  1. Tatsu- sorry no new pic. Plus my plane back to Midway hit a damn good air-pocket on the way home near Denver (I was the only one secretly cheering and hoping we hit another one. I guess that kinda counts as a coaster ride.
  2. Thanks Robb and Elissa- The TPR campout was well worth my 2000 mile trek to SFMM!! (Okay, so 1700 miles were traversed in an aluminum tube flying at 38,000 feet into Las Vegas- where I had a 3 day detour but hey, I did drive from L.V. to L.A.) Since this was my first TPR event, thanks to everyone for making me feel welcome as I didn't really "know" anyone per-se prior to getting to the camp out. Glad I got to talk to so many great TPR members!!! Although I think we all averaged about 8 minutes of actual sleep, the campout was FANTASTIC- I was stationed just behind Wes's Camp Awesome and next to Guy and Kim Possible at my own Camp Wal-Mart (where I had to buy all my gear last minute- because I wasn't checking a $2 cooler, a $5 sleeping-mat, and a $10 ((and surprisingly comfy and underused)) sleeping bag on the plane on the way out there) Thanks for the food and entertainment and all the other sleep-depriving diversions as we waited for Tatsu, and again, after it premiered. The ride is just incredibly AWESOME, and I think no one can get enough of "The Pretzel". I managed 12 (possibly 13- I was getting kinda bleary about numbers towards the end of the day) rides all day on Tatsu. I was also amazed that ALL of the other coasters were running for the day. (I am not counting Flashback). I was on the Revolution for the Media Moment where they dueled the ride with Tatsu for the unveiling. That was a blast!!! (Yes everyone, that is my arm sticking up and my woo-hooing towards the front of the train in the media spots- please form an orderly line for my autograph ) 40 coaster rides for the day in total!!! Best time I have ever had at the Mountain. Let's all do it again sometime. My throwaway camera provided mostly throwaway pics, but I got a couple I will try to post in the next couple of days. Thanks so much for the invite to Media Day. I'm just glad The Moose outside didn't tell us the park was closed! James MC AlarmingToast@aol.com
  3. Just depends on how much you suck Take the worst song by your favorite band, have it re-made by your least favorite singer, then have Madonna write new lyrics for it, what is it called now?
  4. No, I gotta wait a couple minutes before I ride Flashback.
  5. 22 degrees in Norway is WAY DIFFERENT than 22 degrees in the U.S. That whole Metric Conversion thing and all . . .
  6. I am not a big "Oingo" fan but I do own their greatest hits CD and "Dark At The End Of The Tunnel". "Out Of Control" is probably one of the best 25 songs ever!!!
  7. Diet Pepsi- Crystal Light Pink Lemonade
  8. Canada Mexico Jamaica Hispanola Grand Cayman Berry Islands Virgin Islands (tho I didn't necessarily see many of them around there) Bahamas
  9. Anything SOUR!!! And I love Sweettarts.
  10. El Toro was really a displaced Norwegian rollercoaster who just really was in search of a good Mexican dinner. This was much to the chagrin of it's parental units, who stood by with a disapproving nod of their collective heads, looked El Toro in the eye and said "Son, you may be the product of a heated night of passion and over-consumption of our favorite orange liquer but . . ."
  11. White Castle!! Would you rather go on favorite ride where your boyfriend/girlfriend gets sick all over you, or have them not get sick and your favorite ride is closed for the day?
  12. Yes!! Have you ever flirted with your best friend's significant other to prove that you could and to piss him/her off?
  13. I am happy because I found $40 that someone lost and did not claim.
  14. Likes going down Has used deodorant recently, or is just flaunting the fact that he/she is European. Is about to bottom out.
  15. The one thing I really like about 6 Flags season passes is the ability to transfer where you use them. I have used my SFGA pass at SFMM, and last year my ex bought me a pass to SFKK, which I used there, at SFGA (5 times) and SFSL, I got her money's worth all right!!!
  16. I have been a member of ACE for over 10 years. Prior to the advent of the Internet and the home PC ACE was really top of the line. Nowadays, the info is out-of-date by the time you actually get the newsletters and magazines BUT it IS nice to have pics that you can look at anytime without having to turn on the PC. They do have some great pics!!! I will always belong for this factor alone. And there are some benefits (First ride of the day on The Beast and half price admission, discounts on rental cars etc . . .) But it's like any "enthusiast" club, the fun is just knowing that there are other people who belong who "GET" the whole theme-park-experience and love rides as much as I do.
  17. I just got to ride "The Boss" for the first time last year. It was awesome, though a bit of a headbanger. I have always loved "The Screamin' Eagle" a great John Allen Classic. Mr. Freeze is good, and so is Batman (although it does have the Been-There-Done-That Factor). I really used to like the (removed) side of the silly little River King Mine Train. That was by far the better track, the side they have operating today is kinda lame. SFSL needs a "Hyper" or a "Floorless" and I would imagine by 2008 we will have one of the two on property.
  18. Oops, I forgot. "Whatever It Was Called" at the MGM theme park in Las Vegas- Lame "Excalibur" at Valley Fair- (I did not visit it when "Ex" was the next big thing, and I am glad I didn't because it sure wasn't- I don't get that ride at all-though I think it could be reprofiled heavily and made fun).
  19. And my other pressing question is "Where's Claude?"
  20. I'd have to say "Son Of Beast" but that is partly my own fault. I visited PKI when my allergies acted up and my head was feeling pretty taxed by just walking around. (Damned stuffed nasal cavities) so all the head-banging on SOB was intensified 100%- Had I just taken a few decongestants, I would have still found the ride fun, but still a headbanger in the worst degree. Even so, it was still worth 2 rides. Not more than that though. That is a ROUGH ride.
  21. A fun ride, glad that I got on it. Did not care for the restraints which pressed on my legs. I am especially prone to leg cramps and instead of being excited for the ride once I was harnessed, I was worried if my leg was goning to go into spasms instead. Never happened, but it was on my mind instead of just enjoying the ride outright. Same thing happened on PKI's Son Of Beast, but the leg cramps were the least of it. My head throbbed instead. I still like the ride, but 2 rides per visit is PLENTY.
  22. The English language put the "h" in sugar and sure We put the "R" in Colonel We removed the "K" from Knowledge and Knife We've got "Read" (reed) and "Read" (Red) We've got "Tear" (teer) and "Tear" (tare) We've got "Wind" (winned) and "Wind" (wined) My point is saying, unless you know the language, assume that you don't!! English is confusing enough and we speak it. James (why does my name end in an 's' if I am not plural?)

  24. I figured out the "Twist" of "The 6th Sense" mere minutes into the movie. Didn't figure out the twist in "Unbreakable" but redeemed myself with "The Village" where I guessed at the ending before it started. Apparently me and M. Night Shylaman are on the same wave-length. Last movie I rented was "The Man Who Wasn't There", Coen Bros. Very good. Last movie I saw was "Syriana". Also very good. Next movie I am going to see is "DaVinci Code" I read the book Before it got to be the biggest selling book since the Bible. Loved it then, can't wait. Read the other Dan Brown books-you won't be disappointed.
