goleafsgo Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 my favorite would have to be jurrasic park, cos its just like, nothings happenening, and then theres like 100000 dinosaurs, and then the musics all like.. dun da, dun daaa, dun daa da daa da daaaaaaaaa. (you know)
sfmmFREAK Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 i like the music in the mummy and the mummy returns, but if you mean music that i would actually listen to other than while watching the movie, i would say the american pie series.
clarkerm Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 The music in Donnie Darko is perfect for the film IMO.
ScOtT k Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 Music in "Life is beautiful" I think it even won an award for best soundtrack.
obeygiant Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 I really love the Jurassic Park and Back to the Future scores.. I could just listen to them all day.
Bonkers Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 I'm surprised no one has yet said "Star Wars". One of the most classic and awesome orchestrations in a movie. Ever. *SPOILERS?* Then again, the organ at the end of Monty Python and the Holy Grail is addicting...and annoying...
obeygiant Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 I'm surprised no one has yet said "Star Wars". One of the most classic and awesome orchestrations in a movie. Ever. Yeah I forgot Star Wars...possibly the greatest score of all time...next to LOST
Bonkers Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 I'm surprised no one has yet said "Star Wars". One of the most classic and awesome orchestrations in a movie. Ever. Yeah I forgot Star Wars...possibly the greatest score of all time...next to LOST Ay, you're right...Lost be pretty good...the only "must-see" TV that I really watch... Eh, I also think the score from West Side Story be good, too...
Rollerholden Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Lilo and Stitch has good music too haha. And I think it was Saw that I though had some good music. Most horror / slashers do.
DATman Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Let's see: Harry Potter Narnia Lord of the Rings Titanic Pirates Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Rent (musical is better, but this is about movies) Indy Nightmare Before Christmas (I really like movies that create original music, and don't use pop bands n' such)
Jon Sabo Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 I would just simply add ANY of John Williams works since he composed most of the music scores listed in this thread. But the Star Wars saga (all of them) and the JP movies as well as the Indiana Jones movie trilogy stand out in my mind. Jaws is certainly a classic also. One of my all time favs: SW-Empire Strikes Back: The Imperial March (Darth Vader theme). Simply awesome sound score. Now, you even hear it at band-sporting events, etc.
Jon Sabo Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 ^Didn't one of the band members pass away recently?
lapseofreason Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 ^Didn't one of the band members pass away recently? Yeah, Syd Barrett (who helped start the band in the 60's) died about a week ago.
TheLastGunslinger Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 I love the music in Serenity, it has such a unique sound for a film soundtrack.
SuperGreek1562 Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Harry Potter and Nightmare Before Christmas. During Halloween time me and my friend pop in the soundtrack like the whole month of October! gets me in the Halloween mood.
BelizeIt Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 A movie where the music flows perfectly throughout the film was Pulp Fiction.
Luxo Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 A Clockwork Orange has one of my favorite soundtracks. Honorable Mentions: The Godfather Star Wars Indiana Jones Pirates Finding Nemo
