What is your favorite genre of music?
STR8FXXXINEDGE replied to SonOfBeastSucks's topic in Random, Random, Random
^ I guess a lot of peoples interpretations of it are different. Here's my short answer... To me, rap is a lot more negative, aggressive, and hard. Rap tends to focus on money, demoralizing girls, drugs, cars, jewelry, violence, etc... I also think that rap is very repetitive, and most of it is done over a purely computer generated beat, and the hooks or chorus' are usually terrible. I think most rap beats tend to be fairly simple, with a lot more (fake) bass. Hip Hop on the other hand, to me, is more upbeat and positive. To me hip hop focuses more on the future, and being positive about life, and making changes for the better. A lot of hip hop also focuses on relationships, friendships, family, equality, and to be proud and thankful for what you have and to do the best with what you have. It's more about life experiences and enjoying the good, and how to overcome the bad. I think hip hop is a lot more meaningful than rap. I also think that hip hop beats are usually more complicated and substantial than rap beats. A lot of hip hop emcees tend to have real instruments in their songs too, whether it be drums, horns, turntable scratching, etc... Let me know if you'd like any examples. I could give you some YouTube links to some great hip hop songs, and some not so great rap songs that will definitely show you the difference, haha. I used to be a huge hip hop head (still "one" of my favorite genres), and have a huge arsenal of goodies! But like I said, everyone's definition may be different. -

I don't think I have a favorite genre. I just love music. All music! Well, besides Opera, Gospel, and R&B, haha. I will say this, though... I'm VERY happy to see that Rap and Hip Hop are separate on the poll. I think there is a big difference between the two that a lot of people completely overlook, or just don't understand. -

^ I had to stop back by just to look at her again! I can't even handle it! I figured something out, too... she reminds me of Alyssa Milano, and that's not a bad thing! -

Oldest Coaster You've Ridden
STR8FXXXINEDGE replied to MSLSM's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The oldest coaster that I've ever ridden is Leap The Dips at Lakemont Park, which has been operating since 1902. Here I am sitting in one of the Leap The Dips cars back in 2009 -
HOORAYYY!!! Congrats to all the other Ducky Hunters that won this round! If I'm not mistaken, I think I'm now 100% qualified! - I've got my 3 Ducky wins (4 actually ) - I've met Big Mike and got my picture taken with him - I've got a Mikestery Card Now I just need to get myself entered into the "SUPER EPIC" contest and I'll be good to go!

Here are the four that I found... Sand Pail Ducky #1 Sand Pail Ducky #2 Sand Pail Ducky #3 Sand Pail Ducky #4 There was this decoy Ducky! Then... this one is the one that was getting me. Normally, Big Mike says this is the ducky that we are looking for, and says to make sure not to count it. BUT, this time, he never said to not count it. I didn't count it, and I'm hoping that I wasn't tricked!

I didn't see this posted yet, so I'll go ahead and share it. Mirabilandia posted it on Facebook last night. After watching this video, I can see what they were going for with the layout and the splash downs, and I think it works well. -

^ I'm not understanding that. Why are the boards laid the way they are then?
