  1. CCI rides have definitely not held up well unless the parks that own them have invested heavily in rehabs...GhostRider is just so massive and forceful I imagine that upkeep is nearly impossible.
  2. Midway Mania has the advantage of the Toy Story characters and the unique pullstring guns. I'm very curious to see how people will react to this without any IP attached to it and possibly sub-par animation.
  3. ^I would say that even though the Simpsons is past its prime, it's still very exciting to see it all brought to life. You can't help but geek out a little if you are a Simpsons fan. Plus the food and beer are actually good, something else USH really needed.
  4. I want to check this place out just based on this!
  5. Whatever is on all the castle spires looks tacky in those pictures IMO. Always better to wrap it up though.
  6. Here's the rest! Welcome to Springfield! Homer's workstation at the plant More fun facades! Across the street at Moes...
  7. Season Pass holders to SFMM buy their passes for two reasons: 1. rides. 2. cost. I don't think the majority of their season pass holders will care about a refurbished bathroom or fresh coats of paint.
  8. Another person taking a myopic view. Even if the ride is not for you it balances out the park and will be a crowd pleaser for many. People waiting for and riding Iron Reef will be the people that will not be waiting for the same roller coasters as you at the same time. I just hope the animation is better than what people can currently get a home playing on their PS4.
  9. Not a totally fair comparison since you're not in the park and tip is not included. If I ever make it back to Orlando, I'd probably try the breakfast.
  10. Springfield looks amazing for what is just a bunch of food and beverage locations! My phone is not playing nice without wifi uploading so many photos, so for now here is just a preview photo. Mmmm...Donuts
  11. Also possibly coming in the next five years is a project from Crown Resorts run by the former COO of Wynn (who also happens to be Steve Wynn's nephew).
  12. I'll be there on Sunday for photos... In other news: Universal has gone from an annual pass to a season pass. The new options are one with blackouts or one without blackouts. No parking options available.
  13. “I perceive a day when we pay a little more attention to GhostRider" certainly sounds to me like it could mean something is in store for it....
  14. I'm OK with anything that makes GhostRider better. Topper Track or a full RMC makeover would be fine by me!
  15. ^Definitely. The expanded convention center will be a good start to help draw business travelers that way, and if MGM is able to keep their new festival site booked with more big shows...that's a solid foundation. Resorts World could be the anchor, since SLS has been floundering.
  16. ^Well, Universal is still a movie studio. So it kind of fits that theme where sets back to back to each other are completely different.
  17. Riders "rescued" - hmm, not sure if I'd count getting out on the brake run as a rescue. Slow news day in Orlando, I guess. The first two rows are past the brakes. Those guests had to be "rescued," though it's obvious there was no real danger.
  18. Springfield is coming along nicely! Employees have been seen going in and out all day. Bumbleman Taco Truck signage Walls are starting to come down! Disco Stu does advertise afterall... More awesome details! Oh, and Shrek is getting a nicer queue.
  19. From what I've heard elsewhere, the only prop in the ride will be the Roaring 20's sign and there will not be any other physical elements during the attraction. I have not found any definitive evidence either way, but more points toward the ride being all screens. I think the sign is part of the video.
  20. I'll just be happy if the ride isn't as terrible as it looked in those renderings...
  21. Seems like the park has a unique collection of rides. Too bad they don't operate them well.
  22. ^Some people are known as "credit whores" because they will travel anywhere for even the smallest of coasters. If that's what they enjoy, so be it. I count fair coasters as long as I can distinguish it from all the others. I won't count a kiddie coaster at a fair, because it's nearly impossible to figure out if I've been on it before. I still count coasters, but it's not an obsession. It's more about remembering when/where, so I can look back upon good memories and participate in the coaster ranking polls.
  23. I'll be sad to see Where's the Fire leave. I hear it's pretty awesome after drinking around the world, right Larry?
