOD. So #DropPodSlides2k17?
Dom497
^You mean Kings Island? And lets not say "2018 is definitely our year" because a) we've already said "2016 is definitely our year" and b) the 2016 season hasn't even started!!!! No one knows what the SkyRider plot looks like right now!!!!
BuffaloWingRider
I also disagree with the randomly planned out next five years for Cedar Fair where 2019 is "this park's year" and so on. It's mostly all fun and speculation though so carry on, I think that kind of stuff is fun actually. I just disagree with this particular case of it. Also that's too bad about the capacity on the new ride.

DirkFunk
Are the Platinum Passholder early entry days listed anywhere yet? I'll be in Toronto on May 28th before I get on a flight and was hoping they might be running a few things before official opening.

WonderlandFan
Why would Kings Island get a new coaster if they just got Banshee a couple of years ago.
Password121
Why would Kings Island get a new coaster if they just got Banshee a couple of years ago. Because those two things are entirely unrelated and it's up to Cedar Fair's best discretion (which is better than yours and mine and everyone on this site) what will get them the best return on investment. Â And no, the state of Ohio is not "stealing" Canada's Wonderland's new coasters.

CedarFair1
Went to the park today to get video of testing of Skyhawk and ended up witnessing a video shoot for it, and some construction activity. The field next to Wonderland drive is getting more full of markers, and now the trees along the public street are all marked for removal. There's lots of activity behind the stadium beside Behemoths Helix and beside Minebuster. The bulldozers were back and some mechanics as well today. Lots of markings and weird stuff happening in this field beside Wonderland drive.
Jaynen
My guess is more houses. That would be an awesome backyard.
canadianparkfan
^^More houses, maybe a hotel? Â Will be really interesting to see how the White Water Canyon/Skyrider area has changed. We could end up seeing a coaster that works its way from skyrider's old spot over to Behemoth and back; the flags near wonderland drive could also be to move/change the road in order to accommodate the coaster (however unlikely). Â Does anyone remember flags like this near the bus loop/dragon fire back when leviathan was being built?
Jaynen
Deffinatly not a hotel. Not enough space there and the residents would be pretty mad. I think if we get a new coaster it will pretty much stay in the skyrider plot of land and intertwine with vortex and the water. I could see supports or other stucture beyond the skyrider plot. TorontoFCfan
This is why I am excited for Opening Day even though I won't be going. But I can't wait to see how Skyrider's land looks and see if there are any markers hidden away in White Water Canyon's Forrest. Hopefully we will get pictures from CW fans on this forum if they are going opening day.

pproteinc
How does one snap, is it just going back and forth perfectly to get this range of motion? Â Snapping is caused by the cables slacking due to quick motions of the vehicle...so once you've gotten the hang of operating a scooter it'll be easy to accomplish. It's all in the feel of how the wind is going against the rudder for me.
TorontoFCfan
I just realized parks like Cedar Point, Kings Island, and Kings Dominion all have Live Webcams pointed at their rides which you can always look at to see how they are operating. But Canada's Wonderland doesn't have it. I hope they start adding it to more parks and that they put a live Camera on top of Wonder Mountain pointing at Behemoth, Windseeker/Skyhawk/Slingshot, and Leviathan. Six Flags Haiti
I don't understand why people still believe in these "pattern" theory's. Â Most publicly traded companies have a 10-15 year capital plan, with a budgeted cadence for how the money will come out. Some times these cadences are more frequent, and patterns can appear. Â A good example of this is SEA. Check out page 103 on this file: Â http://s1.q4cdn.com/392447382/files/doc_presentations/2015/2015-11-SEAS_Investor_Day_FINAL-reduced.pdf
Dom497
I was referring to Cedar Fair. Not only is Sea World a different company but they are in a completely different financial situation as well.
