  1. ^Not if Kiki Hernandez remains the Madison Bumgarner killer... I honestly hate making predictions so soon, because one key injury and a blockbuster trade can alter a teams fortunes rather quickly. Example: D-backs bolster rotation and look a lot better on paper, then lose AJ Pollack to injury. Based on opening day: NL West: Dodgers (have to pick them) NL Central: Cubs NL East: Nationals NL Wild Card: Giants & Mets in play in game w/ Mets winning (can't pick the Giants) AL West: Astros AL Central: Royals AL East: O's AL Wild Card: Jays & Rangers in play game w/ Jays winning
  2. Probably a "we need something unique that Chinese kids will love because westerners love go karts!"
  3. We all know what we're going to get with this ride because it's a B&M...a fun, above average, but not mind blowing ride with floater airtime, so I'm not sure why we are investing so much time in discussing trims and MCBR's.
  4. ^I would imagine it is because they all want a piece of the action in a potentially lucrative market without the risk of their own investment. Kudos to their team for bringing all them together---looks like it is going to be incredible.
  5. It would make sense, since they need a replacement for Windseeker.
  6. This is the only part I am wondering how they're going to re-install the "driver" etc? From your description of a possible "E-Vac," the new driver could be put in, after guests have exited, and then rolled around to the load station. Easy! And THANKS for The Lurk, lol! They could use the Shakiki effect. Driver AA moves out of view very quickly concealed by lighting and being distracted by Kong "carrying" her away. Anything is possible...
  7. Figured now is as good a time as ever to bring some new life into this thread! When I visited Orlando back in November, it just so happened to coincide with the Laker's visit to Orlando as well. It was bittersweet, since Kobe didn't play and the Lakers lost (one of many....), but a Trojan won the game on a buzzer beater! It's a nice arena with what seemed like great sightlines and all the bells and whistles you would expect from a new arena. It also has a giant attached parking garage, which is convenient but not so fun to exit out of. Here's the concourse. Nice and Spacious, as you would expect for a new arena An overview of the building...didn't really seem like there was a bad seat in the house ...Can stand at the locker room tunnel and high 5 players.... Protip: buy a cheap ticket and use the orlando magic app to upgrade to the ultimate lounge on the event level because... ...you get a delicious all you can eat buffet AND all you can drink (alcohol included)... As a Laker fan, I always have to close by making a joke about teams having more banners than the Clippers... A map of all the levels ...Where you can get great views of one of the best center's in the league (who happens to be a USC alum), and all the other players too I suppose. ,,,And slide right into an empty courtside seat without anyone saying a word (Like Kobe, who sat this one out)... A neat little display on the arena's construction
  8. That sounds like a great name for a death metal band.
  9. I would be OK with it if they added something to make it feel less like the obvious cash grab it is. Give me a "free" Mickey shaped pastry each morning or something and call it a day.
  10. That's actually very disappointing that they would think to tack on a resort fee and include NOTHING extra. You are already paying a premium for all that stuff in the first place, which is why I never felt bad paying a higher rate for a lower quality room at any of the value resorts. Makes you really wonder how bad things are getting financially for Disney (at least in terms of what investors expect) if they are thinking about turning to a resort fee to generate extra revenue...
  11. There is no way I am missing it this year with as much as I travel to Vegas!
  12. I'm glad they are redoing the stunt show as part of the Ghost Town makeover. The old show was fun, but it had gotten stale after seeing it so many times. The article mentioned a 70 foot fall twice, so I sure hope it's a 70 foot fall as that would be awesome to see! It's 100% not a 70 foot fall. The new set is already framed out and it looks like the top level is about 20-25 feet. Could it be similar to the old wild west stunt show at USH where the performer "fell" into a well?
  13. It's actually more like if Magnum XL-200 had trim brakes everywhere so it ran like a mine train. They're the same ride system just utilized in different ways.
  14. It really depends on what you are looking for. There is SO much to do at WDW. Are you a foodie? Just there for the rides? A fan of shows? 5 days is plenty of time to hit just the rides and the key shows if that is all you care about. But there are so many good restaurants, the water parks, golf if that's your thing, behind the scenes tours, etc. etc. too.
  15. Wait, seriously? Wow, they under-utilize the capability of that base with Minions. I get that it's a family ride and all but c'mon, grow some balls. Given that BTTF/Simpsons have the side doors, it makes sense. The motion of BTTF would most likely chuck people out the side of DM! But yes, they are the same motion bases.
  16. They are the exact same thing minus a lift that raises the motion base up a level on simpsons/BTTF. But I wasn't referring to the ride system---I was referring to the content. Extremely outdated. I'm not a fan of motion simulators to begin with, but I still prefer motion simulators with modern projection/content. BTTF is a great franchise, but it is officially filed away into nostalgia (especially when the future is now officially in the past) and not really marketable as a theme park attraction anymore.
  17. I love waterparks! Love the different types of thrills they can provide.
  18. I've always hated the un-covered stations at CGA.
  19. How is it lost if we found it at SFNE?
  20. The franchise isn't the problem---the ride is. Extremely outdated.
  21. I look it at it as one step closer to a credit at sea!
  22. I've been reading from many reports the they are actually smaller -_- But they've added more to the alley behind the stores which I thought was pretty cool. They had to try to fit this thing in the upper lot so I pretty much expected this. Aside from the obviously missing Dragon Challenge, it's nearly identical. From what I can remember from Florida vs. CA, there is actually more space behind Ollivanders, a larger restroom, and more outdoor seating at Three Broomsticks in addition to the extra little alleyway CA has because there is no Dragon Challenge.
  23. There is a giant queue built in citywalk and already about 40 people queued up for the official opening tomorrow.
  24. It really makes you wonder how the theme park landscape could have changed if this came to be and Universal had the Harry Potter license much earlier.
