  1. It's not the same ride layout or programming. We can end this discussion now.
  2. Did you notice if the Sartori booth still have a picture of their rotating seats drop tower concept? I saw that when IAAPA was in Vegas a few years ago and thought it seemed like a cool concept!
  3. There's rumors floating around that Haunt might be undergoing some big changes for next year. The most prominent rumor is that the Log Ride and Mine Ride will not return as haunted attractions. Other rumors were reducing the amount of mazes (hopefully to focus on quality) and reducing the amount of nights.
  4. Did KMG have models or concept art for the other new rides they debuted this year? Also, that GCI big fun concept seems l ike it is going to be a HUGE hit! Small parks/family fun centers can now get a super cheap big ticket ride! Great coverage guys!
  5. I wouldn't read too far into that. Every park in the country with a Halloween event does the same. Knotts is still trying to sell shirts from haunt from 5 years ago at a discount
  6. They already said at comic con there will be an evac toy created for wide release. I just wasn't sure if it was for sale yet.
  7. I would like to remind everyone that this was JUST posted in the thread. Please remember to read before posting and keep the thread on topic.

  9. One thing worth noting: it was mentioned when Blackstone put their share of Universal Orlando up for sale how one of the terms of their licensing deal w/ WB was that Universal had to have controlling ownership of the parks or else they could lose their license. Currently the only properties Universal actually owns outright are the Hollywood and Orlando parks (Singapore is owned by Resorts World Sentosa & I believe Universal only has a small share of ownership left in USJ). Hmm....
  10. It's sea water. Some ships just filter the water, while others will Desalinate the water.
  11. Glad to see KMG staying at the forefront of the flat ride business! I hope more of their rides come to the U.S.
  12. I'll give you Pony Express (which was a last minute addition after Jack Falfas liked what he saw at IAAPA), but I would say KBF's project team has done a great job making the most of the space and investing money into the park. I doubt that. In fact, news outlets (and knotts PR) will probably spin it as more construction jobs/tourism money in a down economy.
  13. ^Not in Clark County (where the strip is). As for this renovation? I'll believe it when I see it. They originally planned to convert the place into an SLS hotel, but that would require MAJOR work as the Sahara rooms are tiny by luxury hotel standards.
  14. I really dont think they care. If they advertise it like they are doing with with DJV over in SFNE and Goliath. The GP wont know the difference of a used coaster or a new coaster as long as its "new" to the park. The Gp is really the only people six flags Caters to to, us coaster people are the moinority hear. SFNE isn't in the same market as a Disney resort, Knotts, Universal, and to a lesser extent Legoland & Sea World.
  15. ^Well, they did just ship two rides to other parks within the chain...but I don't think they will do that for a park as big as SFMM.
  16. No statement from Danny Rogers?
  17. Anyone who loves Log Jammer never had to evacuate it.
  18. ^You're actually the type of person they are targeting with this. I'm sure they are aware of the fact that many of their pass holders opt not to spend money inside the park on food, since I am guessing the majority of them are locals. Getting those people to pay $40-60 for something they wouldn't normally spend a dime on seems like it could be a profitable idea for them, as I can imagine that for everyone one person who does eat their monies worth, there are 10 more who won't.
  19. ^Not officially. A developer ported a "limited" version of Siri over to a jailbroken 4th generation iPod Touch, but that is it. Android has some apps that do the same thing in theory (speaktoit and Vlingo come to mind), but are not as accurate or as extensive as Siri.
  20. Japan sure does love putting major theme parks next to the ocean!
  21. I'm glad this looks like it is moving forward. Should make for an excellent add on to a cruise! Much better than spending the night in ghetto downtown Miami by the port.
  22. What are the annual pass/carls jr coupon prices? People are cheap. Halloween isn't typically crowded, but if the price is low it will be very hard to predict.
