I have no idea why... but there ARE immelmans on inverts, which has me asking the same question. A dive loop would be great on an invert.

It's kind of the opposite for sitdown B&Ms. While ther may be only immelmans on inverts, there are pretty much only dive loops on sitdowns. There is one exception however, which is Dæmonen at Tivoli Gardens. This floorless has an immelman. As far as I know, that is it. I'm not sure why, but that is how B&M works.

Just for reference, people should know that dive loops are essentially the same thing as immelmans, execept they are traveled through in reverse direction.

Edit: Turns out another immelman on a sitdown is on Wildfire at Silver Dollar City.

Havent we already discussed this? I remember seeing this a few months ago, I did a search but couldent find it. Anywho I agree with the Top Gun and Montu dive loop refrences. They are both a variation of the dive loop, although Montu's is apparently tighter then Top Gun's is.

Well I'm mainly talking about a dive loop on it's own, not nessesarily with other's directly following it to create a different element

Well since there isn't one made yet I guess you are just going to have to settle for the ones that have been said. They are right. According to RCDB they are dive loops going into an immelmann which forms a Batwing!

Batwing - formed by the exit of an Dive Loop going directly into a Immelmann.

So Technically it is a dive loop!

A cobra roll is an immelman followed by a dive loop. There is just a really huge height difference between the entrance and exit of the elments.
