Announcing "Skyline Attractions"
Guy T. Koepp replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
What a great and unexpected announcement! Congrats guys! I am looking forward to seeing what you all have in store for the amusement park industry. -
^Yes, wishful thinking. C'mon people! You gotta work for this answer. Wow! I just wish there was a tool that was at our fingertips that could key into the vast source of the worlds information instantly. Kinda like a system of tubes that could can transfer the answers right to our laps. But that'll never exist! It's science fiction! Guess I'll just have to stick to the Dewy Decimal system at my local library.

Hey Shane. The place is looking better and better with every picture and video I see. So sorry I wasn't able to get by there and see it for myself last week. It was a quick trip into town and I hadn't seen some of my family in 7 years, so I was trying to make up for lost time. We flew over it again on the way out, and I gotta tell ya. Passengers were gawking at the red, white, and blue slide from the airplane. It really stands out when your plane flys in and out from the east. I don't know if you planned that, but it sure is a huge land mark and definitely grabs people's attention. Nice!

Follow the trail of where some of those other rides have already been relocated to and you will probably find where LZ is going. Probably being the key word here. I don't want to be the one to speculate, and make a call. But, I probably think they are not leaving the US. In fact, I probably think they are not being relocated all that far. But probably further than Carowinds. And probably further in land. Guy "But I'm probably wrong." Koepp

When people try to cut me in line. Especially if I see them coming, I put my leg up on the rail and stop them. When they give me an excuse like, "they're catching up to their friends ahead", I just calmly tell them that if those people ahead are truly their friends, then they will wait for them at the exit after they have ridden, and that they can wait in line like the rest of us. I find that usually when one person stands up, suddenly you will have several others that will also show their disapproval and call them out. Generally forcing those individuals to have to keep backing off until no one protests, or exiting the line completely. I was at Kings Island one time waiting for SoB and texted the line jumper notification for a large group of kids that were cutting in line. I was texted back with, "Can you describe them?" I did, and a few minutes later several security guards and a supervisor were at the exit platform. They pulled the group aside as they exited the train. After a small conversation, and what looked like a lot of excuses and pointing, security escorted them off the platform and out of the park. Everyone in line was cheering as they all walked off. It was nice to see a park actually enforcing their policies. Kudos to you KI!

Great footage! I was fortunate to have the pleasure of getting down there for the passholder preview. All I can say is congratulations to Knott's! They have done an exceptional job of restoring not one, but two of my favorite rides as a child. The whole mine has a new life to it that I haven't seen in years. And the Timber Mountain Log Ride is just georgeous! Such a pleasure to see these rides so well restored and moderized. Knott's is becoming a regular stop for me again instead of just my once a year HAUNT visit.

Hint- Two wheels that transport the son of a king? Ahhhhh! Thought it was Smithers bike riding for Mr. Burns. Wrong! Father Sean on a motorcycle? Wrong! Mindy on a motorcycle? Wrong! Does Bart have a bike? I currently have him and Lisa plotting against the Stonecutters for 24 hours. Is it Bart? Wait! Martin has a bike. But is he the son of a king? the bike has flowers on it? Does Lisa ride a bike? I don't remember! Ahhhhhhhh! Help!! I don't want to spend doughnuts for this one.
