This is just a little project I've been working on for about a week. It's a simple GCI woodie with LOADS of airtime. I guess it's what you'd expect though. A few lats but, nothing too serious. No red G's! Passes tunnel test and E-stop test as far as I'm aware. Enough blabber... enjoy! -------------------------------------------------------- Rampage - Don't get in the way... We were planning to do Nemesis Inferno as it seemed the best coaster to do without affecting capacity too much. Saw: The Ride is a bit to vicious to be honest and Colossus is WAY too bumpy. Stealth I would like to keep special. So Nemesis Inferno seemed a good a choice as any. I agree with the doctor thing and me and my friend would certainly get a check-up. Also, we were only going to do the marathon for opening hours so really, no more than say, 6-8 hours depending on the day. In that time, we would abide by the Guiness World Record rules which state we get a 5 minute break after every hour of riding etc... It seems really the best thing to do now is contact the park, ask for permission and then take it from there. One more thing, on the website, it says anything related to charity should be sent X address. I'm guessing for this I should write a letter and send it to that address then. Thanks for the support!

We have our cause which is Bedfordshire Autism and we have another one which is Merlin Entertainment's (the company who own Thorpe Park) own Merlin's Magic Wand. So we would split the money we raised between the two because we thought it was only fair we donate some to them as they are the ones hosting us. If you see what I mean. Obviously a few fund raisers wouldn't go amis and sponsors from family, teachers and friends are for sure. Maybe even some people on here. So I think it's alright. The only problem is actually having permission to do the marathon.

This may sound stupid but, I've always wanted to do a coaster marathon. At school, we are raising money for charity and they encourage everyone to take part. An idea me and my friend had was to have a coaster marathon at THORPE PARK. This was afterall just an idea. My question was are there any health issues regarding marathons for a boy of my age? Plus, do you think the park would even accept our request? Just wanted know before actually writing to them! Thanks...

Thorpe Park ticket @ home printing
jason10 replied to zjerre's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
A few days ago, it said on the scroll bar at the top that the print at home wasn't working. I assume it works okay now as it has been taken off, but, if you ordered your tickets when it wasn't working, this is most likely the cause. You should however, phone or simply e-mail them and explain what happened. I hope for the best! -
[RCT3] Saw: The Ride

Oh yeah... I remember now. I had a blank there! It is pretty ridiculous. -
[RCT3] Saw: The Ride

He's using the Extended Coaster Model to build it. It alows you to have a more than vertical drop and have inversions with one working coaster. The track design itself isn't right as it's B&M but, RCT3 sucks for that reason! I don't know what a 'Towering Coaster' is though... So far, it is looking brilliant. I love the swinging blades. -

I have to say those are some awsome photos! I was at the park yesterday and I saw you in the queue for Saw! I should have said hello, but alas, I did not. I was even in one of your photos of the queue line. If I'm not mistaken, I think I also saw you in the Stealth single rider. I was right behind you. Again, I should have said hello to a fellow TPR member. Hope you had a great day! -
You basically got it! It's a collapsible stool. Your turn. Here's a pic of someone sitting on it! LOL > Finally, someone got it.

Well, seen as how I have said it's not a dildo already, I don't understand that some of you are still persisting it is. Anyhow, here's a clue: CLUE: It does have something to do with your bum, and it's not a wiping instrument.
-
I'm sorry. I didn't know that I had to go on TPR on my holiday. In all seriousness, even if there was internet on my holiday, I would never use it. Anywho, I'm back now and none of the guesses so far are right. Also, can we stop with the dildo and other sexual instrument jokes. It's kinda getting old. Especially when more than one people do it at once. It isn't funny when every reply to each photo is a dildo. Every 5 or so, but not each guess. Just my opinion. Guess away. Note: If you want a clue, just ask!

Fibre Optic lessons at the age of 13? Thats a good school you go to! You got it, your turn That's what you get for being top set and taking GCSE's a year early. We did our SAT's a year early too. That's why we are already doing our GCSE stuff. Plus, our school is a Specialist Science College, so it has a pretty good Science department. Here's mine. Not even I could believe what this is!

Splice Protector things. I think that's right. If I remember my science lesson on Fibre Optics!

CHAOS [RCT2]
jason10 replied to BelgianGuy's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I love the Sky Swat however, you should take the roff sections off the top. They would prevent it fron spinnin all the way around. Other than that, it looks great what you have done so far. -
What are some loud rides and coasters?
jason10 replied to JFrombaugh's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ I was just about to say the same thing. Colossus has to be the loudest coaster I have ever heard. You can hear it on the other side of the park. It has almost gotten to the point where I had to hold my ears as I went past it going through the loop. I mean, seriously, why? Also, this year, it seems to be screeching for some reason. I have never heard it do this. That too is pretty darn loud. Here's a video for those of you who don't know what I mean: -

jason10 replied to Rooey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ In fact, there is a part of the ride that Thorpe Park don't want us to see! 30% of the ride is a pre-lift section. It consists of a steep 95* drop into a turn and round another turn and then into a barrel roll. Then it goes into the light, around a corner and into some brakes before the lift. That section is all indoors. I should think it is heavily themed. So yeah, there is A LOT more to the ride than just the part you can see. In fact, you only see 70% of it! -
I know it is made by Intamin. I was being sarcastic.

And the Aquatrax! You can't forget the Aquatrax!

At first glance, this video might not reveal much but, if you look out for details you will notice a few hidden gems! For example, at 1:08, as they start ascending, you will notice the two plasma screens just above the track before the lift on the block brakes. If you put this with the 'Billy the Puppet's' laugh you can hear on another video of it testing just before you go up, this might indicate one of those pre-trap video. 'I want to play a game!' anyone? -

I took a look at the webcam earlier and noticed that they were using the transfer track and then it cut out for the rest of the day. however, I have just looked again and caught a glimpse of a train on the lift. I know we all know it is testing, I just thought it was cool, and I would show you guys. Also, it seems the splashdown is now filled up! Yep, testing goodness!
