Let me just say, that was the best worst trip ever in my life to the mountain. We started off the day by going to bed at 3am. After waking up at 630 to get ready and get to the park by 1030 we went inside.

First ride was X. We sat in the very front row, left hand side and I was on the outside. I got so incredibly beat up on that godforsaken ride, I died a little inside.

Next ride was Viper. Same painful arrow transitions but still fun nonetheless.

After that, we headed over to see if we could catch Tatsu but decided that waiting 2 hours on a very uncrowded day in the sun was not the smartest idea.

Since it was almost 11, we next headed for the rapids ride and got thoroughly soaked. Literally, there was 4 inches of water in the bottom of the raft ... good times. Next, we went up to the summit to catch Ninja and Superman.

Ninja was a good ride like usual, especially since we walked on. Superman was a near walk on until we were next in line for the ride. We heard the car come in very quickly, hit the brakes and then came the technical difficulties spiel. We decided to wait about 15 minutes and right at 14 minutes they opened the doors and we got on. Fun ride, about 3/4 up the tower.

Ok, so somehow I got conned into riding that dang like freefall drop thing and let me tell you, most bone jarringly painful experience of my life. I loved it!

Next up, we hit Goliath. Awesome and fun and a walk on. (2 trains running) Then Scream. Okay, so somehow my sidekick fell out of my pocket and landed below my seat on the purple section of the carriage and stayed there the entire ride! The rest of my party was screaming OH MY GOD and all these things watching my phone stay glued to the ride.

I should have taken this a sign to keep all my belongings in the bag because after we hit colossus (bone jarring) and then went to Batman. Great and forceful ride, get out and notice that my camera is gone! I'm walking down the exit, look to my left and see it in pieces. Hence, no pictures.

Next, we went on Riddlers and had a blast then we made the horrible decision to ride Deja Vu. The ride was cycling fine for at least 10 trips and then we got on. Strap in, floor drops, and then we start to go up the spike. About half way up we hear a loud bang and the ride stops completely with us vertical. Literally, we're sitting there with nothing happening. We hear the ride ops spiel to the line that the ride is experiencing technical difficulties but they say absolutely nothing to us. Several people on the ride start to cry and freak out but they still say nothing to us. After sitting on the spike for about 30 minutes there is another bang and we lower back to the station and are told to exit. No explanation, no apology. Nothing. Very bad customer service. (Shocker!)

The rest of the night went very smoothly and we were able to hit up Tatsu, Revolution and then Goliath again. The park was very uncrowded and the only coaster that I saw running one train was Goldrusher and that was still a walk on. Overall, it was a lot of fun and I truly enjoyed myself!

(Thanks for those of you who actually read all of this with no pictures!)

Aw, that sucks about your camera. I guess you should have taken the threat on Scream as a premonition. Well it was a nice TR, even with no pictures. Glad you had a good time, minus the camera incident.

I don't get it. How can you not just say sorry for the inconvenience while handing you an exit pass as you leave. I always had tons of exit passes in my pocket to give out to an unhappy or inconveienced guest.

I'm sorry about my camera! And I've lost the same phone on Freefall quite a few times (at SFGAv). At least you got stuck oN Deja Vu!

Ouch about your camera man. Was it a nice one of one of those old POS ones? I nearly lost my phone on X. I could feel it slipping out of my pocket so I had to hold my hand over it for the whole ride. But, I guess I can't complain since I didn't actually loose anything on that ride. They don't have the best system set up for storing loose articles like other rides do. I just leave my loose articles off to the side despite the risk of them being stolen. I lost my sunglasses at SFDK the other day, but that's nowhere near as valuable as a camera.

Sorry your day was so bad. That's too bad about your camera. I never ever take things on rides with me. I always have a backpack and never take important things on rides ever since I had my house keys drop out of my pocket on Silver Bullet the first time I rode it. (Scary thing: Knotts got them out from underneath the Cobra Roll and Sent them back a week later! it was really scary because I thought I would never see them again!)

How rough was X? Im going on tuesday as far as I know and so I want to know how its going to be. (If its just back to Its normal self then its fine.)

^ You'd be surprised.

TopThrill's story is actually decent, as he had it in his pocket (I assume). You see, iPods are no longer an MP3 player but a "fashion accessory". People like to be seen with their white ear phones dangling out of their shirts. Tons of people ride various rides with their iPods actually in their ears or on their shirt, rather than in their pockets.

It confuses me too.

Sorry about your camera, but the park is not responsible for your stuff. I've taken hundreds of trips on theme park rides and have NEVER lost or broken anything on a ride, even the most intense coasters (cargo shorts with big compartments and buttons are a godsend). And I carry an mp3 player, camera, keys, wallet, the kitchen sink with me. But I do know that if they get broken or lost that it's absolutely my fault, and not the park's.

I wasn't listing to it, I was with friends and I did not want to leave it in a hot car so It took it in with me.

I too think its weird to see people ride rides and listen to music at the same time. Some guy that I sat next to on Ghostrider was listing to his MP3 player for the whole ride, how he could have heard anything, I do not Know.

Interesting. I had never even thought of carrying an iPod onto a coaster, but it kind of makes sense when you think about it. That would be pretty cool to add whatever soundtrack you want to the coaster. I mean, it would certainly be more entertaining than listening to the screaming kids all around you...

Of course, there's the whole "losing your iPod or getting the ear buds rammed into your skull by the OTSR's" issue...

Dude my friend actully brought his Ipod on the Mind Eraser at SFA. It was one of the dumbest things he's done at a theme park (and it wasn't the first)

When Space Mountain was in its Rockin' overlay I brought my mp3 player and the old Space Mountain music (Dick Dale and the 2005 version) and listened to them in place of Red Hot Chili Peppers. As long as I held the earbuds tight to my ear it drowned out the ride music perfectly. It was great.

I also take the Space Mountain Paris music on California Screamin' occasionally. It works surprisingly well.

Non-Disney coasters don't fare too well. The ear buds almost always fall out and it's a pain in the butt ot keep them in.

Well, there's your problem. Ear buds are supposed to go in your ears, not down there below the belt!
