  1. Thanks for taking one for the team Caesar. Keep up the good work... ...errrrrr... ...fun?
  2. I love the look of this park. Perhaps I will see if I can route one of my flights out West through Salt Lake. Then I can drive up for the day, leave around 5ish and catch the last flight out to Burbank. Heading out to LA on the 4th of September. This may need to happen. Ooooooo! Better yet! Don't they have a good Halloween event there? Perhaps I can do a 24 hour thing on one of my October trips. Fly out of Burbank in the early AM, drive up and spend the entire day and night, then fly out to Nashville the next morning. Anyone know more about their Halloween event? Would it be worth it?
  3. FYI, the Jamie Lee Curtis Taete that wrote the article is not the actress, but a male writer for Vice Magazine. Good to know. Cause I actually like Jamie Lee Curtis. It broke my heart to have to say those horrible things about her. Not that I'm backing down. Cause my anger was justified at USH. Unfortunately, much like most of my life, misguided. But still justified. So here on TPR and in front of the whole world, I Guy T. Koepp do whole heartedly aplologize to you, the real Jaime Lee Curtis. I was an idiot for lashing out blindly, and not taking a moment to find the true target of my frustration. I sincerely hope you can forgive me and my stupidity. I can't take back what I said, but I can tell you it was only because of the deception perpetrated by an imposter who was slandering your good name, and using your noteriety to further his humorless pathetic existence. With that said, Shame on you! and F#@K You! Jaime Lee Curtis Taete! Your a humorless a$$hole. My sentiment still stands. Even more so as you have less notoriety than the real lovely and talented Jaime Lee Curtis. And! Even more so for confusing me and making me want to be angry at someone who I like a lot. You are less than .000001% of HHN demographic, your opinion still holds the weight of helium, and you should go choke on a big bag of d!cks. Huge bag! Just gobble em down till you cut off your airway and fall into the cold embrace of eternal slumber. Anyway, I feel much better now, and am very proud of the direction Knott's has been going. The Calico Mine Ride and the Timber Mountain Log Ride refurbs have been all kinds of awesome. If they are truley putting in a Wonder Mountain Guardian type of ride there, I hope they continue with the same high quality that they have been showing here in the new regime. You go Knott's. I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds. Oh, and I can't wait for HAUNT! Halloweentime is the greatest time of the year.
  4. ^100% Agree! I think HAUNT has been far superior the last few years. I am still especially angry about the whole Bill & Ted fiasco. Mostly how USH handled the whole situation. It was very don't ask, don't tell. And if anyone did ask, like I did. The only responses I got was "I don't know." I am especially upset being as I always fork out the extra coin for the VIP experience and there was no mention of it what so ever upon entry. In fact, my whole group only learned of it after our private tour ended and only after we asked where we were to meet for VIP entry to the show. Our guide just stated (after much prodding) that the show had been cancelled indefinitely and if we had any issues to go speak with guest services or email guest services. So, if I have to choose which event I attend this year, Camp Snoopy or not, I will take HAUNT over HHN in a heart beat. Oh and, f*@k you Jamie Lee Curtis! Get a fu@k!ng sense of humor, or pay attention to the warnings explicitly written and presented before the show. And USH, Man up! Grow a pair! Don't just kowtow to one oversensitive D-list celebrity bit*h! She is .0001% of your core HHN demographic and her opinion should hold the weight of helium.
  5. Schools should be back in session, so try to go mid week. If you can't then get a flash pass. Use your Discover card to get in early and head straight to YOLO.
  6. ^^Honestly, they don't have to theme the ride, just theme the stations. North Pole station, Plymouth Rock station, Safari station. Etc.
  7. I find it weird that of 7 days of the week to be closed, they chose Friday. Anyone have any insider information as to why this was?
  8. ^^I think the chairlift idea is quite brilliant and has it's merits. Afterall, it is quite a long hike from the top of the hill to Thanksgiving. Even worse in the opposite direction. Especially after a long day. Perhaps a three point lift to also get to the middle of Splashin' Safari. Paula? Thoughts?
  9. A ride named after my favorite High School beverage! I'm in! I'll be there opening day!
  10. ^Interesting. Haven't planted something in a long time. Because of this, I decided to plant corn. Kinda like putting it in autoplant mode. Oh, and 23 days till Brandine squirts out her second spawn. Woo Hoo!
  11. Wow! This salvage operation is a real feat of engineering. Sucks that it had to occur from such a tragic situation.
  12. I had to be very careful what short bits I used! Which means no clips recorded on the bus of Ross will ever see the light of day What happens on the bus, stays on the bus. Or as is often the case, ends up on a TPR trip report.
  13. Patriotic Orgy. I think I saw them at Coachella this year. Great TR Chuck! Sorry the event was a tad bit sub-par.
  14. I have never ridden Tranan, and I don't know what it is about this ride, but I just love it! It is one, if not the most interesting coaster concept I have ever seen. I feel drawn to it, like a moth to a flame. It calls to me. Perhaps it caters to my slightly skewed view of life. There's just something not... ...it just doesn't seem right, and I love it for that. I must ride this one day. I need to ride it. Like a mermaid beckons sailors to their watery graves, Tranan beckons to me. Worse case scenario, I will be sure my ashes are taken on it if I should pass. Speaking of which, if I do die, Robb & Elissa, can you take my ashes on a future Scandi trip and spread them on all the great coasters and strip clubs of that region? I would really appreciate it. Can you do dat fo a brotha? Thanky. And to get this back on topic. Beautiful picture Hanno. You can put a smidge of my ashes in one of your photo books for good measure. Just reach in, take a pinch, and apply sparingly.
  15. ^Oh yeah, I remember it well. Pepto Bismol, Key Lime Pie and Ron Rico white rum blended into a frothy goo. I believe they actually call that drink an Xcellerator.
  16. ^^Awww Dude! I love the colors. Mostly because they are so different from any other coaster colors on the planet. I just wish they could keep them fresh and shiny like when they were new.
  17. ^Yeah, but those kinda actors cost money. 6Flags probably found 10 largerish employees, Paid them $7.50 per hour, dressed them up as gladiators, had them sign on camera waivers, and told them to follow the leader. Probably cost them less than hiring one real buff dude for the morning. SAG/AFTRA rate of a single on camera event for 45-60 minutes. $1,137 Source - http://www.sagaftra.org/files/sag/rate_sheet_aftra_network_tv_code_2011-2014.pdf 10 6Flags employees for two hours $7.50 X 10 = $75 X 2 hours = $150 What do you think 6 Flags did?
  18. ^Why didn't anyone get pictures of her sucking on the ride? Those are the pictures I want to see.
  19. Didn't So Cal just yesterday have a smallish quake? I wonder if that may have been a partial cause of the branch/tree falling or shifting?
  20. This really sucks! I'm just glad that everyone appears to be alright for the most part. The evac crews seem to be working pretty quickly getting everyone off the coaster. It looks like they only have 8-10 more riders.
  21. Great TR Erik. Sorry I missed you on this one. I am hoping to get up to Kentucky Kingdom soon and Ride Lightning Run. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your trip.
  22. This is a great trip report to a very unknown park. (Unknown to those of us on the other side of the world.) It looks very nice, colorful and clean. I can see how it would be an awesome park to take the whole family to. Thanks for sharing it with us.
  23. Yes, absolutely. If two incidents happen within two weeks on a coaster, that calls for immediate closure demolition. QFT!
  24. ^This totaly made my day! It was awesome!
