b2theobby7 Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 I have to pick to either go to Six Flags Over Georgia, Kentucky Kingdom, or St. Louis next week. Which one is the best?
BeemerBoy Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 SFOG. End of discussion. And you can stop by Lake Winnie on the way.
jarmor Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Yeah SFoG is def the place you should go...two words "Good" Goliath!
Electerik Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Yeah SFoG is def the place you should go...two words "Good" Goliath! Yeah, I agree with the choice of Six Flags Over Georgia. But help me out here: Where are the "ungood" Goliath's? Because the ones in Holland and LaRonde look pretty cool, and SFMM's is in my personal Top 10.
jarmor Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 ^ What i mean about "good" goliath is that from what I read about sfmm goliath is that after the brake run the ride is basically over... Also since SFMM and SFoG golaiths' have the same color scheme in order to seperate them I say "good" goliath!
Erik Johnson Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Yes, go to Six Flags over Georgia. It is a great park though you will probably need to get a Flash Pass...worth every penny.
lapseofreason Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 ^ What i mean about "good" goliath is that from what I read about sfmm goliath is that after the brake run the ride is basically over... I beg to differ... your statement is not true, especially if you haven't ridden it. SFMM Goliath's helix is one of the most intense parts of the ride IMHO, and it's AFTER the mid-course brake run!
jamesdillaman Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Lack of good airtime is basically what seperates the two, and yes, you should definitely go to SFOG, and not EVER think about going to SFKK instead. Goliath at SFOG is incredible. and yes I've been on SFMM's, also, and it's a great ride, but SFOG is definitely the better of the two. -James "who thinks YOU also shouldn't judge if you haven't been on both" Dillaman
SharkTums Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 SFoG My Goliath Rankings: Good Goliath - Walibi World Goliath - SFoG Bad Goliath - SFMM French Canadian Goliath - La Ronde Don't forget, we totally invented the 'good goliath' term in 2002! Don't misuse it!

I trust the majority factor and the majority of people say that goliath in SFMM trails behind goliath in SFoG. Jarvis "still gonna judge regardless if I have ridden it or not" Morant
robbalvey Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 ^ I think people are just blowing out of proportion a joke we made in 2002. We've always had our personal "good" and "bad" versions of rides. "Good Tower", "Bad Tower", "Good Goliath", "Bad Goliath", etc... They were our nicknames we came up with those those rides. If you want to use them in context, GREAT, otherwise it's just another way for us to express our opinions of rides while adding a bit of humor factor to it, that's all. --Robb "In TPR land Good Goliath is Walibi World's Goliath....'nuff said!" ParkTrips Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Kentucky Kingdom. Why? OMG they have cheaper parking.
ECZenith Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Goliath at SFMM is the only one I've been on, and after the midcourse brakes I nearly BLACKED out! Something that doesn't have too often for me-definately not a lame ending.
