SharkTums Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Ok, so after looking at the 'what bands need to go away thread', and then signing on to AOL and seeing the new Backstreet Boys video...I have some thoughts! - Ok, same old backstreet boys, nice video, decent love song. - What the hell happend that the old 'heart throbs' (Brian, Nick, AJ) look terrible...and Kevin and Howie look awesome! Scary what a few years can do! - How come they're the backstreet boys, yet only two of them sing in this song!? Elissa "ok, I'm done being a dorky girl now!" Alvey

MagnumForce Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Somethings just aren't meant to comeback. It's like a case of genital warts or something.
Angry_Gumball Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 2 words: Oh and No! I don't really care for boybands and never cared for Backstreet boys. Atleast it gives preteen girls and boys something to listen to if they are limited on what they can listen to...
M_Force_4_ever Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 when bridging the gap between 5th grade and highschool there comes a time when people become un-human and start to like whatever the media can throw at them, Backstreet Boys are one of these things. how long will this last?
Homer Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Oh great, boy bands coming back? I'll be blaring classic rock because; Classic Rock > Boy Bands Its a time warp back to the year 2000, I swear...
FlyingScooter Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, anything but the return of the BoyBands!!!! That's it, Disco's next.... Return of the BEEGEES, Donna summer, and the worst of the worst: Kiss-co (i was made for lovin' you...)
BiCoastal Kid Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 I wonder how long till the one becomes alcoholic again...
Wes Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 As much as I don't really care, at least the Backstreet Boys don't try to play themselves off as something they're not, unlike a lot of mallpunk bands. wes (does a mean version of "I Want It That Way")
SharkTums Posted April 26, 2005 Author Posted April 26, 2005 ^I expect to hear this version at our BBQ! Elissa "video camera is ready" Alvey
Kroger8 Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Oh great! They're back, but I don't think it will last long. Is it just me or is rap starting to "go out"? It seems that there are less and less rap songs on the radio everyday. Daniel "I'm not complaining" Gravely
alpengeistdude321 Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 I think pop is coming back in all. Rob Thomas from Matchbox 20 went solo and has a full pop album (his single is awful).
Coasterlicious Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Now that Britney Spears is "out of order" I guess record companys needed a quick pop comeback... :o
Sir Clinksalot Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Smart move on their part IMO. Remember, there is a whole group of 13 year old girls just waiting to go crazy all over the backside ... er ... backstreet boys again. Since Britney's a bigger ho than Christina at this point, I think it's a good thing. Gregg "Will probably have to take our daughter to at least one teenie-bopper concert in my lifetime" C.
Meteornotes Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 This seems like an odd marketing move, as usually pop acts like this are not recycled for the next generation by the record company, since they're considered "old" by the new generation. And it's far too soon for a reunion tour, as they haven't been away that long. I guess someone at a record company is really desperate for a hit record... dt
SharkTums Posted April 27, 2005 Author Posted April 27, 2005 ^Hmmm...maybe I'll pick up the new CD for our long drives in Europe! Elissa "dave would kill me!" Alvey
Meteornotes Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 ^You can play that if I get equal time to play a CD from my collection... Dave "hope you're in the mood for some Dark Tranquility" Thomas
