I've been to 2 Paramount's Great America events (One for Stealth's opening & Demons anniversary, and one for Psycho Mouse's opening). Stealth was closed on its own "soft opening" ERT day, but Demon had ERT for its 30th anniversary. Psycho Mouse's "soft opening" day featured ERT on both Stealth and Psycho Mouse. I rode them each just under a dozen times in a row. Then we went to the banquet, and afterwards, Drop Zone was jsut opening up. Because there was no one in the back of the park yet, I rode it several times, with the ride totally to myself. It was AWSOME .

What's your favorite Flat ride?
Axman replied to FlyingScooter's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Normally, I'd say Intiman Giant Drops, but they are the opposite of flat! I think my favorite is the Screamin' Swing; closely followed by the Giant Frisbee, and then Suspended Top Spin. My first one was here at Dorney, then I rode the one at Knott's. Yay to CF for having awsome flats! -

I added realistic supports to the coasters at one of my many sandbox parks. It looks so great! I'm not sure if I'm ready to show my parks to the world yet... I need to tinker some more. -
Going to Great America monday
Axman replied to tatsuboy123's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If that was their train of thought, then why didn't they build the water park in the first place? They knew that the Flying Dutchman was a prototype, so they should have been expecting technichal difficulties. This screams bad business decision. They lost a lot of money by deconstructing the ride only after 3 years of operation. If "They were thinking a water park is better for attracting families than a prototype roller coaster that had bad capacity and was prone to breakdowns," then why did they build Stealth at all, if only to close it so soon. -

I don't know WHAT THE HELL THEY WERE THINKING. Paramount Dumbass #1: "Hey, lets build a stat-of-the-art roller coaster, and then close it 3 years later!" Paramount Dumbass #2: "Yeah, and then we can replace it with an insignificant water park, and forget the coaster was ever there!" Paramount Dumbass #1: "Great Idea!" -
Going to Great America monday

After the sobbing, sniffle a few times and say "Well, at least Greased Lighntin' is still here." -
Fun! Great Pictures! I really need to go again. I went in 2003, and TTD wasn't quite ready yet, but everything else was running at full capacity. It didn't rain on our trip, but on the 4th day, the fog was ultra thick and moist, so we headed out early and hit King's Island on the way home, for Delirium.

I tried my best, but I just couldn't find it. I did find the RCT3 folder in my documets, but the only folder in there was the one for Fireworks. Should I make a new folder, or is that even possible? -
What is your local park?
Axman replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Nashville has no home park. My real home park is the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. It was 15 mins. from where I used to live, and I would go at least once a month. We moved from California before I turned 11, so I lucked out with all of the local trips under my belt! Especially when you throw "Knott's Great America" into the equation. We went there a lot too. I haven't been to any of the South's parks more than twice, so my home park could easily be Kings Island, Dollywood, Six Flags Over Georgia, or Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. If I had to choose one, I would have to go with Dollywood, becuase my sister lives in Knoxville, and every summer brings potential for a day trip for Thunderhead! -
Thank you MODS for unlocking my topic! I'm so happy now!!! BTW, this isn't supposed to be some in-dpth report on the best SF park. I just want to get lots and lots of opinions for any park, ant any given time, and end up with a verdict that potentaily makes sense. I like the way its going so far.

I did a search for that particular file, and my computer couldn't find it. What does this mean? -

^ Go to the options on the main menu to change that. How do I get B&M coaster trains on the extended coaster track? -

I've downloaded a file to a special RCT3CS folder that I created, but I don't know where my RCT3 Directory is, or where the Style/Theme Folder is within it. Mind showing me the way? -

How are you doing all of that cool stuff? Do you have a trainer, or do you make it all yourself?!?! I'm totally clueless to altering the game with downloadable upgrades.... -
I'm not particularly fond of Magic Mountain, but its better than Kentucky Kingdom.
-
This is something I've always wanted to know. It's the quality of the park, not the quantity of coasters, which is why I've started this poll. If coasters made the park, then Magic Mountain would be the best park in the chain, that just not so. Scrape your memories and minds, and make your opinion known. If we get enough opinions, then the answers should be clear. If you haven't been to 3 SF parks, then just check one or two. If Astroworld, Worlds Of Adventure, Elitch Gardens, Darien Lake, Frontier City, or any of the Walibis, are any of anyones' favorite park(s), please make it known as well. Thank You!!!! I want to keep this poll current for the time being, so I'm giving it a 2 week run. Because of this, think carefully before making your choices, because they are permanent. We'll check back in a few years and see whats changed.
