Disney also lists themselves as the manufacturer of all their rides, so they can make their own rules. Other parks have to go by what the manufacturer has in the SOP, which for the most part does include a "no loose articles" rule just as a CYA precaution.

Awesome report on the park! Guess we know where TPR will be staying if/when there is a Brazil trip!

^Pretty sure Google only came out with Google+ to get in on that privacy invading (read: more targeted advertising) action.

I'm still rocking an original Droid. Just installed Cyanogen Mod 7.1 to keep it ticking a little bit longer. Will definitely be upgrading very soon, once I decide which route to take...iPhone 4S or Galaxy Nexus.

Bremen Freimarkt - German carnival - Oct. 15th

Aside from being insanely jealous of all the cool rides German fairs get, I think it's really cool how they integrated the "old" with "new." -
Missed Credits: Coasters you COULD have...
Jew replied to RIP Psyclone's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I skipped eejanaika @ Fuji Q because I didn't feel like waiting 3 hours for an X clone. I also missed all the credits at Geauga Lake thanks to Cedar Point's awful rain policy. I needed an extra day to get the credits at CP instead of being able to head on over to Geauga Lake. -
Which Coaster Gives The Best AIRTIME???
Jew replied to Crazy4Coasters!'s topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Dodonpa has the single most intense moment of ejector airtime I have ever experienced. T-express, El Toro, and the Megalites all come a close second. God bless Intamin! -
Anyone have stick recommendations? Considering getting back into playing hockey again on a beer league team for a fun workout...not looking to spend $250/stick though!

^What ride are you talking about? -
Bob, I have a business proposition for you. http://lingeriebasketball.com/

^It's an occupational hazard of the industry. In fact, you can say that putting them in confined spaces and telling them to stay there actually makes their job more dangerous. Not all the performers have "trap doors" they can hide behind, so the majority are left open to being cornered by guests and not having the luxury of a big room/space to run away. I personally just think that is the creative direction of the event. Try to wow the guests with really good looking sets, so all they have to do is basic startle scares to get the job done. It's totally boring to me.

TPR's Orlando Halloween Trip of Awesomeness
Jew replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's a shorter coaster, but the same fun dark ride as the others! -
My review: production value is amazing, but the scares are BORING. Too much "pop out, reset" and not enough actual scaring. Thought Bill & Teds was real hit and miss: funny as hell when it worked, but also felt real forced in some points (especially the ending). My top three were: Holidays of Horror, Nevermore, and The Forsaken.

Ongoing TR: Magical Halloween in LA - The Haunt
Jew replied to Rastuso's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I stayed at the hotel once (had a new years eve Party there). It's a converted apartment complex. They do a good job giving it a boutique hotel feel. -
^The WNBA just finished their season.

^^Heckles & Twitch did not always have a show. They were just street characters harassing people with megaphones for years before USH (and later SFMM) gave them an actual show. So much so, that I was always under the impression that was sort of an unoffical theme for the Gotham/DC Universe area: psycho clowns harassing/scaring people, since the majority of the monsters there (led by Heckles & Twitch) seemed to follow that pattern.

The event is given a PG-13 rating for a reason. I still don't get what all the fuss is about. It was a wannabe actor/comedian making a bad joke trying to play his role. If this is such a big deal, where is the outrage when Bill & Teds or the Hanging make references to homosexuality and all sorts of other "offensive" material? Why hasn't anyone ever complained on here about Heckles & Twitch (who have been making fun of guests at the park for at least 10 years now)?
