Six Flags Enthuseast Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Make the transition from going up to going more than vertical a bit more gradual. This helps keep the last from whipping as it begins to go down.
coasterlover420 Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Many options!  1. Slow your lift 2. Make your train 3 cars instead of 4 3. "elongate" the drop, don't be at 45 then suddenly be at 95, make it smooth and [labored], if you will 4. Make the radius of the track smaller at the top of the lift in order to make the radius at the point of inflection greater. 5. make the coaster taller 6. add brakes (which would be kind of a dumb idea) 7. don't have a more than vertical drop  Hope this helps
Steffen_Dk Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 I have a little problem with getting NL to work with Vista. Â The installation goes perfectly, and the simulator works as it's supposed to, but every time I open the editor, I get a totally white screen - I can't see anything, which is rather annoying..
rckrazy06 Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 I started a new Intamin looper yerster day and I'm making it have a vertical lift(like fahrenheit). How can I find out what the angle of the track is?
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Umm, a vertical lift isn't hard to make. Its VERTICAL. Like a wall dude.
coasterlover420 Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Even though you would be making a vertical lift, which would be 90 degrees, read back a few pages into this thread and you will find your answer.
angryemobeaver Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Im currently making a Gravity Group Hybrid coaster similar to Voyage and Hades. I do know how to make the supports be steel but look wooden. And to make it look realistic, i change to color of the supports to a silverish color. But that also changes the color of the catwalks and railings. How can i just have the supports silver and the rest a brownish color? Â EDIT: Nevermind, i figured it out!
Speeddeamon128 Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 How do you record videos using the NL game?
hyyyper Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 ^I didn't know you had NL, but you use NUMPAD 0 to start/stop the recording.
Kennyweird Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 For all the tool-builders out there: Â How can I make a nice, realistic B&M cobra roll without using FVD's? I've already tried a few methods, and they either sucked or, due to some strange entry radius to height proportionality issue, came out too big.
Speeddeamon128 Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 ^I didn't know you had NL, but you use NUMPAD 0 to start/stop the recording. Â Thanks Bas! I just got the game
DBru Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 I'm trying to AHG a twisted wooden coaster that also contains many large airtime hills. How should I color the track so that those hills aren't turned into zero-G rolls?
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Just color the track that you don't want the AHG to effect black.
hyyyper Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 ^^also make sure to use red and green section before and after the black to ensure a smooth transition from AHG-banking to forced banking
DBru Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Thanks guys that really helped on the large camelbacks! Â But now, when I AHG the woodie, the main twisted section's heartline looks very sharp and awkward (as seen below), and one of the twisted airtime-hills is turned into a corkscrew (I colored this segment black, with a red segment leading into it, and a green segment leading out). Â How do I fix these problems? Very strange transitions...and a corkscrew. :-\
hyyyper Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Might be a stupid question but did you tick the box "individual track color"?
coasterlover420 Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 If you're trying to make the coaster smoother, you can lower the filter value  To fix the rolls, color the track red going in and green going out
DBru Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 ^You mean raise it? Â Oh, I fixed it! Thanks for the help!
Coasterbrake Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 I search for the NoLimits Trackpager But i can't find it Do anyone now were i can find al download?
Kennyweird Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 ^ Here: www.coastercrazy.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=16602
DBru Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 A few more AHG questions... Â -What is the standard heartline for an X-car coaster? Â -How do I make sure the banking on the first/last segment of track is 0*? (I color it black, but the track still banks...GRR)
Xpress Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 ^Generally, to get the bankings to be at zero, you have to use a higher precision, say 15-20 if your track has smooth transitions. AHG doesn't like to use over 16 though, so set this last. Also, with the increase in precision, you need to increase the filter. ~450 will be fine. Â The X-car has a heartline of 1.3, same as the floorless.
DBru Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 ^How do you change the precision/filter for a specific element?
