  1. GASM at SFOG- really surprised the heck out of me the first time I rode it. I expect some steel coasters to stop on a dime, but not usually a woodie.
  2. I actually like Deja Vu- the big problem I have with that ride is it's intermittent operating schedule, though I will have to say that SFGA has it running more often than not. They still have a very slow reload though.
  3. But if we take the letters from Robb-Elissa and re-arrange them we have "Abbs or Lies" and even though that doesn't mean anything I am sure that it could.
  4. Mine is easy tho kinda lame- James (my first name) and my middle and last initials.
  5. Kidnapped the former members of ABBA and made them sing Dancing Queen over and over. Finally when the Deeply Tanned Abino Man wasn't looking, Agnetha (the blond female) hurled a Swedish Meatball at Albino Man, rendering him unconcious. Meanwhile, Robb, who was nearby, but not at the show spotted a note from the President to Elissa, which read . . .
  6. The Dells are close- but they are NOT next door. If you are already at SFGA- stay on I-94 N all the way to Madison, WI and continue north to the Dells. AVOID Milwaukee if you can by taking the I-894 West bypass. IF you are going back to Chicago overnight, let me know where you are staying and I will let you know the quickest way back to the Dells. EVEN if you go straight from SFGA- Plan on a 3 hr or so trip.
  7. going from HW to IB- your quickest bet is to stay on I-65, going to SFGA is trickier though. Really depends on what time of the day you plan to hit it. Best overall bet is this. (and I live near these intersections), take I-65 north to the I 80-94 exit (this will be on the rt hand side of the road)- take I-80/94 west to Chicago- STAY on I-80 west( I-94 will veer away to the north near Lansing, IL just over the border) (there WILL be congestion near the IN/IL border, please be prepared), from I-80 west take I-294 (Tri-State Tollway) north all the way past O'Hare until it rejoins I-94. Stay on that until you get to the Grand Avenue exit to go to SFGA. HOWEVER, if you are going LATE at night or EARLY in the morning, this alternative CAN save you some time- take I-65 north to I-90 west (The Tollway/The Skyway), take I-90 west into Illinois where it joins I-94 north (AGAIN, if you are going to hit this after 7:00 a.m. forget it, it will NOT save you any time)- Stay on I-94 North til the Grand Ave. Exit for SFGA. Please note, no matter which way you take, BRING COINS!!! You CANNOT get to SFGA on any major highway without at least some TOLLS. No matter which way you take, PLEASE take the time to look at an atlas before you try do drive up this way, it will save you some headaches.
  8. Daring game of Scrabble. Robb accidentally misspelled the word "HITS" which led to a loud bout of giggling on both sides of the board with the Evil Baron Von CreditWhore remarking "Oh Robb . . .How simply naughty of you . . ." Lurking nearby was the Sissy's of America club who watched those two tittering like first grade schoolgirls and said , "That is so lame" . . . Nevertheless the deeply tanned Albino Man secretly grabbed his bottle top opener . . .
  9. WAYYYYYYYYYY overated, though not necessarily bad. do you get along with your ex'es (girfriends, boyfriends, husbands, wives)???
  10. I have to work at my "other job" tomorrow. True, I only work one day a week there, but I have been there almost 14 years. I can't quite figure out a reason to quit though.
  11. Flashback: "Please Excuse Our Mess. We're Busy Building For Your Future Enjoyment!"
  12. and Vekoma The Gerbil tripped over Billy Ray Cyrus, who had had more than his share of Rolling Rock at the park and was lying face-down near the queue area for Disaster Transport. Although she recovered her step, Elissa had dropped her Waffle Cone in the fracas. Singling out a roving security guard, she pointed at Mr. Achy Breaky Heart, still unmoving and said . . .
  13. Why does having a broken vacuum cleaner suck more that having a vacuum that actually sucks???
  14. I went to my niece's graduation party today. I am starting to feel old because she was born while I was in college, and now in two months, she will be going to the same college I was at when she was born. Yikes!!!
  15. Just once in a great while I will get a taste for them for whatever reason. Do you like pork rinds?
  16. Wait: Important Question Here!!!! Is it Waffles, the foodstuff (noun) or Waffles (the verb- i.e. to switch position randomly) I can't announce my pledge towards the new theme until I know. I will probably hardly sleep a wink until then. I would have to think it's the verb, since we have gone though Donkeys, Drywall, Lentil Soup etc . . .so recently. I think this is a test.
  17. The Cedar Creek Mine Train, but after seeing the original in operation, abandoned his plans, and just watched the original for the sheer beauty of early Arrow Coasters. Robb had re-assembled himself by this point and tried to look non-chalant about the whole affair. Elissa, reading this text turned to Robb and said "You had an affair?". In the meantime, the Outrageously Torrid Dancing Gummy Bear Review (new at C.P. for '06) shimmied by and . . .
  18. Before you all take your Hero Worship to the next step, remember this. West Chester Nazarene has No Good Rides!!! Though they do plan to build a Vekoma next year. I am on my way home from there now.
  19. Yes- I can't say I liked it or didn't because the taste was so foreign though. Does it take you more than 10 seconds to figure out if you like (general terms) the random unknown person who is talking to you?
  20. I will be on another vacation in just two weeks!!!
  21. I finally got my rebate for my new-ish flat screen monitor. $110- ka-ching.
  22. The Target store near my place in Highland, IN. continually gives out my number to job applicants. This has been going on for 2.5 years. It annoyed me at first, but now it's kinda routine and sadly funny.
  23. I live in NW IN (25 miles from Chi-town) which high school did they use???
  24. Took a bag of marshmallows from Elissa, and some graham crackers and practiced the fine art of Smore-igami. After much folding and twisting, some fussing and a couple of Not-So-Nice Expletives, he amazed all onlookers with a working model of Tatsu that was completely edible. Unbeknownst to Robb, just behind him stood the Man With The Long Shoes, who grabbed Elissa and . . .
