A Rollercoaster In Your Front Room?
Ed replied to andyuk200523's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Man Otis has buffed up since CBBC. Look at those arms! -
Nemesis in the rain is actually insane. I completely greyed out on the Helix. Pepsi Max Big One in the snow... That was just cold! And made my teeth ache for a while. Parks should start simulating weather to make things a bit more varied I think. Just not Cedar Fair.

Worst Theme Park Experience
Ed replied to deathbydinn's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Thorpe Park Fright Nights 2008. A THREE hour queue for Nemesis Inferno. I managed to get on about 4 rides in 12 hours. Joy. Thorpe Park Opening Day 2009. £24 to get in, got on 3 rides all day. None of their major rides were working. Saw broke down after people had been queuing for about 2 hours for it and never reopened. Stealth was down, Nemesis Inferno & Collosus kept breaking down all day. They didn't open rides like the Rapids until 2pm, then accidentally overfilled the water channel so it was "too dangerous to open". So many people went to Guest Services to complain that Thorpe Park decided to issue free tickets to everyone in the park who had paid to get in that were valid until September. I also managed to blag a free Alton Towers ticket by saying that I would never be going back to Thorpe Park this year (and I haven't!) which I used the other week. Very useful. Sold my two free Thorpe Park tickets for £20. -

I have a sauce that tells me this is where Intamin buy their cables from. -

Sarcasm and the internet never had a good relationship. -
Anything which takes your attention away from driving a 70mph killing machine is bad. But to be fair the most you can hope to achieve on the M25 is about 10mph

Language Barrier? All you need to do is buy a basic phrase book, or use the phrases that Robb & Elissa provide in trip guides. Saying yes and no in a foreign language isn't rocket science! In terms of rollercoasters i'd say the UK has the better bunch (I thought Exp.GeForce was a bit pants), however Eftling and Europa Park are stunning places filled with all sorts of delights. Mirabilandia also has Katun and a new accelerator coaster. Gardaland isn't bad, the theming is nice, shame the rides are a bit lacklustre.

Kanye West is probably the most hated person right now
Ed replied to edh's topic in Random, Random, Random
KANYEWEST IS A DOUCHE AND NEEDS TO HOLD HIS TOUNGE. Sorry my capslock button went missing. It's a shame he can't find his ever! (see his blogs). Props to Taylor for holding her own and not attacking him after the whole thing. And it was rather nice of Beyonce to give her back the spotlight when she got her award. -
Yeh but just to prove a point i'll be in the gutter by the end of the night Hell, i'd be in it anyway! Yeh I had to pay $10 AUS for a ride ticket which was shocking. But i'm unlikely to get back to Sydney for a long time, and seeing as the park has a somewhat dodgy history of opening I thought it's now or never. The Australian locals are quite nice, except Queensland. Met (and quickly ran away from) some very odd people there.

So I went on a weekend break to Sydney last Easter and couldn't miss up the chance to get a rather unique credit! Now if you don't know Luna Park is a rather small park just to the west of Sydney Harbour Bridge (on the north shore of Port Jackson) with one rollercoaster, a wooden Wild Mouse which I think dates back to the 1930's? Anyway by the time I got there it was sunset and the park was closing early (due to it being a sunday) so I only went on the credit! (Please ignore if some of the photos don't work, Facebook is being a massive vagina tonight) The rather stunning entrance towers to Luna Park Which hide this gruesome thing! This is what those eyes can see! And just to right.. Quite alot of water for everything to fall into They have a small Ferris Wheel This thing Mirrors which show you your actual height (And made crazy big lipped floating heads appear above you!) Looking back towards the entrance and Sydney Harbour Bridge Comical cutouts! The WildMouse is mainly hidden from view in the park behind a facade there used to an Arrow ride here, which terrifies me due to the location! http://www.rcdb.com/1141.htm The ride was removed due to noise complaints, i'm not suprised since the park is overlooked by apartment blocks! Bug Bug Bug The lights come on the Funhouse as it gets darker Slides of death inside the Funhouse One tilted photo.. Signage! Me and my Subway bag give Luna Park a bit of approval Outside the park the Wild Mouse is hidden again! It could almost be Newcastle, except there are no drunks littering the streets! Me sitting on a pole.. I didn't have enough time to get on the Ferris Wheel for some proper views unfortunately Waiting for the Ferry isn't so boring with the view Sunset in Sydney The entrance just gets creepier given that the teeth light up! Lights ablaze I'm sailing away... On a ferry to Darling Harbour. fin. About the Wildmouse itself: It's been opened closed and moved quite a few times in its life, infact it used to get uprooted every year for their Easter show. I think it's pretty much the Blackpool Wildmouse without the upper layer that got added at PBB. Now seeing as I didn't get a layout shot or any sort of good overview of the ride, RCDB has kindly donated me these pictures http://www.rcdb.com/1140.htm?p=8607 http://www.rcdb.com/1140.htm?p=22256 http://www.rcdb.com/1140.htm?p=22257 I urge everyone to go visit Australia, it's a stunning country/continent. Just don't talk to any of the locals. I'm quite sure everyone there is clinically insane.

Magnus Colosucks is possibly the worst ride I have ever ridden. I was in pain all the way around and for a good 15 minutes afterwards! Aside from that I thought the park was lovely

Even as a smoker I hate people doing it in queuelines purely the fact that it's just rude to everyone around you. I would never wish for it to be banned in themeparks though, that just screams overkill. If parks wish to put in smoking areas then fine, but put enough of them in! And make them large enough with actual smoking bins there. It makes me laugh at a train station in London where they now have a "smokers fenced off bit" outside the main station, and there isn't anywhere to put your cigarette ends.

So... According to Comic Con: Charlies back? Boone is for a few episodes as well. Juliet will be flitting in throughout the series, about 6 episodes in total. Richard Alpert wil have a centric episode and he'll be in 16/18 episodes.

It's not a real night out if you remember any of it or there isn't a traffic cone/for sale sign/plant pot/small child in your bed the next day.
