  1. I'm assuming Robb would have to buy his own card printer as well, so when new members join he can print cards in real time. So outsourcing to a company with high end card printers is probably out of the question.. Again, I'm just speculating..
  2. @Hercules .That answers that..It's kind of cool that there are experts in all fields on this board.
  3. Hey N7, Do you have experience designing cards? It just looks really cohesive and awesome. Is this printable even with the small black on black theme park review in the background?
  4. N7's entry is really pro..My concern would be can they really be printed at that fidelity and come out clear. Also the designs keep getting busier and busier
  5. This is by no means an entry, but after looking at Almerestars post this variation of his layout was more appealing to me and takes up more area of the card while still looking clean. Also I would have taken the "yellow club stamp and just posted it directly above tpr parallel yet microsoft paint doesn't let you rotate like that. Anyways, hope you don't mind I messed with your image.
  6. With 23 posts, I'm the posterchild of lightly involved. As you said the only divide that would exist is in someone's own head.
  7. To give everyone a little background regarding SIX. They are going through a bankruptcy reorganization due to outstandling long term debt. We are talking billions here. People say they have a tough time internalizing what a billion dollars is.... Let me make it easier for you. 1 Billion Dollars is between 40 and 50 Intamin Giga-Lites. Oh I fogot to mention this, Six flags, before reorganization, was in about 2.5B in debt. For everyone playing at home thats between 100 and 125 E-Ticket Class rides. That being said, you can understand why you aren't getting a Kingda Ka at your local park this year.
  8. 1. What are your initial thoughts? Over the course of the past 6 or 7 (?) years TPR has become one of the definitive sites for theme/amusement parks. Think about it; When most of us want to get our coaster fix we visit TPR, Screamscape, Westcoaster for the great photos, and maybe an insider Disney site if thats your thing. When was the last time you visited an ACE site for bleeding edge news about a new attraction or a trip report about a park off the beaten path? The conent on this site is unmatched anywhere on the internet. In this sense including a club or a premium membership is the only step TPR can take to cement itself as the premier destination for anything amusement related. The relationships that they have established with these parks ( I don't have to elaborate you all already know) are stronger than anything we've seen before in this industry. I commend them for taking this to the next level and anyone concerned about cliques/eliteness/or levels probably just had a bad experience in high school. I look forward to reading this post again in ten years when TPR has replaced ACE as the defacto club/site/destination for all things theme and amusement park related. 2. Can you think of anything else we could be offering? The current plans offer exclusive content, once in a lifetime experiences, discounts on theme parks all over the world, as well as a foot in the door on TPR trips. It's hard for me to understand why posters who are much more prolific in posting have doubts about the value of this. TPR can remain stagnant or move on the next level. Do you really want to hold one of your favorite websites down?
  9. For what it's worth, Seuss Landing was repainted in 2006 after becoming incredibly faded. I only know this do to the pictures my wife framed of our first trip and the updates we saw following our trip. Someone mentioned on another forum that the former nbc/universal received TAARP money for minor refurb capital projects, though even as I type this that sounds like BS.
  10. I just got off the phone with coasterboy. He wanted to let everyone know that he would be happy to respond to all your comments, but unfortunately his mom has a phobia of TPR..... Chris "Calling Her Shrink" Con
  11. Enjoyed the show.. I have to learn to not talk over people......Seriously, coasterboy is podcast gold.. You should do a a show with him Rob each week..... Chris "Whats your opinion on Wheat Thins?" Con
  12. Yeah Kristin is only 26.. so she was after the CI/CT tests which is another test as you probably know..... I don't know much about the whole thing except what I'm told. We are checking out your TR now.. Everyone else.. sorry for the off topic stuff.
  13. Wings Correct Answer.... http://www.hudsonstaphouse.com/ ....... Sorry... Anyone want to take a shot at my two photos? .............One day some of the kids from the neighborhood carried my mother's groceries all the way home. You know why? It was outta respect......
  14. Aslintepreter... My wife is NIC Master.. Unfortunately only you and I know what that means.. We were going to sign clues thats we made up (sorry) to you but we couldn't find our webcam. Edit.. you should be watching amazing race. Random Guess -- Wings--- Earl's
  15. For some reason the arrivals aren't showing correct daylight savings time... YEG to MSP to LAX... I'm going with WES (the guy, not the airport)... I'm happy to reveal the final secret... KidTums is already at Thorpe Park testing Saw...
  16. Since no one cares where we are, I've decided to post my psuedo trip report (read; at my house). Mods feel free to delete... Note: Many clues to the next location of The Alveys are hidden in these photos. [/img] Or Perhaps Here (Spoiler Alert: On random WDW Bus with Kristin doing Trump Lips) We wish we were here... This is a photo of the exact location in the park the yellow B&M track is going to placed. You heard it hear first. And pointing at this ( we see you autobots!) But unfortunately we are bored, freezing, looking at this. Thanks for the inspiration!
  17. X2coasterfreak. I enjoy being wrong as much as I enjoy being right. I agree with your post. Rob told me they had another destination, which I won't divulge. I told him though, that I believed they were just going home.. For this one reason... KidTums is not with them ( at least that's what they want us to believe). So that would make it a short trip... Another thought about 23.. MOA had two credits.. and Galaxyland had 3. Since I didn't get any takers on my last post.. I'm west of this. (if you know where to look that picture is easy)
  18. Well Played.... It's sister hotel isn't as great. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24518 For anyone with some time to kill, click Mr. Starr's link and view they multiple theme rooms... Also, not trying to highjack the thread, but anyone know where the picture I posted is located?
  19. Regarding the hotel.. Since I've been told they checked out.. I'll say it shares it's name with the world'z worst theme park.
  20. Rob mentioned they are heading somewhere next..... If he was telling the truth the location is posted on this thread somewhere... I won't reveal it though in case there will be a third part to this. For anyone who cares how I wasted 4 hours of my life figuring this out... I hadn't read the thread until MAll of America and Terminal 2 Were revealed. So by working backwards I found the only carrier that left terminal 2 out of LAX and flew to MSP in the morning was Northwest. I read the clue Wes posted about "Work towards the "23", don't work from it." . For all you non-thread reading readers (sic), Wes figured out one of the previous "Where in the world threads" using stuff like jpg meta data and thumbnail previews. He knows his stuff.. His clue was very helpful... I took the clue to mean that it wasn't the previous flight they were on or it wasn't the first numbers in the flight (the "from" part). It had to be the following flight and possibly the last digits of the flight. Parktrips had mentioned Edmonton around page 13 so when I saw a flight that had a long enough layover for MOA and also was the same airline with a destination that someone had mentioned, I felt like I had it. A quick trip the park index part of TPR showed lots of galaxyland photos that matched the enjoy "image" in style. CTU Agent posted the Wikipedia thing about how the candy bars are occasionally imported to the US and Canada. So I searched the West Emdonton Mall's website for any stores that would import candy. "London Drug" came up. I could still be wrong about that. Finding the hotel was easy. Had to be a themed hotel (horse on the door) as close to the mall as possible. So there was only one choice for that..... While we wait for the next update, If you would like to figure out where I am.. I'm east of this..
  21. Just spoke to Rob... I won't say the hotel, until they leave so they don't get innundated with other random people calling them, but I was right.... I feel like a winner (Space Olympics) , because I figured it out.... I feel like loser because I stayed up most of the night (to my wife's great annoyance) researching websites like flightstats.com, the westedmonton mall website, flikr for pictures of galaxyland, and got my culture credits about Edmonton from wikipedia.... Chris "Soon to Get a Restraining Order Issued" Connolly
  22. Because Enjoy is part of the Mural for Galaxy Orbiter a roller coaster at Galaxyland..He just took a picture of that. The candy they bought at "London Drug" also inside the West Edmonton Mall and the saw poster was on the HMV store entrance..... All of this Canada research makes me want to visit someday.
  23. One more reply to make this thing official ... You are at Galaxyland at the West Edmonton Mall. This photo taken from another posters trip report matches the "enjoy" photo you posted earlier. I'd be willing to bet all the other ads and posters including the saw 3 one were taken inside that mall......
  24. For Bonus Points I'd venture to say your first flight was Northwest 304.. Leaves at 8:26 arrives at 1:47.. There was natural light coming through the windows at Terminal 2 in LAX so you didn't take one of the earlier flights, and that is the only one that would have allowed enough time between layovers to go to Mall Of America.. Also ( according to wikipedia, an infallible source) there is a large population of Franco-Albertans (read French Canadians) in Edmonton, hence the desire to import European candy as shown in your photo. The advertisement showing the girl wearing a French Beret coincides with all this.... Next I'm off to work trying to locate the ads... The Virgin Mobile logo show in that ad is not the one used overseas currently. It is currently being used in America and Canada.
  25. You are in Edmonton... You flew Northwest Flight 1023.... The 23 is the cut off part of that flight number! My eyes hurt from looking at flight numbers.
