  1. I actually wrote 2000 to begin with, because of Stealth and Millennium Force, but then I thought; "No, everyones going to put 2000; I should go with the year my #1 coaster, Ghostrider opened." So I changed it at the last minute. 1927 is my third runner up. Several of these coasters are no longer operating, but were refered to as great rides. Wildcat@Lake Compounce Cyclone@Astroland(#1 of the Harry Traver "Cyclone Triplets") Racer@Kennywood Legend@Arnold's Park Big Beast@Edgewater Park Cyclone@Palisades Park(#3 of the Harry Traver "Cyclone Triplets") Racing Whippet@Westview Park Zip@Oaks Park
  2. That Bee ride looks like something at Bon-Bon Land
  3. What the hell is that crow thing? I want to go here so bad! All the rides are so deliciously and idiotically random!
  4. Forgive me, sensor fairy. Troy looks awsome. It should make up for the crapy movie.
  5. 1998. OMFGHOSTRIDER! Granted, I rarley ride coasters the year they're built. Invertigo at PGA was big news for me, too. Now, we gawk at it with crumy Vekoma jokes. Also: Great Bear, Riddler's Revenge, and Twisted Twins Good and sought after: B&R:Chiller, Aska, Journey to Atlantis, Mr. Freeze, Mamba, Oblivion, Shivering Timbers, & Volcano. These last few years have been AWSOME too!
  6. ^^ That line queue statment could easily put Thunderhead over-the-top on its own. It so nice to know that Tennessee has the best GCI woodie!
  7. I'll try to take picture from the inside next time. Scat2 pics too!
  8. I have a feeling that I may drive down there again later this summer. I'l make sure to take Scat2 pictures. I'll also try to check out Splash Lagoon and the Panning 4 Gold.
  9. ^There's a hilarious Haunted House at Beech Bend. I loved it! http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=35297&start=10 Scroll to part 3.
  10. IMHO, I looks a bit better than Thunderhead and Kentucky Rumbler, but I would have to go for a ride to tell. I'm 99% sure that its better than Roar, if it's better than Lighting Racer.
  11. I miss that park! It was my first CF park, and there was no 54 inch limits, so I could ride EVERYTHING. I was 8, and not very tall yet. It was, however, the beggining of a firey, romatic love for CF.
  12. Great Pics! Great Review! Yay for Panda Garden and Kalahari! What's a GP?
  13. Ravine Flyer look really great! In a state like PA, you need a ride like that to make yourself known. BTW, I really loved that last picture of Comet. Its so beautifly natural, and yet, so visually thrilling! It really isn't like any coaster picture I've ever seen.
  14. Cedar Fair gets 12,000 cool points for matching rides!!! Silver Bullet, Montezooma's Revenge, Jaguar, and Sierra Sidwinder all blend into each other.
  15. *Looks at panoramic shot from westcoaster.com.* OMG! I can't BELIVE they managed to squeeze that thing in there! That's the finest example of shoehorning I've seen since The Great 'Nor Easter!
  16. It's looks pretty cool. I love BTM's location, and their Space Mountain is so colorful! Plus, they're tied with Disnelyland for most Magic Kingdom credtis. Disneyland's MK will always be my favorite, though. Matterhorn and Indiana Jones: The Temple of Peril are awsome, signature rides that are exclusive to DLC. California Screamin is the best Disney coaster I've been on that isn't linked to any sentimental value. As far as a strait-up ride, its the best around. (Disney wise)
  17. Does anyone have a panoramic pic of this ride? I don't know how if fits in there! They must have shoehorned it into that little plot of land, like they did with Silver Buller.
  18. My Dad and I are the only ones riding! Rumbler!
  19. What!? No! DLP Indiana Jones is Intamin's carbon copy of the Pinfari looping star. SM:M2 is this rouge, launch-lift coaster. The kind of ride it is, seems to be a lot like Rockin' Rollercoaster. I could never figure out how DLP ended up with two lunching, 3-inversion, indoor, Vekoma, looping, coasters. ^^ Is it me, is is that particular Looping Star bigger than most? The ones in Oregon and Kentucky are smaller. There must be 2 models or something...
  20. So this is like Jaguar's counterpart? I really like Jaguar, because if felt like a mine train, and kind of explored the park. I wonder if SS is a potetial Jaguar replacment?
  21. Very nice. I loved my trip to Beech Bend as well. Did you ride the Looping Star? It was suprizingly painless. I would have whored myself to the Wagon of Dragon, but it was closed. Where can I get one of those T-shirts? It's funny that the background has *cough*seven*cough* flags on it, instead of the, um..... six.....flags...... Was the Whipper Snapper Revy or Coli? I can't remeber....
  22. Sounds like another Fujin-Rajin waiting to happen... Oh, and welcome to the site!!!
  23. I don't understand why people don't just love these rides. I've loved every one I've been on, and I think they are more exciting then floorless coasters(Griff/Shi aside). I think they are lost art *cough*suspended*cough*, and I never though it would have ended with Scorcher. Each one was fantastic for its own reasons. BTW, am I the only one who's ridden PGA's Vortex? It's like a shorter, overly-contorted version of Scorcher. Seeing as it's my first stand-up, It has some sentimental value.
  24. My feet went numb the last time I rode Riddler. I wasn't too happy. Mantis was a *bit* rough, but its sweet location makes up for it.
