Doesn't someone inspect the rides when they are done? ...Or I guess not. The state only inspects the operations/maintenance of the ride, and the county/fire marshals usually only inspect for emergency stuff like pathways, signage, and procedures. Something like this falls through the cracks unless there is an accident.

I suspect the video quality has something to do with safety: I bet that there are only so many people approved to touch the ride at this time, so they probably just had to make do with what was available. I'm sure an HD POV will be coming soon. I applaud the park for trying, since I can't recall POV videos for first test runs being posted before? -
MTV Developing Theme Park Drama

I bet you're thrilled the producers of Buckwild will be keeping that show alive in another town though! -
http://www.vegastripping.com/news/blog/4957/the-park-details-and-renderings/ MGM is getting in on the outdoor pavilion action. Looks pretty generic, but should be a nice way to keep life in that area on non-event days for the arena.

MTV Developing Theme Park Drama

^I'm sure by drama, they mean another teenage based drama that is part comedy, part romance, part drama. -
Bryce Harper is a "phenom" and Stephen Strasburg has is one of the best pitchers in baseball if he's pitching. The Mets on the other hand are quite a mess. My tip would be to get the best seats possible. If you're only going to get to experience a game once, might as well do it up close with all you can eat/drink if you can afford the club seating.

As mentioned before the theme is gold mining and the tunnel is to simulate a mine shaft. ...Which is just the PR excuse for noise abatement. -
I suspect they would have saved it for today. I'd love to see the box scores from the previous times Grienke hit Quinton to get some perspective. What were the scores of those games at the time and what was the count? As Don Mattingly noted, it would be very stupid to intentionally hit someone on a full count (why waste all those pitches if your intent is to hit the guy?) of a 2-1 game against a team in your division.
-
^Umpires would have to warn both benches first, prior to a pitcher being ejected. Umps know the unwritten rules of baseball too. They'd let Quinton get hit before issuing the warning.

Love the merchandise! Who on the TPR Japan trip wants my shopping list?

Since it is Europe and not the sue happy USA, I'm confident adults can find ways to injure themselves and have a blast on all those playgrounds too!

That would be great if they closed the mountain down after Labor day and have a Easter reopening. If the public were to see the love going into this park they would be happy. Then comes opening day, i know they would come and check it out. Park mgmt really needs to voice this to corp office. I want to see this park restored to it's once glory. The vast majority of the public only cares about Six Flags for the rides. They'd rather have SFMM add a new thrill ride every year than close down to fix the place up. Do we like it? No way. There's so many things wrong with the infrastructure and service it's not even worth listing here anymore. But it doesn't matter---thrill rides and cheap annual passes sell.

The Rise of Intamin

They became prominent the second they said "hey, we sell a bunch of stuff from other people---why don't we try this ourselves and build all the stuff we know the other guys won't?" -
^Exactly.Something that is nearly 3 years old from different teams is not "history." Every pitcher should be throwing at the guy the way he hangs over the plate so much. Had he not dropped the appeal, he would have played in LA tonight---then he'd really know what it feels like to be intentionally thrown it.

I've never understood the appeal of MK's Space Mountain. i've always found it to be a rickety wild mouse indoors. From what I've seen on youTube DL's Space Mountain looks to have more of the dips of the classic wood coasters with some pretty cool projections and an amazing Michael Giacchino soundtrack. Florida's Space Mountain is by far the more intense version. It is definitely rougher, but also offers tons of real airtime to go with it! Back on topic: these violations just seem like an oversight on someones part. They probably just assumed what they had in place was adequate, as nothing had happened prior to the Space Mountain incident and on the surface it seemed safe (if they guy had never fell, no one would ever know they were tied off onto something that turned out to be unsafe).

Leave it to EA to make this cross-platform thing frustrating. Even after I login to Origin, it still wants to use the town I played for like 10 minutes on the pre-origin version on my phone instead of downloading the one I've played on my iPod.
