Corkscrew Adventures [RCT2]
jason10 replied to B.A.B's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Interesting coaster. A nice layout for an early Dive Machine and something I think Alton Towers should have done with Oblivion rather than finishing on just the turn. The story seems kind of inspired by Nemesis. Am I right? I love what you have so far and I look forward to seeing it finished! -
Where in the World is Robb & Elissa???
jason10 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Everyone in that Wagamamas photo is rather pale! At the time you posted it, it would be about dinner time here in the UK. I concur, you have entered the UK. For what; I really don't have a clue. -

Oh... My... God... I think I've been blinded by it's amazingness. That is fantastic! I am so glad that we bought a more expensive graphics card over a cheaper one! NL2, here we come. -
What a nice report! Made extra special by seeing myself in a few of the pictures. Interesting perspective and one which I haven't seen of myself before. There were some really nice shots in there!

Cd Onride videos- which coasters?
jason10 replied to vinphenix's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
As far as I'm aware, the YourDay System is now out of action and has been for a couple of years. Although, I do know that there is now the more conventional style of video on Oblivion run by Picsolve and not YourDay. It just records you while you ride without the whole YourDay nonsense mixed in. Other rides: Saw: The Ride Stampida (both sides) -
I have had a few dreams, that I remember, that I have become aware that I was dreaming. It is, like most are saying, a surreal experience. It does seem odd that you don't alway realise you're dreaming. They are always so ridiculous- with many quick changes and tangents. It seems nearly impossible to think that it seems normal, in any state of mind. Plus, you never remember falling asleep or laying in bed despite it happening just moments ago. Anyway, at any point in a dream I realise that I am dreaming, It always ends up to crumble and fall apart in front of my eyes and then go blank before uncontrollably waking up. I have never been able to stay awake after the realization. I'm going to try it tonight and see how it goes!

Gardaland Discussion Thread

I had the exact same thoughts, Robb. It does seem like a big coincidence! Only time will tell I guess. On a different note, I love the efforts they are going to. It is always great to see a park have pride in their work and really put effort in to make the whole experience of the construction, and time leading up to opening a special one. -
That is EXACTLY what happened on my flight from Washington to Heathrow at the end of the Intimdatour. Although she could get her arm rest down, when she put her arms on the arm rests, she extended about a third of the way into my seat. NO exageration. It was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I have ever had on a plane. In the end, I asked to move and my dad followed suit.

Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread

I have to say that the helix did take me by surprise. People had told me that it was intense but I didn't expect what I got. I was on the verge of greying out and my vision was just starting to go funny before we reached the top and it was gone. I was pleasantly surprised! -
Chessington tomorrow?
jason10 replied to dubaidave's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah, not surprised! Today was the first day back so I imagine everyone was trying to get their last minute rides at Alton! -
Chessington tomorrow?
jason10 replied to dubaidave's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I can't really imagine it being too busy tomorrow in all honesty. Most, if not all schools have gone back (at least mine has) so it should keep the queues at bay. I'm not really an expert on Chessington and queues, but how I see it, you should not be waiting very long at all! -
Any launch coaster because it's all a pre-lift! I joke, I joke... I have quite a few that I like and they are all different but great so, I'll just list my favourites in no particular order: Mystery Mine Saw Nemesis Inferno

< Oh my god! That's hilarious! I geuinely 'loled' when I read that. Thank you very much Title Fairy!

List the parks you have visited in 2010
jason10 replied to Groteslurf's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
How can I follow that up? Oh well... Thorpe Park Alton Towers Chessington World of Adventures Legoland Carowinds Dollywood *Nascar Speed Park* Busch Gardens Williamsburg Kings Dominion That's more than any other year in my life, so I'm happy with that. -
One tiny detail that I find a slight annoyance is only being able to build a camera on a straight bit of track. On some coasters, they have them mid-drop and on RCT in its current form, that's impossible. I would just like to be able to put a camera where ever I want on the track, even on an uninterrupted curve. Just a little thing I would like to be able to do. Oh, and make it look slightly more attractive. It's kind of ugly at the moment. What with the tacky smiling faces and all.

Technically speaking, making it look like a shockwave would mean making it invisible. Only to be viewed by high speed camera. Meh, it's late here: I have my excuses. -
I guess what ever takes your fancy, please! If I could have another...

Oh, I know. It's just that I have just come off the Intimidatour and thought I would voice my opinion because I was left feeling a little disappointed in the people who bashed it. -
Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread
jason10 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I rode Intimidator 305 with high expectations and I was left slightly disappointed after my first ride in the morning! Don't get me wrong, it was a great great ride, but I was just a little disappointed that it wasn't quite what I thought everyone was saying it was. However, at night time, it is a whole different story. It instantly went from the disappointment of the trip to the surprise of the trip! It is a kick-ass ride once it warms up! Mix that with a bit of darkness and you have something truly insane! I absolutely loved the ride and think that anyone who wants to moan, whine and whinge about the trims needs to be shot. It is verging on being my number one coaster. So, in conclusion, SHUT UP ABOUT THE TRIMS; it's bloody fantastic. -

TOP 5 B&M INVERTED COASTERS
jason10 replied to CoasterExpert13's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wait for it: 1. Nemesis 2. Nemesis Inferno Oh how sad I hope to add to that list on the Intimidatour though! I shall update my views afterwards. -
I have to say I have Mottephobia or fear of moths. God damned those things are scary! It's horrible! The way they clumsily flap their wings about like some idiotic, satanic freak and have dark bodies, it's hard not to show some spite towards them. The bigger they are, the worse they are; especially the big, juicy ones! They will come into your room and fly in seemingly random patterns but really, it's their way of giving you the two fingers BALRGH! And how they reside to the wall and sit there, hours on end, without a care in the world and the moment you walk past, the start flailing their wings about and flop around your face. Can't they all have a mass suicide and fly to the largest light source; the sun? I can't look at one, not even a photo.I was once in the bathroom with one and there was no way of getting rid of it. It got on the door handle so I was too afraid to open the door to get out. That's how bad it is...

I would have to say that the most under-rated coaster I've been is without a doubt X *Colon* *Backslash* WTF, I mean, X:/ No Way Out. To be honest, it's not the most amazing coaster ever, but it is a fun ride. Backwards in the dark with little pops of airtime at the back (or is it the front) is quite a good combination. It gets a lot and I mean A LOT of crap, but I rather enjoy the little bugger! It's a good laugh!

PortAventura Discussion Thread
jason10 replied to Shockwave's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm not too sure what to make of this. When I visited in 2009, I was struck by how professional everything was. Each themed area was pulled off so well and even something as cliched as The Wild West was presented impeccably well! I fear this will add a touch of tackiness that Port Aventura doesn't need to have. I'm not disputing the idea of a family area as I welcome a younger market to any theme park however, the whole Sesame Street theme doesn't really do it for me. I feel it will damage the incredible and unspoilt atmosphere I love at Port Aventura. Alas, I shall wait and see how they approach this and I hope it will be just as fantastic as the rest of the park. -
I'm single and happy! Very happy in fact and have no intentions of getting a girlfriend. I 'spose it's an age thing but I seem to be one of only a few people at my age who don't see a point of a relationship at 14 years old. To be quite honest, I'm not a keen believer in love at all! I don't really see myself getting married or being dragged into a relationship no matter what love feels like. I love being single and I love just having my friends. Too many people just ditch you when they start going serious in a relationship and that p***es me off. Again, I'm sure most of this is age related but hey, it's what I'm feeling right now! One thing that is REALLY annoying about young relationships is the desire to be pysically connected at ALL times with your other half at all costs. Just people at my school practically doing it as they walk down the hall to their lessons. Or when they are split for just an hour of their 80 year life, a measly hour, they insist in having an hour long snog and roll down the walls. They ALWAYS hold hands and stretch across the corridor, basically making some sorta' barricade of love and are oblivious to anything going on outside of their cringy, cheesy loved up world. At lunch or break, they all make a mad dash for the field and lay together, or should I say lay on top of each other and make intermittent kisses and the occasional snog. It's incredibly annoying and I feel they are simply acting how they think they should when 'in love.' Either that or their (mine too) teen hormones are through the roof and they expel their desires on their girl or boyfriend. They're too young for it. People in my year have already done the whole caboodle and someone in my year, bearing in mind she is fourteen, has had a baby already. I'm not impressed at all. You see what 'young love' does to you? It just causes annoyances and problems for you and the people around you. Now, that's just a very cynical view from a person who is at this moment quite stressed, tired and is experiencing a sugar low, so it's best to not take TOO seriously what I just said. However, I do believe what I say to be true, no matter what mood I'm in.
