Slightly off topic and I'm quoting the article not Adam (who I'll thank tremendously for all his news posts). This, my friends, is how you fail at business 101. You implement a bonus structure that is not based on the fiscal health of the business and simply on one (or a group of) employee's performance..... Hypothetical Situation A- The General Manager, Marketing Head, COO, of the park is required to hit a certain attendance mark to recieve his bonus. In an effort to boost attendance numbers they give away the gate (charge nothing to get in- say $17.76 or whatever it was). The park fails because of its cash flow issues and you sue because you didn't get your attendance bonus.. Ironic? Wrong? You decide. I'd like to say i305 (the last good rollercoaster I was on), but sadly it's this.... Can you name the ride? -
If I had to pick an order... I'd do Tower of Terror (by 2:00pm most people have made it through that part of the park), followed by California Screaming, backtrack to Soarin' and then hit Grizzly River Run as late as possible as the lines are busiest in the heat of the day... If fast passes are available for all rides at that time, I'd just go by the order of shortest return time.

Facebook Etiquette Tips: Photos and Tagging
Chroniq replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I know.. TPR rules say I should read the whole thread, but I'm busy at work, so if this is a repeat of someone else's post I'm sorry. I had tagging turned off till our first TPR trip, because my friends/employees/flings would tag the worst photos of me.. If I wanted to remember how bad my skin was in 7th grade, I'd happily upload those photos myself.. It's too bad that facebook doesn't have more privacy options regarding tagging (ie people on a trusted tagging list ).... Also sad that the people who are likely to tag the worst photos are also not likely to read this post. -
Thanks Robb.. I promise to use the search feature in the future...

Whichever mod saw my orphaned thread and found the correct place.. Many thanks... So we had a party tonight for Kristin's coworkers and there were about 10 little kids there.. I managed to shoehorn yo gabba gabba into the conversation.. First comment from a mom was "you mean the show with the puppet who looks like a big orange dildo".... Spoiler Alert---- During our first TPR trip we were exposed to the yo gabba gabba phenomenon ..Being the cynical people we are (usually laughing at others misfortunes) it was a little jarring to be exposed to Nick Jr's top rated show. Without spoiling one of the best part's of a TPR trip, I strongly urge you to download yo gabba gabba season 1 episode 1 "EAT"... The show has so many wins it's tough for me to elaborate.. Feel Free To--- Listen to another show/song/movie while watching yo gabba gabba on mute Discuss inferred motives and meanings to the show Memorize everything Not be ashamed you are watching a kid show Reminisce on all the 80'sa 8-bit references You can download now off amazon for 1.99 a show.. Apparently yo gabby gabba's producers are copywrite enthusiasts as I couldn't find epsiodes on you tube... Chris "Apologizes to Moderators Ahead of Time for not Finding the Correct Thread" Connolly

Mystery USA GCI Project?
Chroniq replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Not to be a hater, but threads like this make me wonder how many people actually read all the posts.... That being said it's definitely not a new steel building in PA for train building, It's clearly a secret "sink or swim" project for Ghost Town in the Sky.. Chris "Just Noise" Connolly -
Mystery USA GCI Project?
Chroniq replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
After speaking with numerous investors as well as court clerks administering the bankruptcy/ restructuring proceedings... This is actually a secret woodie currently being built at Ghost Town in The Sky . The park has been spent two million in infrastucture improvements to support the building of this coaster and the original park investors as well as their creditors believe this clandestine construction project will be the ace up their sleeve to revitalize the shuttered park... You heard it hear first.. All of the zoning variances are readily accessible right now from the county website as well as the court sanctioned agreement providing that this coaster is being paid for in cash and not being financed in any way. Incredible.. -

Mystery USA GCI Project?

[quote name="robbalvey" I would have to think that if they were involved' date=' they'd be under some kind of NDA agreement and they wouldn't talk to anyone about it unless it was one of the contacts already established on the project. --Robb[/quote] I agree completely as we have worked under those auspices in the past.. I just wanted to put it out there so others wouldn't bother them.. So far that is the only company I've found that has a similiar logo (white Z on redbackground) and works with major commercial projects.. Do you or anyone else see something different in the hard hat logo? Chris "Destroying productivity one post at a time" Connolly -
Mystery USA GCI Project?
Chroniq replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
These are my favorite threads on TPR.... Here's where I am on the hunt to solve this... The logo on the gentleman's hardhat appears to be a Red Z.. A ten minute google search brought up nearly the exact same logo for "Diamond Z Engineer, of Cleveland Ohio" .. The only problem is the logo on his hat appears to be a square not a diamond.. All the other companies I pulled up in the states that other posters have mentioned don't seem to do this level of commercial work. Here's a link to their site http://diamondzengineering.com/contact.html . I called them and they said they weren't involved with any of this so its may be a poor guess. This picture a[pears to be from a temperate flyover state because they are pouring concrete in the middle of the summer and one of the workers is wearing a t-shirt with an eagle on it (not something commonly seen north of the maison dixon on the coasts).. If anyone sees anything that I'm missing, please post it here.. -
Because you asked. No...

Oh thanks traincrossin for that information.. I read at a third grade level so I must have skipped over that.. Thanks again! Chris "Breaking Rules Since 1981" Connolly

Alright... I'll just go out and say it.. The amount of Mexicans, Blacks, Continental Chinese and Tim Danners at Dorney Park ruined my day as well.. -

Seriously.. Four Loko can kill.... It's the kind of beverage you drink when you are thinking, "I like drinking real beer, but I'd prefer a hypercaffienated, 12% ABV, Malt Bevarage that tastes like a tootsie pop (Cherry, Blue Raspberry, Etc) and might make me throw up from the smell"... This is Ball Breweries answer to the state attorney general lawsuits banning sparks with caffiene. "We'll just keep making new flavors when the send us cease and desists on the old ones"... Anyways, drink one and pray you make it through the night... One 24oz (the only size they come in) is only slightly less alcohol than drinking an entire light beer six pack... Man.. I should get one of these tonight..

You my friend, are awesome.. As long as it's a maugite (Spelling?) I'm cool.. The beer with the devil and people canoeing on the label..
