Can anybody really blame Lane Kiffin for leaving Tennessee after seeing that Tattoo?

^I think you are missing the point. Raising the cost will in theory lower the demand, while still allowing them to make the same (or more) amount of money. Smart business decision. I'm sure they will keep tweaking the pricing and amount for sale until they find that sweet spot. -

If they are selling out everyday, as Larry said, they have to raise the price to ensure supply meets demand. I'm sure they will continue to adjust prices accordingly based on the demand. They'd be crazy not to. -

I suspect the "significant investment" will involve making is more of an FEC and less of a water park. -

As with previous years, I am guessing that despite the shared themes, the mazes will be totally different on each coast. -
There's really a My little Pony with a walker?!?!? I guess they have to cater to their creepy older audience too?!?!?!

Looks like work is getting ready to pick up on the football stadium too. -
The Sky Coaster will be removed with the building of the Star Flyer. Wow. I would have thought they would have put it where Time Warp was rather than remove an attraction. Perhaps the skycoaster was no longer profitable? Sky Coasters do come with higher operating costs, so it wouldn't be surprising to see that their ROI has gone down over the years. All the ride operators have to be certified by the Sky Coaster company (who only visit each park once or twice a year to conduct the testing) and also get paid more than a ride operator. If I remember correctly, maintenance was also surprisingly costly for the same reason as well (Sky Coaster Inc. having so much control).

What good would come from appealing? More dirt unearthed? Though I agree that not giving Penn State full due process (the Freeh report is a very one sided account with lots of room to poke holes in) is very shady, letting this drag on any further than it needs to and allow more dirt to be unearthed was not in the schools best interest. Good for him. Schools circled the wagons around USC's upper class-men. Now Lane gets to have some fun too! And hopefully add some much needed depth at RB.

The NCAA had no choice. If they did nothing but let the courts settle it, what kind of message would that send? "Protect your football program at all costs...we don't care!" Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if the board of trustees was in on it too and the Freeh report is just their way of making sure they have a scapegoat. The culture of "football is God" goes beyond just a few people.

^Rules are rules and should be followed... But what bugs me is how agents trying to leech off a kid results in a "competitive advantage." If a kid can ball, regardless of what school he is from, agents will be trying to pay him off. And chances are, unless he is already financially well off, he and his family are probably accepting something they shouldn't. Boosters paying for recruits is cheating. Douchebags just trying to use a player for their own benefit isn't cheating. Nevermind the fact the NCAA had Paul Dee (the A.D. when Nevin Shapiro was allegedly paying all these players) as the chair of its infractions committee...

^Speaking of Miami... http://sports.yahoo.com/news/ncaaf--hurricanes-coach-al-golden-s-staff-used-booster-s-associate-in-potential-recruiting-violations.html Personally, aside from the fact I am a USC fan (who without a doubt got screwed by the NCAA), I really hate the NCAA. Lets be honest...any star football or basketball player has received improper benefits in one way or another since they turned 15 years old. Whether it be "sponsorships" of their club teams, runners hooking them and their families up with stuff, or just using their celebrity status to get free stuff...everyone wants a piece of what is projected to be the millions of dollars they will make. And the farce that is the NCAA turns a blind eye to keep cashing those fat checks except when they are forced to take action by media reports.

Plus it is a GCI, so you know it won't have too many negative-G's. It'll most likely just be lots of fun with tiny pops of air throughout. -
^My thoughts exactly. If Universal creates a blockbuster attraction, why wouldn't they want it available on both coasts to market to the entire country? I'd be willing to bet that 9/10 guests of USH or UO have never been to the other Universal park. Plus, USH will always have the Studio Tour as a unique attraction that will continue to be a big draw.

To be fair, at the time it was first announced, that original plan probably was in the best interests of GE. The real estate market was still on the tail end of being hot, production was fleeing LA County for cheaper regions, and the theme parks were barely a blip on their revenue radar. Of course now that NBCUniversal is no longer owned by a conglomerate who could make money on real estate development, this plan makes much more sense.

^That would definitely be an X-rated show. -
I never really understood the point of not selling booze considering at least 1/2 the stadium is already drunk from tailgating anyways. Thankfully the security at the Coliseum sucks, so I always have an extra drink/flask or two in tow for USC games.
