This device is not for detecting prostrate cancer, nor is it even used in humans.
-
I thought someone might guess that..lol... It has nothing to do with temperature but it is a probe of sorts and not for any human orifices.

Chroniq replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Dislclaimer- I'm drunk, so this comment may or may not be worthwhile. All of the liters to ounces conversion math was incorrect.. Though I'm not sure what the correct math was as I'm suprised I'm able to type to type this. Chris "Was inspired to get black out drunk by this threa" ummm, Connolly. -

Awesome Trip Report Divv. It's cool how even in small groups you are on the ground in the group photo. I'm also happy to see that Oakwood repainted their entrance to match the Intimidatour shirts. Chris "Though this report could use a little more alcohol" Connolly -

It is funny, don't get me wrong and I've heard stories from other TPR members of Peirs incredible "Shot" combinations (which is really funny).. Maybe I'm just in stange mood.. For all those l33t haxor TPR members out there.. Watch the shot count while Peirs shoots. It definitely skips some numbers..... -

Devils Advocate here - This was a funny video, but I expected more with the build up it has gotten.... The choice of blue was well played though... After watching this I'm patiently waiting for Tyler to make another video with EVE. Best Beastie Boys plug EVAR! sorry got a little too excited over that, I'm just a mild fan of my 3 MC's Great trip report, I need a beer. Seconded-And its from Pauls Boutique (the best album in the history of the universe). Chris"..the best in men's clothing. Call Paul's Boutique and ask for Janice and the number is (718) 498-1043. Do you have an iPad?
Chroniq replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The software that is the backbone of this forum is one of only two viable choices for forum software. They are constantly adding new features and capability because of the market competition. I suspect that will HTML 5 will be an option with in 12-24 months based on some things I read on another forum. The same goes with flowplayer. @ SixFlagsEnthuseast- Watch the difference in voting next year if this poll is held again. This is presumptuous, but I'm sure the majority that voted no haven't even used an Ipad or Tablet. Chris "FTC Disclosure: I was not furnished with any apple stock for posting this, but should have been" Connolly -
TPR T-Shirt Garage Sale!!!
Chroniq replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I really need to create a major site like TPR....... All my yard sales suck compared to this. I think we made 60 bucks at our last one (and that included the sale of my "extra kidney") -

Just because I own 3000 ipads doesn't make this post bias at all. /disclaimer If you are reading this post then you must have some affinity to technology (tpr is a website!). Before you pass judgement on the iPad or any tablet pc (running android/os2 warp/dos 4.0/ or even pancake mix) I recommend you try it first. Trust me, the sum is greater than it parts when it comes to tablets. Chris " posted from my litebright" Connolly. Damn I sound nerdy, -

Mike Austin. Why would you want to ban girls from tpr trips? Are you afraid of them? Trust me... They can be more fun than roller coasters. -

...This message brought to you by the Department of Intelligent Cruise Knowledge or DICK for short.... That video was pretty incredible and entertaining. In the interest of getting more people to cruise, I'd like to share these facts... The ship in this video is 23 years old and was decommisioned from the American market a number of years ago.. Its about half the size of an "average cruise ship" and a third of the size of the newest and biggest ships. It doesn't have modern stabilizers and pods....This type of ship is the 8-track of the cruise industry... So, to make a long story short, this will not happen to you if you ever go on a cruise on a modern ship (or you can pm me for a full refund). Chris "But it's still an awesome effing video" Connolly

From the Top.... Jim Reid-Anderson -- Current CEO of SIX---Is known in the corporate world as a business turn around artist. Subtracting his six month tenure at Apollo (a buy-out company with holdings in theme parks like Universal and Legoland and who also recently attempted to buy Cedar Fair) his main experience is with large companies that sell directly to other businesses. Business to Business corps flourish with tight fisted CEO's. If we've learned one thing about theme park companies, they need a big dreamer with business accumine to be a success. His recent move of hiring former Siemens execs (his former company) is disconcerting.

I'm sure others have followed the SF bankruptcy/restructuring/firing/hiring saga. I've seen these issues frequently discussed in park specific threads, but felt, given the recent events, that it deserved its own thread. To an uniformed outsider (me), it appears that Six Flags is going back to it's pre-shapiro-redzone era. The last management regime believed in taking these regional parks and adding theming, branding and intellectual property (+Terminator, -Ad Wraps on Coasters). The current management team appears to be in dissaray and is having trouble with such mundane things as fact checking press releases (SFOG I'm looking at you). Yes the new team hasn't had a huge amount of time to implement any significant changes, but the changes I've seen so far have not been particularly postive. So here is a thread to discuss this more intelligently than I've started to. Thoughts? Chris "seriously did a search for an existing post this time" Connolly

During our last rollercoaster trip I had a few (many) late nights involving adult beverages and early mornings involving rollercoasters. As most of you know, you can buy dramamine or other motion sickness pills at the parks. This worked well for me except it caused drowsiness. Combining motion sickness pills with energy drinks smoothed things out well for me. I'm still hoping someone posts pictures of me looking particularly green during morning ERT though. The patches seemed to work well for other people. I read on a website that TPR is planning on releasing their own branded motion sickness pills in the future.. C "Fingers Crossed" C
