^^ I know, Larry. I only Titled it that cause that is what the park has it named. They actually call it "Crystal Coaster" and they had signs calling it "Alpine Slide Mountain Coaster" when I was there. I see on their website that the name if it is still "Crystal Coaster", but they now state that it is an Alpine Slide instead of a Mountain Coaster.

Here is a video that I took a couple years ago of the Alpine Slide Mountain Coaster at Crystal Mountain in Thompsonville, MI. It's nothing too big or crazy, but it's pretty fun. If you haul ass while on the right side track, there is a good spot of airtime. There are also some Zipline courses up at Boyne Highlands and Boyne Mountain that I hope to get to later this summer. What terrible news to wake up to. This is the first thing that I saw on my facebook when I woke up. My thoughts are with the Koch family and everyone that is pushing on at Holiday World today. Sad day indeed.

I didn't vote cause I don't want to give a false vote, but I am VERY interested in attending. My only thing is, I have a bunch of stuff going on that month (Bachelor Parties, Weddings, Etc...) and getting another weekend, or even weekend day off of work might be a bit tricky. If this ends up happening though, I will do everything in my power to attend.

Great TR! Thanks for sharing. You never really see too much from this park. I really like Michigan's Adventure. Cedar Fair is really making the park look nice, and they have a TON of room to expand. I just wish that it would get more attention from enthusiasts. It's kind of a bummer. I used to absolutely LOVE Shivering Timbers! When I rode it last year though, I thought it was really rough and pretty uneventful. Glad to hear that it's running a lot better this year. I'm gonna have to take a little trip over that way one of these days. I do indeed remember this! It was definitely generating some buzz back in the day.

We need to get together soon and catch up on all our travels, and try and figure out a little mini trip that i can afford!

^ It's $109 per person round trip, and $59 each way for your car. So even if you're rolling solo it's gonna cost you $227. If you add more people into the equation, it jacks the price WAY up. I looked into it when I headed over there a couple summers ago. Totally not worth it in my opinion. I just left MI at night and drove through Chicago at like 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning and traffic was no issue.

DING! I kid, I kid. Really though, that is a super nice McDonald's! I didn't see that one when I was there, but I did go to the world's largest McDonald's. It was multi-level, and it had crap ALL over the place, and I actually thought it felt kind of trashy. I almost just said everything that it had in it, but I caught myself. I don't wanna ruin any upcoming surprises. You know... just in case you have that one planned.

Hey Robb... So I signed up for Club TPR earlier today. I was eating at Fuddruckers and for some reason decided to check facebook on my Blackberry and saw the soft opening and I just HAD to do right away. (Food... Mmmm!) Being distracted by the best chicken sandwich ever, I chose to pay by check through the mail, but I actually want to pay through Pay-Pal. Is it too late for me to choose this option seeing as how I selected pay by mail? If it's too late... I'll deal with it and just not sleep at night wondering what's going on in the Club TPR forums.

I really hope they plant some new trees. I could see them not wanting to though so they don't have to worry about a bunch of leaves getting in the water. It would look so much better back there, though.

I've been having this same problem quite a bit when loading TR's, but sometimes it loads a solid black square instead of leaving a blank space. I've never had this problem before the upgrade.
