  1. *IF* Resorts World actually opens, the Rock in Rio festival site can get more shows besides just the Rock in Rio one, and SLS somehow manages to survive...I think someone will finally buy that eyesore.
  2. It should definitely be an upgrade over the old spinning tunnel!
  3. Looks good to the naked eye. The jewels look tacky to me in the close views, but from far away (where most people will take their photos) it looks good.
  4. Jerry Jones WOULD sign Greg Hardy...
  5. That doesn't seem like it would make much sense. Why would they build a new structure with wood that will already have years of its useful life removed?
  6. ^That's exactly why I'd like to see a wider shot. Lots of shiny things+weird shade of blue=could look super tacky. Or blend right in given the shade of the roof tiles were already blue.
  7. Can't wait to see the coverage! I love that the Haunt industry is growing so much that we have this show AND ScareLA now.
  8. I'd love to see a wider shot. It's hard to tell from that photo if it is going to look tacky or amazing.
  9. At the pace things keep getting added to the area, it sure seems like it is close to being ready!
  10. ^The power of filtration! Still can't wait to visit your park this summer!
  11. I'm all in for Matt Cassel to win the job and lead the Bills to the Super Bowl. Disclosure: he went to my high school.
  12. ^Well if the park is filled to capacity for an extended amount of time, those walkways will theoretically also be needed for an extended period of time. My only point is that I hope Disney isn't resting on its laurels in preparing for this event.
  13. It was built specifically to compete with Universal Orlando, since Eisner was at Universal when UO was under construction and wanted to counter it. My guess is that Studios remains in the name, since so many of the attractions are tied to movies or television.
  14. ^That could end up being a doubled edged sword. Management: "Hey we have more space now! Crowd flow should be better!" Executive: "Great! Now we can let more people in!"
  15. Seems like movie backlot has become the best use for the property!
  16. I only hope that Disney doesn't underestimate the demand again like they did in the first year. Hopefully they continue to learn and improve the crowd control operation.
  17. Twisted Colossus = RMC. RMC = insane. Therefore, Twisted Colossus = insane. It's the Transitive Property of Equality. Although RMC has yet to build any sub-par coasters, it just seems extremely fanboy-ish to say a roller coaster will be good just because of the manufacturer. Same idea for Schwarzkopf coasters; while many are generally fairly highly regarded, it seems that some enthusiasts refuse to believe they aren't slices of heaven in 1970's steel track form. Two disclaimers on this *I understand you were joking a bit, but I've noticed this as a recent trend that I'm not a fan of. It's funny because nowadays it's just the opposite for B&M as some assume they are garbage until they ride it themselves **I am not at all saying Schwarzkopf's are bad coasters. Many of them are awesome, but people act like they are the best invention since the wheel... like saying Whizzer at SF Great America is the best coaster in the park. Until proven otherwise, I think it is a safe assumption that any RMC ride will be a kick ass ride. You know what you're getting. RMC coasters are the new Intamin hypers.
  18. I like the concept of 24 hour events for WDW. Since the majority of WDW guests are on vacation, having the park available for a full 24 hours means they can really enjoy their day without the constraints of worrying about the park closing!
  19. ^I'll be curious to see how adding in the debut of the new shows impacts that. I'm guessing that will spark AP holders interest more than last years event. Though on the flip side, the new pricing has probably thinned the numbers out a bit too.
  20. I'm not sure if I love or hate the fact they are milking the whole 24 hour operation event for everything they can, but it's cool they are using it to debut the new shows. I will personally not want to be anywhere near the madhouse this is sure to be...
  21. Might have to take a BUR-SLC flight and finally check out Lagoon at some point this summer.
  22. I would say that if you want to make theme parks a career, you just need to get your foot in the door and learn as much as possible. I'd say that more often than not, higher levels of management actually work their way up through various departments rather than sticking with one department and hoping it works out. The more knowledge you have, the more valuable you become.
  23. Sorry, I meant in a mini parking stripe pattern. If they glued hotwheels to them, I would instantly take back every bad thing I've ever said about SFMM.
  24. If the Transformers movies can make money, I have no doubt this will still make a fortune---even if it does suck.
  25. I hope they paint them as mini parking stripes!
