  1. It is exactly the same colour as other coasters Merlin has built, which I guess is a shame. The only thing is, I feel this will be the coaster that most suits the colour scheme out of the lot. What with X-Sector being a sinister government testing ground and Oblivion already being grey/black. The whole area is that kind of futuristic, almost bland grey/black with orange splashed here and there. I guess the intention was to carry on the theme. That or Merlin really are that boring with colour schemes and it just happens to suit the theme anyway.
  2. That was more than I expected! It looks so realistic and with the transfer tracks and the ability to use them fully, it is really shaping up to be the most realistic simulator out there. For it to be in such and early stage of development and be this great so far, it really is amazing.
  3. The day the park opens for the main 2012 season is when it should be ready.
  4. Well, mine is 68. For someone who doesn't do much exercise, it's not too shabby. I did have a cake just now, so the caffeine might have effected it, but, it's close enough for now.
  5. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Home-Charity-Song-feat-Allen/dp/B006DAXVMK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1322423015&sr=8-1 My cousin very recently took his life and this is a song that he wrote with his friend for his GCSE. His parents decided to release the song on iTunes, Amazon and many other websites. They have have paired up with a charity called Papyrus UK which is a charity for the prevention of young suicides and, well, all proceeds from the song go to the charity. The song isn’t released until the 5th December, but you can pre-order from Amazon now and soon you will be able to on iTunes. So please, spread the word, tell your friends and buy as many copies as you can. We only need to sell 5,000 copies for it to get into the top 40 and 15,000 to reach the top 10.
  6. Bean is quite possibly the cutest baby ever... Not that I've said it before or anything. You really have started him off early! I expect to see him riding El Toro and the like in the near future! Nice to see you had what looks like a positively happy family day out. Makes you all warm and fuzzy inside. Anyhow, it looks to be a nice event for the youngsters and Santa enthusiasts alike. Thanks for the TR! Edit: And to think that it feels like yesterday I was walking around the Statue of Liberty with a heavily pregnant Kristin. Time really does fly.
  7. I do agree that the station does seem to be very impressive, let alone the rest of the ride. It will be interesting to see the plane once it has all been constructed along with the rest of the themeing. The interaction looks superb! I'd love for there to be some sort of splash element on the turnaround over the water.
  8. I pretty much reblog and sometimes post things I find funny with a sprinkle of interesting stuff. http://vajayjason.tumblr.com/
  9. When I went to Thorpe Park Fright Nights this year, my friend who has a prominent phobia of mental asylums (for personal reasons which we won't go into), was understandably apprehensive about going into the park's previous flagship maze 'The Asylum'. Saying this, she decided to brave it as curiosity got the better of her and we kept reassuring her it would be fine. As went went in, she started to panic. (She sometimes gets attacks.) When we went into the section with all of the strobes, she cracked, stopped moving and broke down crying. The actor who was there was very good in escorting both my friend and I back out the maze to the nearest exit. If you were to panic to a level where continuing would be near impossible, actors will no doubt be able to escort you out of the maze. Saying this, unless you have a specific and prominent phobia that relates to the subject of the maze, you should be absolutely fine. My friend braved the other mazes with no problems despite her episode in The Asylum.
  10. Again, this is another advertisement stunt done by Thorpe Park. Nemesis Inferno has always had the seats for 'larger guests' available from the day it opened. There have always been signs informing of which rows have them. It's nothing new so I have no idea what the point of doing this was. But lately, I've begun not to question them and rather let them get on with it.
  11. Merlin's advertisement scandals strike again. Anyone who takes this seriously needs to reconsider exactly what the article is trying to be and say.
  12. I was so excited when I heard that there would be a European and Italy trip next year. Unfortunately, us Europeans are still in school for both trips and nothing else interests me that much. Doesn't seem like a trip next year is possible. Sad times.
  13. And that is why I love Germany. And that is why I love Germany.
  14. That would honestly never happen. Thorpe Park has a height limit too, you know. I think it is 120 feet. Stealth was the one major exception to the rule they were allowed to have. The Swarm was another exception they could have but not to such a degree. They are allowed to add them at intervals. I think there is one more coaster on the MDTP that surpasses the ceiling height of the park. But no coaster will go as high as Stealth. Not in the near to mid future anyway.
  15. It's a hard life, isn't it? Having two B&Ms in one place. I guess we'll just have to bite the bullet and go somewhere with a B&M Hyper and Giga in one place. Now, I know it's tough, but I know we can unite together and just go. Even if it's just for an hour. Canada has it hard. I feel for you guys. On a side note, a Leviathan Bash sounds incredibly awesome and I would LOVE to go. However, a giant expanse of water prevents me from doing it. I'll make it out some other time, I'm sure. Nick will just have to put up with me for another week!
  16. Great pictures, Nick! Glad to see some familiarity with the column supports. Hopefully track will be going up soon and we may be able to figure out exactly what this thing is!
  17. All they would have to do is ship a couple of thugs from London to CW to terrorise the park with riots! That, for now, is the Terror of London. On a more serious note, this is looking like a project to keep an eye on! It certainly has me intrigued. I cannot wait to find out what it is.
  18. El Toro for night time ERT on the North East trip. I squeezed in 15 rides and boy did I feel it! One of the most intense experiences of my life. It was flying through the whole course and it was amazing to see how different it was at night from our morning rides on it!
  19. Yes! I was too impressed with the Nitro crew. In ERT, there were 3 trains running and they would even despatch the train in the station before the next train was on the final block. It was incredible.
