TheKlockster Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Ok so apparently were getting two new B&M coasters next year. Busch Gardens Europe is getting a blue Dive machine from the looks of that teaser animation. And there is track up there in the back (unpainted) that may be dive machine track. Then SOMEONE else is getting some other kind of B&M. It will be white with the top portion of the spine painted a dark color - probably blue. I'll let the picture speak for itself. This was taken from the road - pointed at an open door with a 300mm telephoto lens.
DarkStitch626 Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Well looking extremly close theres 1 huge piece in the middle of all that with like a 4ft tall spine!. It does look blue IMO. Does anyone think the track will be sand filled , other wise the ends would be capped off already?
BlueStreak64 Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Actually, I would say that those pieces aren't yet painted. It is very hard to tell, but that is what it looks like to me. It looks like one solid color.
TheKlockster Posted August 15, 2006 Author Posted August 15, 2006 They are painted. Unpainted track is a rusty color - see the Griffon topic. BGEs new coaster will be dark blue track with bluish supports. This one is white track, white supports, and the top of the spine is painted blue. It sort of reminds me of Raptors paint job - but white and blue instead of green and darker green. Edit! Ah I see it now! That tall track is the diver track. Its just at an odd angle. Look at how the track in the foreground is white and the track in the background - the big track is dark blue!
Golfie Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 My dad is turning an old tannery into condo buildings. He got off the phone with B&M last night from them telling him that the first few track pieces should arrive next week... Just kidding... he does have condos, though. And we might get an intamin monorail for it! It looks to me like Inverted track - think about it. When there are motor driven tires, B&M makes the spines on that section of track taller to enclose the motor. The paint looks like primer. Otherwise, it would be an ugly semi-rusty colored hunk of metal track. Andrew "I WANT A MONORAIL!" C.
steel Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Valleyfairs new ride maybe? No. I will give you a cookie if that track is actually for Valleyfair!.
DarkStitch626 Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Well the track does not enclose the feeder wheel motors. The wheel motors are on the outside of normal size track for easy access when the motor burns out . I use to work on batman and saw it every day.
SLUSHIE Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 The thicker spine is just used for longer sections of track without supports. http://www.rcdb.com/ig3290.htm?picture=27 Track it was to narrow to be a dive machine.
HOYS Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 From what I've seen with Patriot, and the Happy Vally B&M track, they usually build all the standard track first (no wheel mounts) then build the special peices.
TheKlockster Posted August 15, 2006 Author Posted August 15, 2006 Yeah that's right. The brake run pieces are very distinct. I have seen some. All in all - probably only 5% of the Patriot was actually kept outside. What I got the label off of - that confirmed the Patriot rumor - was a piece of transfer track supports.
Thrillrider15 Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Well to me, I can't really see the outline of a track very well (maybe not at all). But what could this track become of?
Richard Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 as said before, on hypers, the track gets larger when theres more force/speed, something to do with smoothness or something. Theres a better example here at the bottom of Silver Star's first drop. no idea what coaster it's going to though.
MSLSM Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 It could be Universal Japan's juinor hyper, but then again, it could be an unannounced ride.
BeemerBoy Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 It's Hard Rock Park's first beemer. It will be the very first thing constucted on-site. Project engineers have stated that it'll look funny being the only thing standing, but they wanted to get to work early on it to prevent a 150-page thread of speculation on TPR.
stormrider Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Are they getting one? I never heard of that. I heard of the Hard Rock park, hopefully it's not a "mild" park. Also, I think the track gets thicker so that when it goes over a road and is unsupported, it doesn't bend/get torn apart. Edit: Ah, okay, I just found a pic of the park. You know that Dubai park? If the rides were exactly what the models looked like, it would be hard to figure who made them . . . It looks like a B&M mega coaster though, so that could be why the track is different thickness maybe.http://www.themeparkinsider.com/reviews/hard_rock_park/ I guess Tatsu/Patriot/Goliath/Goliath showed that Clermont Steel could juggle between multiple projects.
DarkStitch626 Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Looking on Screamscape for the HardRock park's concept arts it shows 2 B&M coasters for advertising. One is Kraken, another in concept shows a B&M Speed coaster train.
ParkTrips Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Just remember that concept art is just that... promotional visuals of a concept!! To most people, track is just track. Remember Sheikra's Arrow Dynamics track in its artwork and t-shirts??
BeemerBoy Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Wow, the bait was taken pretty quick on that one. I only hope my offshore fishing trip in october goes as well as that did.
stormrider Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 I remember that on Silver Bullet tshirts, not only was it red inverted vekoma track, but it was a recolored version of DeJaVu! I wondered what was going on in their minds, first they have to render Magic Mountain's ride, then recolor it. WTF?
ECZenith Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 I don't believe it's confirmed yet that Universal Osaka is getting a B&M.
DarkStitch626 Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 I remember that on Silver Bullet tshirts, not only was it red inverted vekoma track, but it was a recolored version of DeJaVu! The inverted overbanks on it are vekoma track LOL!.. Ok well back on topic please lol.
steel Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Patriot's first t-shirts had clear pictures of WoF's Boomerang on them. http://www.cfmarketplaces.com/acb/stores/3/Patriot-Blue-Patriot-Tee-P65C0.aspx?UserID=395914&SessionID=29
