My god that's a horrific colour scheme. -
Good for that salon! If I owned an airline i'd tell anyone who touched the sides of the arm rests to buy an extra seat!

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

Hmm. Half of the appeal of a Star Flyer for me was the flimsy chain holding you in.. I wonder how much these restraints are going to clamp down on you? And from what i've heard Cedar Point like to close their rides during "bad" weather... High winds anyone? -

I think it's excellent they've opened it up already for the summer without fiddling around with some fancy landscaping. Get people interested in the ride and get more people into the park! -
I have a feeling that Magic Mountain will become the Dora the Explorer ride... And you thought it couldn't get any more annoying? Oh the whole.. I think this will be a much needed boost for Blackpool. They've been content with taking out rides and putting in fountains for the past couple of years so this is much needed! Part of Blackpool's charm is it's quirkyness and unique style of things, but hopefully they will be able to incorporate the Nickolodeon branding into this. Oh and re-open Noah's Ark please. It sucks as a garden ornament.

Elissa's Thoughts on the UK and Europe Trips!
Ed replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
To be fair the only place i've ever stopped on a coach in the USA was in the middle of the Mojave Desert. And that was a McDonalds.. So i can see why you'd like our places so much. (Although the "small" meal was enough to feed a family of four.) -
Elissa's Thoughts on the UK and Europe Trips!

Just spent a few minutes reading through the UK portion of the trip. Motoway service stations? Really? I find they're mostly full of coaches ferrying old people around the country and overpriced sandwiches! -
I don't suppose it's known if the ride was actually going when this happened? The actual bit where you'd sit looks as if it's the other way around from where it would be hoisted up. I can't see how it would end up in this position unless the tower had fallen over whilst the pendulum car was in motion.

Perhaps there is a Funnicular on the Moon??? -
^ You didn't win... And wouldn't have even drawed, if our goalkeeper actually remembered what his job was. I can't imagine the hiding he's gonna get off Capello.

Wooo bring it on tonight USA! Gonna go watch the Match in town on some massive screens.

During the summer months i'd give yourself two days at the park if you don't plan to go back any time soon. It can get very busy and the park itself is quite large so it takes a while to get from one area to another! I'd also recommend staying at the Alton Towers Hotel/Water Park. You can get some good all inclusive deals for the park, hotel and waterpark.

Just chilling.

The Big Dipper rollercoaster derailed yesterday (June 5th) in exactly the same place where an accident took place in September where two trains collided. I was there with the rollercoaster website Coasterforce at a meet-up and halfway through the afternoon we noticed that a Big Dipper train had become stuck when people from the surrounding area and attractions were evacuated. There didn't appear to many any ambulances whisking people away and there has been no media hysteria in the UK so I think it's safe to assume that nobody has been badly injured. The park have apparently called this a simple "roll-back", however photos taken by Coasterforce members present during the day clearly show the front wheels of the 3rd car off the track. I've attached a photo which shows the train stopped with the 3rd car clearly in an usual position. More detailed photos can be seen here: http://www.coasterforce.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=28504&start=14 Photo from www.Coasterforce.com

I really hope when you go through the tunnel on that Bel Italia ride a voice over comes on saying "Is that your car? Pretty car". -

Impressive! I like that your photography skills increase as your B&M count does.

Blackpool is slowly being ruined and turned into one GIANT fountain. Dislike.
