  1. My Favorite: Splash Mountain, WDW My sentimental fave: Stanley Falls, BGA
  2. Hmm, I'm guessing many won't mind not seeing IOA for the 139,547th time after that, um, entertaining bus ride. I think the return trip after a couple hours at Margaritaville would be more enticing to many members in here. (assuming it was, for the most part, an over 21 crowd ) And Eric, you may also be asked to head up the new TPR member recruitment division in hopes of a "girls of TPR calendar."
  3. What's wrong with saying "now we have the only two dive machines in North America?" And I agree with Wes.... I'd like to see 'em use the terrain to expand on a proven winner.
  4. ^ You did what? Took your prosthetic leg off and hit your sister with it during the zero-g roll on Batman?
  5. First up, last night was a good night at the poker tables....and therefore, I'm happy. Next: Chris, I'm just gonna assume you speak of a Navy vessel stationed in Japan. Assuming this, do they let you take any pics of said vessel? I'm just curious because growing up in Fort Lauderdale, I was able to tour many NAVY ships when they came into port, including all the big nuclear carriers. They've always been a fascination of mine, and I bet some pics would make for a cool random Photo TR. Just a thought. Carry on.
  6. ^ I think she said it best. But I'll add this.....not giving a gift is understandable. Not even giving a card would be downright pathetic. When it comes down to it, weddings are really about everyone but the bride and groom. I mean, the principle characters plan the event for everyone else's enjoyment first and foremost, right? If couples weren't interested in the guests' enjoyment, then everyone would be skipping the hassle, and we'd see a ton of courthouse marriages. If you attend someone's wedding, there's no reason why you shouldn't at least give a card as a sign of appreciation for being invited. Scott "my 2 cents" B.
  7. ^ I hear ya. As religious as the Fogals are, how much do you wanna bet the dad was still wanting to leave his daughter behind?
  8. This was a joke, right? Right?
  9. Starting a thread for a well-known TPR member seems to be the thing to do these days, so here's to ya, Julie...enjoy your 27th!!
  10. Great pics Paul. It's always great to see more than just coasters. Nice site, btw.
  11. Pretty good idea, Soren. I think I've stayed at just about everyone of 'em by now, so it'll be cool to check 'em off as you post. One cool thing about Animal Kingdom Lodge is if you walk out by the Savanne at night, you can ask the cast members to view the animals with nightvision goggles, which is pretty cool....and the kids love it! The cast members are also very knowledgable about their African homeland, which made for some cool conversation the last time we stayed there. Anyway, nice job, welcome back, and keep those pics coming.
  12. Oh yes I did. Sorry, I couldn't resist. But I don't have much room to talk either....lifetime Bruins fan here. I actually root for your Leafs once the B's are out of it, though. I have a good friend close to the organization. Scott "stupid expansion " B. EDIT: We should let this get back on topic now.
  13. 1. Space Mountain (and no, it didn't freakin' matter which side) WDW 50. God only knows 100. Manhattan Express - Yes, I know. 150. Coming Soon.....maybe Thunderhead.
  14. ^ They own the second longest Stanley Cup dry spell. As far as my screen name......I kinda like these guys and their rides: http://www.bolliger-mabillard.com/index_en.aspx
  15. ^ Well, SFGAM anyway. Good article. If the woman's leg had hit someone, could they have sued for assault? Kidding, I'm kidding.
  16. how can you expect every single animal in the world that is killed for food to be killed in a humane way? I can't. I can hope for it.
  17. With the exception of Dueling Dragons' lift hill view being less than.....um, scenic.
  18. I've been a couple times in October and it never felt colder than your typical Atlanta winter. I was perfectly comfortable in cargopants, sweatshirt, and skullcap.
  19. Well, we could all argue this issue for hours. I think the bottom line point that is trying to be made by animal activists is this: If indeed, for instance, "99.99%" of animals are killed in a humane way, then why not 100%? Why does there need to be 00.01% torturing animals before they end up on my plate? I'm not a vegan, and far from a treehuggin' hippie, but I am a strong supporter of animal rights. Yes, animals are killed in mass quantities for food. Yes, I eat many of them. But yes, I also feel better knowing they were not tortured prior to death. And that's the point...why not just kill them in a fast, painless manner? It's like diet sodas claiming "just one calorie." Why keep that last calorie?
  20. Yeah, that's what I was getting at. I guess I coulda been a bit clearer on that one. Hey wait, we should ask Cerberus to draw something up for it. Have you seen his ToT renderings? Amazing stuff. Paging Cerberus......
  21. ^ Yeah, I have heard they do an exceptional job transforming it....but........ And I'd definitely be one of those purists ready to storm Iger's office if it ever happened. I was just suggesting a separate permanent installation for the ride as themed to "Nightmare." It's already a cult classic, and if every other Disney movie can have it's own ride, why not Nightmare, right?
  22. You forgot one "ova." And yes, expect all Paramount parks to now have 50% more concrete and 100% less character according to many experts.
  23. I've always wondered, if it's so "good," then why not build a permanent one for it? Lord knows the goth and emo kids need love too. Scott "temporary ride transformations are lame" B.
  24. ^ That sounds familiar....where have I heard that before?
