spaceace12
From what I can tell, this is Indiana Beach shoe horning in rides, amazing what they can do in limited space.
mcjaco
That camera angle is pretty horrid. It's almost to the rafters, as Avatar's paint starts to turn orange when it gets to that height. If it's half as good as IB's, it'll be a nice addition. I am a bit concerned, along with the crappyish theming going in, that they're adding too many thrill rides. I thought this park was geared more for families, since that's whose going to be hanging out at the mall anyway.
raptorcrew2002
I once lived about 15 min north of the mall. Figures now they would start getting the fun stuff. Best I got was the Mighty Axe opening when I moved out of MN. Will be interesting to see how the sound levels work when this is all done. I sure hope they also bring back the many trees they had setup in the park, it always added a very comfortable feel to the park.
SharkTums
Was this confirmed somewhere as an S&S Double Shot? It just doesn't look like most Double Shot's I've seen.
Adrenaline_Rush
I think its gonna be like a frogger, but on a more intense scaling.

Diffidently not an S&S. Tower structure is way too small unless S&S came out with a micro version. But this looks nothing like s&s. That tower track looks like the ones you see at a carnival. “gulp” Tower Tack
40belowbeef
^^^^Since when did thrill rides become non-family friendly. My 60 year old mother, 60 year old father, 28 year old brother, 35 year old sister..and 10 year old niece etc.etc, all love roller coasters and thrill rides, and often go to parks together to ride them...as a family. Are family-oriented parks only supposed to build rides for kids 6 and under?
mcjaco
^ So your family may be the exception of the rule. Seriously, how many people that are at MOA are there for a park filled with thrill-ish rides? The longest lines are typically for the kiddie rides. I'm not saying that thrill rides are a bad edition, I just think that they might be shooting for a demographic that may not be already inserted into the premises. Adrenaline_Rush
I think the thrill rides are nice, there trying to attract to more customers out there.
linearinduction
Splat-O-Sphere is a Moser Spring Ride as Evidenced by the "Moser Rides" Tape.
coasterdude5
I thought it was a small Intamin drop tower...

Jerways
Splat-O-Sphere is a Moser Spring Ride as Evidenced by the "Moser Rides" Tape. Yep! Check out: http://www.moserrides.com/ I believe it's the "Family Tower". Check to the right. Above Technical Specifications: Permanent & transportable. There's a zipped vid there as well. http://www.moserrides.com/toprides/famtower20s.jpg I must agree, our version (so far) looks kind of small. We'll see. kraken613
It could be good. We will have to wait and see!
TheRapidsNerd
Hopefully it won't be a huge let-down... A 2. I do not blow up. Any word when they'll start painting Orange Streak and Fairly Odd Coaster? Looks like they're almost if not completely done with Jimmy Neutron. I'm also a bit curious as to the crystal that will go on Tak Attack.
Looty
^They aren't going to paint Fairly Odd Coaster. the colors will remain as is. I'm not sure when Ripsaw will be touched up. The new fiberglass molds for the ripsaw trains are on site and actually look pretty good. Also, I saw numerous slides that suggest that Nickelodeon is not happy with the paint job on the SpongeBob cars. They compare artwork concepts to the actual cars in the parking lot and some of the words used in the report i saw include: "Incorrect", "Lack of", "Inconsistent", "Wrong"...you get the point. So not sure what's going to happen with that. Splat O Sphere is up and I have to say that I'm a little disappointed. It's just not as big as I thought it would be...I'll just have to wait and ride it. Log Chute will be going down in a few weeks and will be closed for approx. 3 weeks while it is torn apart and recreated as Green Slime Falls. holyblakbelt
I thought that they were going to keep the Timberland Twister/ Fairly Odd Coaster the same. Those colors are pretty synonomus with the show and they better not spend more money that they are now.
coasterdude5
I hope they repaint Fairly Odd coaster lime green and pink... aren't those the two main colors of the show? I figured two orange coasters, if they paint Orange Streak orange, might become repetitive. (like this sentence)
kraken613
On the SB webcam it looks like a support for a sign? More work on the drop tower. SEATS!
coasterdude5
Now it looks alot taller! I think the problem is we don't really have any people to compare height to, so everything looks smaller.
kraken613
When will someone get out to take pictures? I wonder how much of SB's starion is done? Its kind of hidden behind all the track. Wonder if the chain was installed also or any other little things that have to be done?
Drop-Out
I'm surprised no one has noticed that the bottom of the swings is missing.

I used the drop tower seats as a guess at the proportion. Stacks pretty tall. The place needs a rapids though...
kraken613
Im really starting to wonder where they will have room to add new things to this park! I hope that drop tower is good too!
