jackskellington101
^^It's going in Tomorrowland at TDL! Sorry! Well...poopie. ^I personally really enjoy Disneyquest. The closing rumor is a Jim Hill thing and personally, he's a fine writer, but I take some things from there with a grain of salt. It wouldn't shock me if it closed, but I would guess more that it might turn into this new thing. As for a park in the UK, I would like that too, mainly because I'd love to see the battle between Disney and The Tussauds Group.
jackskellington101
Western Way is the location for the next gate for Walt Disney World, but I don't think this one is coming to us just yet... Western Way is getting that value centric Downtown Disney first. At least, that's what the land clearing permit stated. I just hope they put a Steak N Shake in there. Mmmmmmmmmmm... disneyland255
The "test track" Cars ride is supposedly going into DCA where the Timon Parking lot is going to be. I think...It looks GREAT!
dandaman
Though it doesn't look too animal-oriented, the water show is one of many things rumoured to be added to Animal Kingdom. MiceAge showed some major construction just near Kali River Rapids. Don't know about any of the other parts of the annual report.

I just hope they put a Steak N Shake in there. Mmmmmmmmmmm... Well, that is true. But, the land will have much more of a use than just another district of Downtown Disney. I am guessing that the new area will include a Disney Village style area along with a large souvenir store like the one in Tokyo. Other than that, a new TTC, a new waterpark and a 5th gate are all in the works for "Wonder Way" (I mean Western Way!)

JEANYLASER
i hope disney makes a Goofy Ride in Mickey's Toontown Fair. Go to www.wdwmagic.com and see the idea. Oh! I wanted the incredibles show in disney studios too.
jedimaster1227
^There is already a Goofy ride in Toontown. It is called the Barnstormer and for most of us, it is a credit. As for the Incredibles show at MGM, I haven't heard anything at all about this. Where did you hear about it?
Gnome
Yeah, there's a bunch of us debating the Carland versus Toy Story Mania thing now. Is it possible that DCA would get both? We're pretty sure MGM is getting a Toy Story Mania, TDL is getting the Monsters Mania...I'd love it if DCA got Carland instead of ANOTHER version of the Mania idea but I guess time will tell! Highly possible. From my understanding Mania is the first of several stages in the DCA re-habilitation plan. Also I heard rumors of a cars themed ride coming to DCA and utilizing the test track technology. Its also possible that the night time show will go into DCA's lake as Midway Madness construction will be bringing a lot more to the area then just a new ride, or at least thats what things seem to be pointing to. Also, I heard something about Hong Kong getting a PotC based off of the movie, so that could include a whole new pirate themed land as well, though i'm not sure how receptive the Chinese are to the "pirate fad"
jedimaster1227
Isn't it scary how Disney is turning to more Pixar films to "save" its parks... As a Floridian with Test Track, the prospect of a Cars themed ride utilizing the same technology as the World of Motion replacement seems like a bad idea, but I would probably be pretty excited if I didn't live in Florida where I could ride Test Track as many times as I wanted to. As for Midway Mania (now Toy Story Mania), I am both skeptic and curious, as I feel that the ride won't be all that intricate (but I am considered to be a real classic Disney fan because I like Dreamflight more than Buzz Lightyear). The whole light technology that Disney is using with the guns is pretty impressive as I have seen it used in a lower-tech version, and even that was impressive. From a regular visitor's perspective, this new attraction will be a hit, but for the Disney-babies (meaning that I have been living in Orlando and visiting Disney since I was born-not that I am a baby now) like myself, it won't really suprise me. So, as for the new park, I really think this is going to be interesting, as it definitely has the Mermaid Lagoon and a futuristic land similar to Port Discovery. As far as I knew, none of these areas or themes could be replicated due to the tight copyright deal set up between the OLC and Disney when DisneySea was built, but maybe the deal was negotiable, considering that we borrowed Cinderellabration (from Tokyo Disneyland) for the Happiest Celebration on Earth... Wes
^ You have to realize that just because someone at Imagineering made some concept art, that's about a million miles removed from any sort of concrete plans. That painting is probably more "wishful thinking" than anything else at this juncture.

jedimaster1227
^I'm sorry about that one! I didn't know that you worked for Disney... thats what NDAs are for I guess... But you are right about the whole concept art deal, just look at great examples like WestCot, Disney's America and DisneyQuest Philadelphia... Is that meant to imply something or is that an accusation? I don't claim any information for myself thank you... Sorry, but I actually do know imagineers, as thats what happens when your father worked on the EPCOT Center opening day story for one of the news stations, plus I know people in Disney Marketing... I don't want to make this out to be a battle, because I don't feel any hostility, but I don't know if you were being serious or not... Plus, Miceage reported two weeks after I did... TheStig
So besides these Imagineer friends, do you have any REAL friends, like your age, you know, KIDS?!? Im being serious.
jedimaster1227
^Yes. I do actually! As I am still in High School, I hang out with friends during the week and on the weekend, so the answer is yes- but just in case you were wondering, they all like to go to the parks too. So... about something that they didn't mention yet, but does anyone think that Disneyland is going to keep Rockin' Space Mountain as a night mode as it was originally planned for Rockit Mountain? Wow, you're Dad covered the opening of EPCOT Center 25 years ago. Bet those contacts are real good, especially ones that have been off a project that ended pretty much 23 years ago. Not too mention Imagineers and marketing people don't exactly run around telling everyone what's up. Did your cousin write a letter telling Disney Imagineers that they should bring Figment back too? Meh....
