  1. The loophole for that is that you can flip the puck towards the benches. It's only a penalty when it clears the glass.
  2. It's the first Technical Park Street Fighter Revolution in the U.S. Goes all the way upside down instead of the normal 270 degree swinging.
  3. The sushi is freshly made from an outside vendor. It's probably one of the safest things in the park.
  4. As if Disney needed any more reason to revise their GAP pass policies...
  5. At least that is something relevant to the guest experience.
  6. I am very disappointed iamawesome hasn't blown up this thread yet.... What a game 7 for Boston!
  7. Only in the SFMM thread would there be multiple pages complaining about a fence.
  8. That ride is a KMG Swing It. I believe that one is the only one in the U.S.
  9. Just because they were one of the first to receive a ride doesn't mean it wasn't in the planning stages for at least a few years prior. Most parks operate on 5-10 year expansion plans.
  10. Perhaps they are not finished? Knowing SFMM, they probably are, but I don't think it is fair to judge them yet. As far as the chain link fence for the tunnel, I believe there are standards on ride track fencing that they have to follow.
  11. How dare they make sure the ride track area is secure!
  12. Depending on the manufacturer specifications, a train may not need a complete rebuild for awhile (3-5 years). Regular maintenance can be done when the park is closed. My educated guess would be that SFMM falls behind on regular maintenance (IIRC, they only have 2 or 3 people in their cycle shop), which is what causes trains to have to stay offline for so long.
  13. That's how things were last season too...
  14. Dustin Penner's goal is why the #1 (or perhaps #2, besides head on a swivel) of hockey is play until the whistle!
  15. CET purchased the majority of Planet Hollywood's debt and took over the property in 2010. Carl Ichain owns Fountainbleau and has already made it clear he intends to sell it, either as scrap or to another developer who wants to finish it. He already sold all the furnishings/carpeting/etc. The Plaza hotel in Downtown purchased a bunch of it for their renovation.
  16. ^This has been discussed over and over again, but to recap: an entire generation grew up reading the books/watching the movies, so it will be popular for years to come. The modern version of Star Wars.
  17. ^Yup. Mixed up my crappy casinos.
  18. I'm guessing it'll be open by Memorial Day...
  19. I'm sure these surveys are "throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks" type of surveys where they are just looking into the possibilities of some new licenses.
  20. ^Unless the queue is already configured to handle such a setup. The train stations could serve as "neutral zones," like how you are not officially in a country until you clear customs. Just have the exits covered with turnstiles, and food/retail options inside each station. Not saying they will do that, but it is just one of the many possibilities.
  21. Meh...rarely funny and mostly obnoxious. The fake Chinese accent got annoying quick. That bit would be funnier if he acted just as a normal reporter.
  22. Side note: didn't even realize this at the time, but the photo I posted of the Imperial Palace casino is actually the old O'Shea's. They completely rebuilt it. The main IP, err, Quad casino is still being remodeled.
  23. I think Robb has the right idea---it's a train station! Like any other train station, they can either check the tickets before you board or after you exit (which is actually what I suspect, so the train attraction can add a little extra capacity to each park). Either way it's not a very complicated system.
  24. ^That's why I bumped the thread. I honestly have no idea. I noticed it was an older listing as well. Hoping someone here knows more?
