MrGeneric Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 The car in this video was held up in the launch tube for a bit, but it's a good video of the ride when it takes off at 2:08.
Théo the little french Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 Thanks for the video! This ride looks good! But all the time we must wait before the launch, it's too much!
dr.gumbo Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 ^^ The title says on youtube "GETTING STUCK ON WICKED" so I guess it was a breif breakdown, however, thanks for the video
coastercrazed49 Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 Nice video that ride looks cool. BTW whoever those kids were in the backround got annoying after waiting for the launch.
Thom25 Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 WOW - thanks for the video - I had not idea the ride was that extensive - looks like one kickin ride! A ride like this would be perfect for Canobie Lake (and closer to me than Utah - arg).
thomas2 Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 I love the fact that this coaster also launches vertical. And that little hill after the tower looks sweet.
asr Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 WOW - thanks for the video - I had not idea the ride was that extensive - looks like one kickin ride! A ride like this would be perfect for Canobie Lake (and closer to me than Utah - arg). I would love a ride like this at Canobie. We could use a launch coaster in New England. Anyway, looks like a cool ride.
Bucket Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 That vertical launch looks insane! Although the ride does seem a little rough towards the end.... I think I heard a few ow's?
ECZenith Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 Oooo, it's actually a bit longer than I thought it it would be! Thanks for providing an onride video.
scottjenkins Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 Jesus, this is a sweet looking ride from Zierer! Didnt think they had the capability to produce something as advanced as that. I thought it looked like a Gerstlauer and got a little excited!!! Oh well anyone have an idea what the cars look like?
GURZU Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 You can putted turn on record more later.. 2 minutes stopped...
MrGeneric Posted June 10, 2007 Author Posted June 10, 2007 Oh well anyone have an idea what the cars look like? The cars look like this: Note the restraints.
ECZenith Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 That's the first photo I've ever seen of Wicked running, could you perhaps point out or post some more photos of the ride in action?
MrGeneric Posted June 10, 2007 Author Posted June 10, 2007 There's a good video of several cars in action here: and there's some pics here (may take forever to load): http://www.lagoonisfun.com/forum/index.php?topic=1771.0
snorkymn Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 The POV made it look kick butt, but the other video made it seem like the ride was kind of slow. Still be fun to try it though!
Airtime&Gravity Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 I really don't know what to think of this ride, but it still seems really fun. I don't get the vertical launch, and it seems so slow. Lagoon should have just put a faster first launch, or at least sped up the second launch since it seems to crawl over the top. The rest of the ride looks fun, and the zero-g roll seems like a great element on this ride.
pianojohn Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 From the YouTube video, it seems to launch trains in rapid succession. Hope they can keep this up!
