coasterdude5 Posted February 19, 2008 Author Posted February 19, 2008 Update Year 55 HERSHEY HAWAII - Hershey roars into its Emerald year with low prices, fresh looks, and looming giants! Hershey's Hawaiian Escape's entry price is being lowered by three dollars in celebration of the park's 55th season! Guests can now purchase the new DryWater pass for only $31 which allows them total access to both parks for an entire day! Season passes will also become cheaper for guests this year along with the debut of the EXPERIENCEHAWAII pass that will allow guests to experience Hershey Hawaii along with some of Hawaii's best beaches. Hershey Hawaii will receive many general improvements this year such as new landscaping, fresh paint, and a brand new top-of-the-line website with a new trip planner! Looming in the distant is Hershey's biggest project to date. Take a careful watch at the park this year as construction begins! I can confirm The Volcanic Resort Hotel has been sold to another company. No word on how this will affect the waterpark. This is sure to be an interesting year for Hershey's Hawaiian Escape! Alot of people are saying Excavation might be on its way out... I doubt it. Everything else has been quiet recently. Waikiki Whizzer is doing nicely with the family-audience. Don't forget about Chaos! It hasn't lost a day of operation yet! The park needs more places like this! Required shot. The sun is always shining here! It's a long way down... Surf is still operating! What's happening!?!? More soon. Looks like Year 56 is gonna be the big one.
kraken613 Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 I wouldn't be mad if Excavation left. I would be more upset if Surf leaves. Looking forward to it no matter what!
brandon Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 I wouldnt be mad if Excavation left. I would be more upset if Surf leaves.Looking forward to it no matter what! I wouldn't be mad either. I sure hope project emerald lives up to its potential.
coasterdude5 Posted February 22, 2008 Author Posted February 22, 2008 Update Year 55 THE YEAR 55 DOWNLOAD WILL BE POSTED TOMORROW I've been out of town for the past few weeks so I've got a huge update! Some folks are saying the park is in some deep crap with this Project Emerald. From what I've heard it's "Turbulence all over again" I've also heard some of the older rides at the park are up for sale including Tantalus. The park could be gearing up for a renewal project that would bring the entire park up-to-date. No word on the total list of rides that will be removed (or refurbished) Apparently Surf is safe for the time being. Which is good because it still draws some of the biggest lines in the park. Stopped by Rainforest Cafe today for a quick lunch. Not too crowded today. The "alleyway" - I wish they'd do something with this area. Zambia Sidewinder More soon! THE YEAR 55 DOWNLOAD WILL BE POSTED TOMORROW
FitchCoaster Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 I swear, everything you do, manages to turn into something epic. Project Emerald seems like it's going to be huge.. can't wait for the big announcement!
coasterdude5 Posted February 22, 2008 Author Posted February 22, 2008 Update Year 55 DOWNLOAD: http://www.coaster101.com/download.htm The last day of the season is always sad... Next year's looking up though! Even if project Emerald is put on hold they still have to add something new or ppople won't return! The park is still bringing in the massive crowds it's almost always had. Even FlyUira has a "line". Yet the park will never be as busy as it was right after Hershey took over. It'll be interesting to see what the park takes out for this rumored "Renewal" project. How will the skyline change? Will we lose any landmarks? Will they keep the struggling Hawaiian theme? I wonder how the locals will accept the change of a new look. One thing is for sure - it is going to be very interesting to see what Hershey does for Hawaii in the coming seasons. More soon. dixiestud15 Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 where do you place the folder to get it into the game?
Steffen_Dk Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 ^Under parks, I think. Coasterdude - it looks really great. And I'm seeing that the Hershey Tower will be removed - am I right?
coasterdude5 Posted February 23, 2008 Author Posted February 23, 2008 Update Year 55 Here are some leftover pictures from the park's Emerald season. Year 55 Overview Sideways! The bridge to Hershey Grove. The Hershey chocolate stand. Leopard from the roof of Rainforest Cafe Waikiki Whizzer, center This area of the park could use a new look. The park could use a playground complex, because this doesn't count.
kraken613 Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Im downloading right now. Cant wait to see what its like inside!
FitchCoaster Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Awesome! I'll download the park later. Maybe I'll post a trip report. I love thing park! I'm amazed you are keeping it going for so long. It's great!
knottslover77 Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Looks great, I agree that area needs a face lift though. --Jay
rckrazy06 Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 You can't do this. This is the Highlight of this forum! To tell you the truth, I rather you quit with Kingdom de Espana then quit this.
dr.gumbo Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 So Project emerald was either an evil trick to get our hopes up then crush them, a new shopping center, a cancelled project or what I hope is a new park entirely. (hint hint)
steel Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Mind at least telling us your plans, evil b*tch?
coasterdude5 Posted February 24, 2008 Author Posted February 24, 2008 ^ I had been planning this for a long time. Originally the park was going to end at Year 50 but I decided to extend it for five years. Project Emerald was only a trick to keep people from thinking the park was nearing its end. (4 years without a new coaster!?!?)
