jarmor Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 I recently purchased a house, a pretty "cozy" home and I have be able to use my innovative mind to make the best use of my limited amount of space. So I sat down one day and made some blue prints for a closet unit that will let me use as much space the closet has to offer while not making it look too cluttered. The other thing I had to do was come up w/ a design and use less material as possible which in turn would cut the cost of the project! The option for a dresser and things like that were out because I dont like a room too crowded. I also had another obstacle, the air ventilation thingy is also located in the closet so I had to work around that and make it accessible if need be so lets go on the journey! Another angle looking at my "swanky" brand new wardrobing area! not only do I have space but an awesome view! Finally finished WITH room to spare! Ahh...almost there... To the workshop! Another shelf for my long pants appeared out of no where! Im getting the swing of things now... Up and up and up... Back to the "work shop" to add more pieces! Getting an idea of how its gonna look... First couple pieces...this is fun because im building w/ no prefab parts! For the next couple of hours the living roon is turned into my workshop! This is what I have to work with...I have to make a unit efficent enough to hold all of my clothes!
Wes Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Hand lotion sighting! That actually does look nice though. I'm gonna have to do something like that whenever I move into a new apartment. "Hand" Lotion
kennywood!007 Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 ^LMAO Looks awesome. Lots of room. I need shelves in my closet. So I can get rid of my huge stupid dresser!
niiicolaaah Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Wes, at least his lotion is in the closet, and not right out next to his bed. Awesome closet! I have put a bunch of organizers in my closet, but they're all pre-made... I am so lame. Nice work! *edit* and WOW you have lots of clothes! lol
TheStig Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Nice closet man, I wish I could even get into mine! All I use is a combonation of two laundry hampers in my room and the top of the dryer, oh yeah thats livin! Colin C
jarmor Posted August 17, 2006 Author Posted August 17, 2006 hey wes the lotion is strictly for the body and not "the" body part lol, im more advance than lotion lol . I forgot to mention that all the material cost like 80.00 dollars! Jarvis "about to go into the shelfing business" Morant!
CoasterExpert13 Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Nice closet you have there! I have a walk-in, but among my clothes, its filled with coaster things and old game systems...so sometimes I can't just walk in...might step on something sharp lol.
ScOtT k Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I just throw stuff in my drawer after doing the laundry. lol. You have lots of clothes.
waterviper Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Wow Jarvis you should go into the shelfing business!! Thats pretty damn cool that you cut and shaped that all on your own!! I would be too lazy to even come close to doing that. I would be just like Nicole and buy premade!! Also dude, it looks like you got an outfit for every day of the year in there!!
Calvin Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 That's really amazing. You should apply to IKEA and design the Bjurstakanurgur.
bgwfreak Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 IKEA ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Cool setup Jarvis. I'm not that talented around the house. I used cardboard boxes so that I could stack stuff on the top of those wire shelves the house comes with. lol But noone knows the difference.
imaki Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Very nice! I recommend spending a few extra bucks on white silicone caulk and filling the joints. You will be surprised and how much better it will look!
pvcoasterguy Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Wow, that looks really nice! Great job on that!
Jumboshrmp Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Here's my closet. Isn't it so neat and tidy?
FlyingScooter Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Nice work. It's given me a few ideas. Where's the bowling balls? A closet isn't a closet without bowling balls. (jk)
